EJECT BUTTON IS UNRESPONSIVE - DISC TRAY DOESN'T OPEN
When the CH-DVR 1500 DVD Recorder is first turned on it will enter INITIAL
SETUP MODE which allows the Time/Date and Language to be set. While the
DVD Recorder is in this mode, the word CYBERHOME will be shown on the front
panel and some of the buttons on the front of the recorder, such as EJECT, will not
function until the Initial Setup is completed.
If you wish to SKIP the Initial Setup and open the disc tray, press ENTER -
RETURN - ENTER on the front panel. Make sure to press each button only once.
This will return the unit to normal operation and allow the disc tray to be opened.
COMPLETING THE INITIAL SETUP PROCEDURE
To complete the Initial Setup procedure, you must connect the Composite Video output to your TV and use the
remote control or front panel navigation buttons to choose the Setup Language and set the Time/Date.

from the back panel of the CH-DVR 1500 to your TV's

corresponding Video Input. *If your TV does not have
at least a Composite Video Input, you cannot connect
the unit directly. In this case you would need an RF
MODULATOR to use this or any DVD Player with
your Television.

Note: The threaded, coaxial RF connector on the back of the CH-DVR 1500 DOES NOT
CARRY the video output signal from the DVD Recorder. This connector is only used for

Select the Video Input on your TV that corresponds to the Composite or S-Video input, whichever is in

use. With most TVs, this is done by pressing the INPUT or VIDEO IN button on the remote. Some TVs
may require you to choose a particular channel.
Once the Initial Setup Screen appears on your TV, you can use the remote control or front panel

navigation buttons to choose a language and set the time and date.
When the Initial Setup is complete the EJECT and other buttons will function normally.

TV signal to the DVD Recorder and/or your TV.
