Lifetime Traffi c
The 8000 PRO HD includes live and predictive traf c, which helps optimize routes and avoid costly delays. Traf c setting s are controlled using the Traf c Tab on the map page. There are two types of traf c data:
• Live Traf c is real-time traf c  ow and incident data that is transmitted
over FM radio to your unit. Live Traf c information is available for major highways in most major cities. Toggling Live Traf c off will remove traf c display from the map and not account for traf c delays during route calculation.
Note: Live Traf c will only be displayed if your unit is plugged in using the included cigarette lighter adapter.
• Predictive Traf c is based off of historic traf c  ow in
an area. It can be used to show which roads are typically slow at your current time of the day. Predictive traf c information is not as timely as Live Traf c, but has signi cantly better coverage on smaller roads and in less populated areas. Predictive traf c will always be overridden if there is Live Traf c information in the same area. Please remember that Predictive Traf c is an indicator of historic traf c trends and does not re ect the actual traf c  ow in real-time.
