The Compaq Promise FastTrak100TX2 ATA/100 Dual Channel RAID Controller offers a low-cost, high-performance, high-capacity storage solution that
provides maximum protection against data loss and maximum uptime if a hard drive fails. The FastTrak TX2 Dual Channel RAID controller targets
professional workstation and desktop users running audio/visual, desktop video, and CAD applications. Virtually every major worldwide drive
manufacturer has tested the dependable ATA/100 chipset with high-speed CRC (Cyclical Redundancy Checking). The integrated LBA BIOS automatically
identifies and optimizes the speed of attached drives for maximum throughput and drive compatibility.
Performance
The FastTrak100 TX2 ATA/100 Dual Channel RAID Controller offers two independent data channels to support a maximum of four ATA/100 drives. With
a 66-MHz bus motherboard, the controller achieves outstanding RAID 0 striping with sustained speeds that can reach up to 200 MB/s. The FastTrak100
TX2 ATA/100 Dual Channel RAID Controller protects critical data with faster data transfers under fault-tolerant, two-drive RAID 1 mirroring. The BIOSlevel FastBuild™ technology in the controller offers both automatic and manual array setup menus.
NOTE: For maximum performance, one drive per channel is recommended.

The FastTrak100 TX2 ATA/100 Dual Channel RAID Controller is compatible with Compaq Professional Workstation AP230, Compaq Evo™ Workstation
W4000, and Compaq Evo D300 and D500 Desktops, except not supported for Evo D300v Microtower or Evo D500 Ultra-slim Desktop computers.
