BD35F and BD50F Compressors
UL Approval
News Letter No. 4 june 2003
Introduction
We are pleased to announce that the BD 35F and 50F have been UL approved.
Background
It’s not mandatory that the BD types should be UL approved as they are considered low voltage devices.
The reason why we applied for UL approval is that some BD customers need the approval in order to have the complete system UL
approved.
For customers operating in USA it will be a sales feature in general that the BD is UL approved. It should be used proactively in
sales situations.

The code nos included are:
BD 35F: 101Z0200 Standard
BD 35F: 101Z0204 Inch connections
BD 50F: 101Z1220 Standard
BD 50F: 101Z0203 Inch connections
Electronic: 101N0210/211 Standard
Electronic: 101N0220/221 EMI shielded
Electronic: 101N0300/301 AEO version

The UL f le no will be the same as for the other Danfoss household compressors.

The f le will be available from the UL web page or can be forwarded on request from Danfoss.
Availability
Effective from week 27 – 2003; compressors will be marked with the UL label. See drawing below.
Our stock of BD compressors will not be updated. This means that compressors bought after week 27 may still be without UL
label.
Literature
The instruction and data sheets will be updated when the next revision takes place.
