IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
PLEASE READ AND SAVE THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including:
• Please read and save this instruction and care manual
• Remove all bags and packaging from appliance prior to use.
• Never leave Toaster unattended while in use.
• Make sure the appliance is cleaned thoroughly before using.

• Warning: hot surfaces. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• Close supervision is necessary when appliance is used by or near children.
• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord, damaged plug, after the appliance malfunctions, is dropped, or damaged in any manner. Return your Clear View Toaster to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, electrical, or mechanical adjustment.
• Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas burner, hot electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Never operate the Toaster without its proper accessories.
• Do not use the appliance if any of the parts are damaged.
• Do not place the cord, plug, or unit near water or other liquids.
• When using extension cords, make sure the marked electrical rating is at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the appliance, plug, or cord in water or any other liquid.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they are provided with supervision and instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Do not place utensils, ngers, or other foreign objects inside the Toaster while in use as this may result in re, electric shock, or injury.
• Do not use appliance for other than its intended use.
• Always be sure to turn off and unplug the appliance prior to assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and storage.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of tables or counters.
• Do not attempt to dislodge food when the Toaster is plugged in. Unplug and allow the appliance to cool down completely before proceeding.
• Do not use attachments that are not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer, as this may result in re, electric shock, or
personal injury.
• Only plug your appliance into a power outlet of the correct voltage (A.C. only) as marked on the appliance.
• Warning: always unplug appliance from outlet when not in use and before cleaning to prevent the risk of electric shock. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not let the power cord touch hot surfaces as the cord may become damaged by the heat.
• Do not use appliance outdoors or for commercial purposes.
• Make sure the appliance is off rst before unplugging from outlet.
• Do not use the appliance for defrosting food other than bread and
wafes.
• If the Carriage Lever is stuck while the Toaster is on, immediately unplug the appliance and let it cool down before emptying and cleaning. If the problem persists, discontinue use of the appliance.
• Do not place wet foods inside the Toaster.
• Oversized foods, utensils, or metal foil packages must not be
inserted into the Toaster as this may result in re or electric shock.
• Do not place food in the Toaster that has been covered with butter,
jelly, frosting or other condiments as this may result in re, smoke,
or jamming of the appliance.
• A re may occur if the Toaster is covered or touching ammable
materials, such as curtains, draperies or walls, when in operation.
• StoreBound shall not accept liability for damages caused by improper use of the appliance.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not completely t in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
• A shorter power cord is provided to reduce the risk of tripping and entanglement. Be cautious of the risks when using a long extension cord. The extension cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
