Getting started / setup
AlthoughtheScansonicR4issophisticated,gettingstartedissimple.ToplayFMradio,allyouneedisa
powersource(a100-240Vmainssupply).
ForMusicPlayermode,youneedeitheraUSBstickwithmusicfilesorawired/wirelessEthernet networkandaUPnPmusicserver(e.g.aPC).
ForInternet-connectedmodessuchasInternetradioorPandora,youalsoneedabroadbandInternet connection.
01 PlaceScansonicR4onasuitableshelfortableandplugitintoapoweroutlet.
02 Toreceivebroadcastradio(FM),extendthetelescopicantenna.
03 PressandholdStandbytopoweron.
SETUPWIZARD
WhenScansonicR4isstartedforthefirsttime,itrunsthroughasetupwizardtoconfiguresettingsfor date/timeandnetwork.Oncethishasfinished,thesystemisreadytouseinmostmodes.
Note:Tochangethesesettingslater,selectMenu>Systemsettings>.
Torunthesetupwizardagain,selectMenu>Systemsettings>
Setupwizard.
SelectYestostartthesetupwizard.
Note:Ifyouwanttouseawirednetwork,bypassthesetupwizard.
IfyouchooseNo,thenextscreenasksifyouwouldliketorunthe
wizardnexttimeScansonicR4isstarted.Thesystemthenstartswithoutconfiguringtime/dateand networksettingsandenterstheMainMenu.
Note:Ifpowerisremovedwhilethewizardisinprogress,thewizardwillrunagainnexttimeScansonic
R4isstarted.
