Meat Thermometer

Safety

•The thermometer may be used by children aged 8 or over provided they have been instructed in the safe use of the product and that they understand the hazards and risks involved. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or over, but only under adult supervision.

•The thermometer must be kept out of reach of children under 8 years of age.

•The thermometer may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety, provided they have been instructed in the safe use of the product and understand

the hazards involved. Never let children play with the thermometer.

•The thermometer should only be used as described in this manual.

•The temperature probe on the thermometer is only designed for measuring the internal temperature of foodstuffs. Never attempt to use the thermometer for other types of temperature measurement.

•Never mix old and new batteries. Never mix rechargeable and nonrechargeable batteries.

Note: The temperature probe and the cable between the thermometer and the sensor become very hot during use. There is a risk of burning your fingers.

Care and maintenance

•Always wash the temperature probe and wire after use. Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

•The exterior of the thermometer can be cleaned using a damp cloth, if and when required.

•Remove the batteries and store the thermometer out of reach of children if it is not to be used for a long time.

Buttons and functions

1.[ MEAT/STOP ] Selects the type of meat: BEEF, LAMB, PORK, FISH, BURGER, CHICKEN. Pauses the countdown timer and stopwatch.

2.[ +MIN ] Sets the minutes/resets.

3.[ MODE ] Selects

the thermometer or timer mode, confirms.

4.[ TASTE/START ] Selects the doneness level: RARE,

WELL, M WELL (medium well), MEDIUM, M RARE (medium rare). Starts the countdown timer and stopwatch.

5.[ -SEC ] Sets the seconds/resets.

6.[ ON/OFF ] On/off switch.

7.Battery cover.

8.Temperature probe socket.

Operating instructions

Batteries and temperature scale selection

1. Remove the battery cover from the back of the thermometer and insert 2 × AAA/LR03

batteries. Note the polarity markings in the battery compartment to ensure correct battery insertion.

2. Select the unit of temperature using the selector above the battery holder.

Measuring temperature

1. Insert the probe into the meat so that the tip is at the thickest part of the meat.

2. Switch the thermometer on using the [ ON/OFF ] switch (6).

3. Select the type of meat using the [ MEAT/STOP ] button (1).

4.Put the meat into the oven with the probe still inside. Run the probe wire out through the side of the oven door.

5.Place the thermometer where there is no risk of it falling down and where the wire is not in the way.

6.The thermometer will emit an audible signal and the display will start to flash when the set temperature has been reached.

Manual setting of the target temperature

1.Hold in [ MODE ] for 3 seconds until the temperature starts flashing.

2.Press [ +MIN ] or [ -SEC ] to set the desired temperature.

3.Push [ MODE ] to save your settings.

4.The thermometer will emit an audible signal and the display will start to flash when the set temperature has been reached.

Countdown timer/stopwatch

Countdown timer

1.Press [ MODE ] to select the countdown timer/stopwatch mode.

2.Press [ +MIN ] or [ -SEC ] to set the desired cooking time.

3.Press [ TASTE/START ] to start the timer.

4.When the set time has elapsed, the thermometer will emit an audible signal and the display will flash.

5.You can interrupt the timer countdown at any time by pressing the [ MEAT/STOP ] button.

6.Press [ +MIN ] and [ -SEC ] simultaneously to reset the timer to zero.

Stopwatch

1.Press [ MODE ] to select the countdown timer/stopwatch mode.

2.Press [ TASTE/START ] to start the stopwatch.

3.You can interrupt the time taking at any time by pressing the [ MEAT/STOP ] button.

4.Press [ +MIN ] and [ -SEC ] simultaneously to reset the stopwatch to zero.

Display backlight

Press any of the buttons at any time to turn on the backlight for 3 seconds.

Troubleshooting guide

Obs! Temperatursensorn och kabeln mellan termometern och sensorn blir mycket heta vid användning. Risk för brännskada.

Skötsel och underhåll

•Diska temperatursensorn och kabeln efter användning. Använd ett milt rengöringsmedel, aldrig lösningsmedel eller frätande kemikalier.

•Torka av termometern utvändigt med en fuktig trasa vid behov.

•Ta ut batterierna och förvara termometern utom räckhåll för barn om den inte ska användas under en längre period.

Användning

Batterier och val av temperaturenhet

1.Öppna batteriluckan på termometerns baksida och sätt i batterier (2 × AAA/LR03). Se märkningen i botten på batterihållaren så att polariteten blir rätt.

2.Välj temperaturenhet med reglaget ovanför batterihållaren.

Temperaturmätning

1. Stick in temperatursensorn i råvaran så att den sitter i den tjockaste delen.

2. Slå på termometern med [ ON/OFF ] (6).

3. Välj typ av råvara med [ MEAT/STOP ] (1). 4. Sätt in råvaran med temperatursensorn i ugnen.

Låt temperatursensorns kabel löpa ut mellan ungslucka och spis.

5.Placera termometern så att den inte riskerar att falla och att kabeln inte utgör ett hinder.

6.Termometern avger en ljudsignal och displayen blinkar när inställd färdigtemperatur uppnåtts.

Manuell inställning av färdigtemperatur

1.Håll in [ MODE ] i 3 sek tills temperaturen blinkar.

2.Tryck [ +MIN ] eller [ -SEC ] för att ställa in önskad temperatur.

3.Tryck [ MODE ] för att bekräfta inställningen.

4.Termometern avger en ljudsignal och displayen blinkar när inställd färdigtemperatur uppnåtts.

Timer/tidtagning

Timer

1.Tryck [ MODE ] för att välja timer-/tidtagningsfunktion.

2.Tryck [ +MIN ] och [ -SEC ] för att ställa in önskad tid.

3.Tryck [ TASTE/START ] för att starta timern.

4.När inställd tid räknats ner avger termometern en ljudsignal och displayen blinkar.

5.Du kan när som helst avbryta timern genom att trycka [ MEAT/STOP ].

6.Tryck [ +MIN ] och [ -SEC ] samtidigt för att nollställa.

Tidtagning

1.Tryck [ MODE ] för att välja timer-/tidtagningsfunktion.

2.Tryck [ TASTE/START ] för att starta tidtagningen.

3.Du kan när som helst avbryta tidtagningen genom att trycka [ MEAT/STOP ].

4.Tryck [ +MIN ] och [ -SEC ] samtidigt för att nollställa.

Displaybelysning

Tryck när som helst in någon av termometerns knappar för att tända bakgrundsbelysningen i 3 sek.

Felsökningsschema
