Important Safety Information

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

CAUTION: To prevent a child from being entrapped,
keep out of reach of children and not in the vicinity
of freezer or refrigerator. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

• Leave shelves in place so that children may not
easily climb inside.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Ensure that servicing is done by factory authorized
service personnel, to minimize product damage or
safety issues.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) whose physical, sensory or
mental capabilities may be different or reduced,
or who lack experience or knowledge, unless such
persons receive supervision or training to operate
the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. Grounding
reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an
escape wire for the electrical current.
This appliance has a cord that has a grounding
wire with a 3-prong plug. The power cord must be
plugged into an outlet that is properly grounded.
If the outlet is a 2-prong wall outlet, it must be
replaced with a properly grounded 3-prong wall
outlet. The serial rating plate indicates the voltage
and frequency the appliance is designed for.
WARNING - Improper use of the grounding
plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualifi ed electrician or service agent
if the grounding instructions are not completely
understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the
appliance is properly grounded.
Do not connect your appliance to extension
cords or together with another appliance in the
same wall outlet. Do not splice the power cord.
Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the
third ground prong from the power cord. Do not
use extension cords or ungrounded (two prongs)
adapters.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similar qualifi ed person in order to avoid hazard.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
LOCATION
• Two people should be used when moving the
appliance.
• Remove interior and exterior packaging prior to
installation. Wipe the outside of the appliance
with a soft, dry cloth and the inside with a
lukewarm wet cloth.
• Place the appliance on a fl oor that is strong
enough to support it when it is fully loaded.
• Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight or
near sources of heat, such as a stove or heater,
as this can increase electrical consumption.
Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also
cause the appliance to perform improperly.
• Do not use the appliance near water, for
example in a wet basement or near a sink.
• This appliance is intended for household use
only. It is not designed for outside installation,
including anywhere that is not temperature
controlled (garages, porches, vehicles, etc.).
FEATURES

while still allowing for easy interior viewing.

• Before connecting the appliance to a power
source, let it stand upright for approximately
6 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a
malfunction in the cooling system from handling
during transportation.
• This appliance is 44.5 cm (17.5 inches) wide
by 68.9 cm (27.1 inches) high by 50 cm
(19.7 inches) deep. Make sure that you leave
the minimum amount of space between the
appliance and all surrounding walls and vents.
• Allow 12.7 cm (5 inches) of space between the
back, sides and top of the appliance and all
adjacent walls.
• This appliance is intended for free-standing
installation only and is not intended to be
built into a cabinet or counter. Building in this
appliance can cause it to malfunction.
LEVELING INSTRUCTIONS
There is an adjustable leg on the bottom of the
appliance that can be turned up or down to ensure
that the appliance is level. It is important that the
appliance is level to minimize noise and vibration.
To level the appliance:
1. Move the appliance to its fi nal location.
2. Turn the leveling leg counter-clockwise as far as
it will go, until the top of the foot is touching the
bottom of the chassis.
3. Slowly turn the leveling leg clockwise until the
appliance is level.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
The temperature of the beverage centre is controlled
by adjusting the thermostat control knob on the
back of the unit. To achieve maximum cooling
temperature quickly:
• Turn the temperature control knob clockwise to
the widest, darkest part of the graduated blue
control dial.
• Allow the unit to run at this setting for 3 - 4
hours.
• Turn the temperature control knob to the middle
position on the graduated blue control dial, as
per Fig. A.
• To turn the beverage centre off, turn the control
knob to the “0” position, as per Fig. B. If the
beverage centre will not be used for an extended
period of time, it is recommended to unplug the
unit and leave the door partially open to avoid
possible formation of odors inside the unit.
STOCKING INSTRUCTIONS
This beverage centre has a maximum capacity of
90, 355 mL cans.
1. The fi rst shelf holds ten 355mL cans, when laid
horizontally fi ve across and two deep.
2. The next two shelves hold 25 cans each, when
arranged vertically, fi ve cans across, fi ve cans
deep.
3. The bottom section holds 30 cans, when laid
horizontally, fi ve cans across, two cans deep
and three cans high.
Note: The beverage centre can accommodate up
to 95, 355 mL cans by removing the top shelf and
stacking cans on top of one another.
SHELF INSTRUCTIONS
To remove a shelf from its locked position, lift the
rear of the shelf upward and then slide the shelf out
of the unit.
Note: On the graduated blue dial, the thicker,
darker blue indicates colder temperatures and the
thinner, lighter blue indicates warmer temperatures.
The beverage centre temperature will vary
depending on the quantity of bottles stored in the
unit and the frequency that the door is opened.
To replace the shelf, ensure it is resting securely on
the support brackets and then push inward until the
shelf locks into place.
INTERIOR LIGHT
To manually operate the blue interior light, press the
light switch situated on the left side of the interior
light housing on the ceiling of the unit. This will
allow the light to remain on while the door is closed.
Note: The light will default to off. It can be turned
on to run continually. Due to energy effi ciency
requirements for a beverage centre in this size,
there is no option to have the light turn on when the
door opens.

DOOR REVERSAL INSTRUCTIONS
If the appliance is placed on its back or side for any length of time during this process, it must be allowed
to remain upright for 6 hours before plugging it in to avoid damage to the internal components.
Ensure the appliance is unplugged before completing the door reversal.
• Remove the screws from the lower hinge assembly and door support bracket.
• Pull the door downward to remove it from the cabinet.
• Remove the screw from the upper hinge cap and then remove the two screws from the upper hinge
assembly.
• Remove the two plastic caps from the cabinet and the door plug from the top of the door.
• Install the upper hinge assembly and hinge cap on the opposite side of the unit.
• Place the door against the unit and push up until the pin in the upper hinge assembly slots into the hole
where the door plug was removed.
• Install the lower hinge assembly and door bracket support on the opposite side of the unit.
• It is recommended at this juncture to stand the unit upright and check that the door is level and that the
gasket is making a good seal with the cabinet all the way around. If the door is not level or if the gasket
is not touching the cabinet at any point, double check that all hinge screws are tight.
• Install the two plastic caps in the holes in the cabinet where the upper hinge assembly was removed.
• Install the door plug in the top of the door where the upper hinge pin used to be.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
Ensure the appliance is unplugged before cleaning.
• To clean the inside of the appliance, use a soft
cloth and a solution of a tablespoon of baking
soda to one quart of water or a mild soap
solution or some mild detergent.
• Wash removable shelves in a mild detergent
solution, then dry and wipe with a soft cloth.
• Clean the outside with a soft, damp cloth and
some mild detergent.
• It is important to keep the area clean where the
door seals against the cabinet. Clean this area
with a soapy cloth. Rinse with a damp cloth and
let dry.
Note: Do not use cleaners containing ammonia or
alcohol on the appliance. Ammonia or alcohol can
damage the appearance of the appliance. Never
use any commercial or abrasive cleaners or sharp
objects on any part of the appliance.
POWER FAILURE
VACATION
• Short vacations: Leave the appliance operating
during vacations of less than three weeks.
• Long vacations: If the appliance will not be used
for several months, remove all items and turn
off the appliance. Clean and dry the interior
thoroughly. To prevent odor and mold growth,
leave the door open slightly, blocking it open if
necessary.
MOVING
• Remove all items.
• Turn the adjustable leg up to the base to avoid
damage.
• Tape the door shut.
• Be sure the appliance stays secure in the upright
position during transportation. Also protect the
outside of the appliance with a blanket or similar
item.
• If the appliance is placed on its back or side
during transportation, upon reaching the
destination, allow it to remain upright for 6
hours before plugging in to avoid damage to the
internal components.
Most power failures are corrected within a few
hours and should not affect the temperature of your
appliance if you minimize the number of times the
door is opened. If the power is going to be off for
a longer period of time, take the proper steps to
protect your contents.
Note: Wait 3 to 5 minutes before attempting
to restart the appliance if operation has been
interrupted.
DEFROST
This appliance is equipped with an automatic
defrost function and does not require manual
defrosting. Defrost water from the appliance is
channeled into a drip tray located above the
compressor. Heat transfer from the compressor
causes the defrost water to evaporate.
DISPOSAL
This appliance may not be treated as regular
household waste, it should be taken to the
appropriate waste collection point for recycling
of electrical components. For information on local
waste collection points, contact your local waste
removal agency or government offi ce.
