VLT® Leakage Current Monitor Module
RCMB20 and RCMB35

The Leakage Current Monitoring Module is
speci cally adapted to VLT® frequency converters
and comes as a pre-con gured connection kit,
eliminating the need for con guration of
monitoring parameters.

Danfoss introduces a drive
integrated Leakage Current Monitor
Module that detects insulation
faults and unwanted leakage
currents. Specially adapted to the
VLT® drive, the module monitors the
entire drive system, including  lter,
frequency converter, motor and
motor cable.

The module has been developed in
cooperation with Bender, one of the
world’s leading specialists within
insulation monitoring. The module is
CE certifi ed and UL listed.

Increases plant safety

The module reliably detects system
errors in IT and TN grids. Not only does
this guarantee the avoidance of
sudden shutdowns due to failures, it
also facilitates early detection of faults
in the system setup.

In order to ensure safe and reliable
monitoring, the module functions
independently of the drive system and
only shares the power supply with the
drive. To provide additional protection
the module can also be confi gured to
monitor entire drive groups.

Easy operation

One of the main benefi ts of the
completely preconfi gured module is
that it is fast and easy to install, due to
the fact that it is not necessary to set
additional parameters.

The module is especially suited for
reliable operation in IT or TN grids,
which are common in the chemical,
raw commodities and marine
industries, where it can help prevent
sudden production breakdowns.
