MONITORING
OVERVIEW
The Syscal calibration process was designed to monitor the accuracy of a previously installed TempTrak® transmitter and its modified* Solid Simulator Probe. This process will be used with the transmitter and solid simulator probe connected, measured as a unit, and in place within the use environment.
Calibration of the transmitter and solid simulator is achieved by comparing the documented readings from the transmitter and solid simulator with the reading from the SysCal™ 35025 Thermocouple instrument and the 50219-K Probe. This reading is referred to as the reference standard.
The Total System Accuracy (TSA) of SysCal is ±0.5°F (±0.3°C). A certificate of calibration from an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory is also supplied. This accuracy will provide a Test Uncertainty Ratio (TUR) of 4:1 when used as the reference standard for the TempTrak transmitter and Solid Product Simulator.
*The modified solid simulator incorporates a secondary hole in the opposite end from where the thermistor sensor is inserted into the solid simulator. This secondary hole is used to place an insertion probe in the vicinity of the simulator’s thermistor sensor.
FEATURES
• Modified Solid Simulator
• On-site testing/certification
• Simple and easy to use
SPECIFICATIONS
BENEFITS
• Provides a way to insert the probe to allow temperature stabilization
• Saves time and labor in the recertification process
• Training times reduced
• System Components: (1) 35025 thermocouple instrument and (2) 50219-K probes
• System Range: -25°F to 180°F (-32°C to 82°C)
• System Accuracy: ±0.5°F (±0.3°C) when probe/instrument are calibrated together and ambient temperature is between 68°F and 86°F (20°C and 30°C)
• Ambient Temperature Range: Operating: 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C)
• Ambient Accuracy: Operating: At ambient temperatures between 32°F to 68°F (0°C to 20°C) and 86°F to 122°F (30°C to 50°C), add ±0.1° error per °F or °C deviation from 68°F and 86°F (20°C and 30°C)
Resolution: 0.1°/1° user selectable
