S7 PVE Function Block with Spool Position (SP) Option

This function block controls the output of Danfoss Series 7 valve actuators configured for a spool position (SP) option.
An analog voltage signal on the dedicated SP output pin lets you derive the position of the main spool. The spool position output is derived from the LVDT spool position.

Inputs

Inputs to the function block are described.
Item Type Range Description Sp_Pin Bus —— Analog input from the valve actuator to notify the valve actuator’s status – error warning or spool
position.

Outputs

Outputs of the function block are described.
Item Type Range Description Fault U16 —— This signal indicates if input values are valid. It’s a bitwise code, so multiple items can be reported at a
time. 0x0000 There is no fault. 0x8001 Input value too high. 0x8002 Input value too low. When there is an error, the output Sp_Pos is set to 0.
Sp_Pos S16 -700 to 700 Spool position.

Fault Logic

Fault logic detects problems that can occur in the function block.

Configure an MFIn

Configure the input from the valve actuator that notifies the block of the state of the pin.
1. In the PLUS+1® GUIDE template, enter the Inputs page.
2. Enter the MFIn that receives the input signal.
3. Make the changes that are shown in the following figure.

Configure the DigAn so that it can accept the input signal.
1. In the GUIDE template, enter the Inputs page.
2. Enter the DigAn that receives the input signal.
3. Make the changes that are shown in the following figure.
