Safety
• Make sure that the voltage used is suitable for the appliance. Refer to the rating plate.
• This product information should be read carefully before the product is used.
• Never use the appliance for anything other than the use for which it is intended.
• To avoid electric shock, protect the appliance and its power lead from moisture or liquids.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before assembling or cleaning.
• Never let children use the appliance without adult supervision.
• Never lay the power lead over hot surfaces or pull it round sharp edges or corners.
• The power lead must be changed if damaged. This is to prevent the risk of electric shock or fire and should only be carried out by the manufacturer, qualified service facility or qualified technician.
• Use only replacement parts that are approved by the supplier.
• Before putting any potatoes into the peeler, first make sure that the power switch is set to OFF.
• Do not fill the peeler with more than 1 kg of potatoes at a time and do not run the peeler for longer than 4 minutes at a time.
• Make sure that the parts of the appliance are correctly assembled and that the appliance is switched off before connecting to the power supply.
• The potato peeler blade is extremely sharp. Handle with care.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Never use the appliance in the vicinity of heat sources e.g. the cooker.
• Never put your hand or other unsuitable object into the appliance when it is in use.
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from physical or mental impairment. This product should not be used by anyone without sufficient experience or knowledge if they have not been instructed in its use by someone who will take responsibility for their safety.

Getting started
1. Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the blade and bowl in warm water.
2. Connect the lead to the wall socket.
3. Make sure that the surface under the potato peeler is clean and dry. Stand the potato peeler on the rubber feet and make sure that it is stable and will not move around during use.
4. Attach the bowl securely to the main unit and then fit the blade onto the holder.
Use
1. Make sure that the power switch is set to OFF and that all parts are properly attached. Make sure that the bowl (3) is secured to the main unit (5).
2. Pour 2–3 glasses of water into the bowl. Load the peeler with enough potatoes to cover the blade but never more than 1 kg. Put the lid on the bowl and lock it down with the catches, otherwise the machine will not start.

3. Turn the peeler on using the power switch. The peeler will vibrate during use, but the rubber feet will hold it in place.
4. The potatoes should be peeled after about 2 minutes. Abnormally shaped potatoes might take a little longer to peel. Do not let the machine work for longer than 4 minutes at a time. You can follow the potatoes’ progress through the clear see-through lid.
5. When the potatoes are peeled, turn the power switch to OFF and unplug the peeler. Take off the lid and remove the potatoes.
6. Rinse the potatoes in water and remove any remaining peel manually.

Care and maintenance
1. The peeler must be washed with water (not washing-up liquid) after each use.
2. Always turn the peeler off at the power switch and unplug it before cleaning.
3. Make sure that neither the mains lead nor the main unit come into contact with water.

4. Dry all the parts with a dry cloth before putting the peeler away for storage.
5. Never use abrasive cleaning agents.
