1. IMPORTANT NOTICE: DO NOT MODIFY THIS UNIT! This product, when installed as indicated in the instructions contained in this manual, meets FCC requirements. Modifications not expressly approved by CME may void your authority, granted by the FCC, to use the product.
2. IMPORTANT: When connecting this product to accessories and/or another product use only high quality shielded cables. Cable(s) supplied with this product MUST be used. Follow all installation instructions. Failure to follow instructions could void your FCC authorization to use this product in the USA.
3. NOTE: This product has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B Digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential environment. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used according to the instructions found in the users manual, may cause interference harmful to the operation of other electronic devices. Compliance with FCC regulations does not guarantee that interference will not occur in all installations. If this product is found to be the source of interference, which can be determined by turning the unit “OFF” and “ON”, please try to eliminate the problems by using one of the following measures:
Relocate either this product or the device that is being affected by the interference. Utilize power outlets that are on different branch (circuit breaker or fuse) circuits or install AC line filter(s). In the case of radio or TV interference, relocate/reorient the antenna. If the antenna lead-in is 300 ohm ribbon lead, change the lead-in to co-axial type cable. If these corrective measures do not produce satisfactory results, please contact the local retailer authorized to distribute this type of product. If you cannot locate the appropriate retailer, please contact CME.

U2MIDI Features:
z Cable-like USB MIDI interface providing 1 MIDI IN port and 1 MIDI OUT
port, USB 2.0 full speed transmission.
z Support multi U2MIDIs working simultaneously. z MIDI-to-USB plug-and-play, no driver required, USB class-compliant. z USB bus powered, with an indication LED.
System Requirements:
z PC with Windows XP / Vista. z Mac OS 9.0.4 or higher. z Computer with USB port.
How to use:
1. Please quit all MIDI-Sequencer software (like: Cakewalk, Sonar, Cubase, etc.) which is running on your computer before install the U2MIDI.
2. Plug U2MIDI’s USB connector to the USB port of the computer. You will see the LED display of U2MIDI is lit. The U2MIDI gets the power from the computer via USB bus.
3. After Hardware installation is done properly, your PC or MAC computer will automatically detect the U2MIDI and install the default system driver.
4. Plug U2MIDI’s MIDI IN connector to the MIDI OUT port of your MIDI equipment. And plug U2MIDI’s MIDI OUT connector to the MIDI IN port of your MIDI equipment.
5. Select “USB Audio Device” in the MIDI-Sequencer software as the MIDI device on PC.
6. Select “CME U2MIDI” in the MIDI & Audio Device Setup as the MIDI device on MAC.
7. The LED will be coruscating when the U2MIDI is transferring the MIDI Data via the MIDI IN/OUT port.
8. Other U2MIDIs can be plugged into the computer when you need more MIDI IN/OUT ports. The U2MIDIs will be named as “USB Audio Device [1]”, “USB Audio Device [2]”, “USB Audio Device [3]”, etc.
9. Close the MIDI-Sequencer software which is accessing the U2MIDIs. Find “USB Audio Device” in the Windows Device Manager, stop or uninstall it. Now you can unplug the U2MIDIs’ USB connectors from the computer.
