IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS & WARNINGS
1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
2. This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns,
do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If
provided,
use handles when moving this appliance.
Keep combustible materials, such as furniture,
pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at
least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of this appliance.
3. CAUTION: Whenever the heater is left operating
and unattended, extreme caution is necessary if
children or invalids are nearby.
4. If possible, always unplug this appliance when
not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or
plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or if it has
been dropped or damaged in any manner.
6. Any repairs to this fireplace should be carried out
by a qualified service person.
7. Under no circumstances should this fireplace
be modified. Parts having to be removed for
servicing must be replaced prior to operating
this fireplace again.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms,
laundry areas and similar indoor locations.
Never locate this appliance where it may fall into
a bathtub or other water container.
10. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do
not cover cord
with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord
away from traffic areas and where it will not be
tripped over.
11. To disconnect this appliance, turn controls to
the off position, then remove plug from outlet.
12. Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
13. This appliance, when installed, must be electrically
grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the
absence of local codes, with the current CSA C22.1
Canadian Electrical Code or for U.S.A. installations,
follow local codes and the National Electrical Code,
ANSI/NFPA NO. 70.
14. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause
an electric shock or fire, or damage the appliance.
15. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air
intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on
soft surfaces, like a bed, where opening may
become blocked.
16. This appliance has hot and arcing or sparking parts
inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint
or flammable liquids are used or stored. This fireplace
should not be used as a drying rack for clothing.
Christmas stockings or decorations should not be
hung in the area of
it.
17. Use this appliance only as described in the manual.
Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
18. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the
extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of
fire. However, if you have to use an extension cord,
the cord must be No. 14 AWG minimum size and
rated not less than 1875 Watts. The extension cord
must be a three wire cord with grounding type plug
and cord connection. The extension cord shall not be
more than 20 feet in length.

This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has
a plug as shown at A. An adapter as shown at C
is available for connecting three-blade grounding
type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The green groun-
ding plug extending from the adapter must be
connected to a permanent ground such as a properly
grounded outlet box. The adapter should not be used
if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available.
The following instructions and precautions should be followed when using this or any heating
appliance to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Position your completed Wood Mantel close to its
final location. Make sure you can access the back
of the Fireplace, as your Electric Fireplace Insert will
be installed from the back.
Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the
screws and the metal mounting brackets attached
on either side of the fireplaces center opening. Next
unpack the Electric Fireplace Insert carefully. Position
insert behind fireplace with front facing the wood
mantel. With the help of an adult assistant, lift the
Insert and gently slide it into the opening in the
mantel until the flange is flush against the inside of
the fireplace. Make sure insert is centered left and
right in the opening. Be careful when placing insert
and adjusting, bottom ofi nsert could scratch the finish
of the wood base/hearth of your fireplace. Re-attach
the mounting brackets
with the Phillips head screwdriver, and supplied
screws. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
PARTS LIST
With the help of an assistant, carefully lift completed
unit and place it with the front facing out in the final
location you have chosen for your fireplace. Make
sure to secure the electrical cord before lifting or
moving completed fireplace. When choosingafinal
location, make sure you will have clear access to a
grounded electrical outlet.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Cold climate installation
recommendation: When installing this
unit against a non-insulated exterior
wall or chase, it is mandatory that the
outer walls be insulated to conform to
applicable insulation codes.
A 15 AMP, 120 Volt, 60 Hz circuit with a properly
grounded outlet is required. Preferably, the fireplace
will be on a dedicated circuit as other appliances
on the same circuit may cause the circuit breaker
to trip or the fuse to blow when the heater is in
operation. The unit comes standard with 6’ (1828
mm) three wire cord, exiting from the rear of the
fireplace. Plan the installation to avoid the use of an
extension cord. If an extension cord must be used,
it must beaminimum 14 AWG, three wire with
grounding type plug connector and rated not less
than 1875 Watts. The cord shall not be more than
20 feet in length.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
When choosing a location for your new fireplace,
ensure that the general instructions are followed.
Also, for best effect, install the fireplace out of
direct sunlight.
MANTEL LOCATION
CLEARANCE TO COMBUSTIBLES
Keep electrical cords, drapery, furniture and other
combustibles at least 3 feet(0.9M) from the front of
the heater and away from the sides.
TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM SOLUTION
CLEANING TRIM
Clean the metal trim using a soft cloth, slightly
dampened with a citrus oil based product and buff
withaclean soft cloth. DO NOT use brass polish or
household cleaners as these products will damage the
metal trim. Citrus oil based products can be obtained
at supermarkets or hardware stores.
1a. Check that unit is plugged intoastandard
120V outlet.
2a. Turn on the main power button on the control
panel.
2b. Check to see if spinning motor is functioning.
If not, call customer service.
3a. Check that heater switch is in on position.
Heater indicator light should light up.
3b. Make certain that thermostat is set toward the
hi position.
4a. Check the heater button is on position and
thermostat is set towards the hi position.
4b. Check the heater indicator light is flickering or
not, if flickers, then turn all switches to the OFF
position and unplug the unit from the wall outlet
for5minutes. After 5 minutes plug the unit back
into wall outlet, and operate as normal.
2a. Open back of unit. Check to see if spinner is
correctly mounted at to the rear of unit.

If the protective clear plastic film covering the front of
the eclectic fireplace has not been removed, please
carefully remove it at this time.
1) Open the front glass doors.
2) Attached to each side of the inside walls
are the mesh curtains. Please use scissors
or wire cutters and carefully remove the zip
ties that are securing the curtains. Be careful
not to cut the mesh curtain while cutting the
zip ties.
3) The curtains are inside of plastic bags,
please remove these bags carefully as they
may have oil on the surface. This oil is
used in the manufacturing process to help
the curtains inhibit rust.
4) Inside the curtain bag on the left side is
a smaller bag which contains a box. This
box contains the remote control
transmitter.
5) Remove the remote control transmitter
from the box and install the included
batteries. Follow the instructions in the
following sections to operate the controls of
your electric fireplace.
CAUTION: Oil residue from the mesh curtains and the
packaging bags they are in can stain clothes, fabric
and carpet. Please take care when handling these
bags and dispose of them properly.

SECTION 4: OPERATION
TO ACCESS CONTROL PANEL- Open the front glass doors, then slide the mesh curtains to the sides. Lift the
hinged door that covers the control panel (figure 5).

CONTROL PANEL FUNCTIONS
- MAIN POWER
The MAIN POWER button supplies power to all of
the functions of the fireplace. This button must be
in the ON position for any of the functions to work
including the remote.
FLAME
The HEATER button will turn on/off the heater
output and regulate your room temperature.
There are six levels you can cycle through including
off setting.
HEAT
The FLAME button adjusts the flame brightness.
Each time the flame button is pressed, the intensity
of the flame decreases. There are six brightness levels
you can cycle through including the off setting.

The DOWNLIGHT button provides power to the
downlight that illuminates the top of the logs and
the inside of the firebox.
EFFECT
The EFFECT button will turn on the rolling effect of
flame, emberbed, logs and downlight in random way.
Meanwhile, can hear crackle and wind, can see the
sparks on the logs.

EMBERS
The 2 FLAME button controls the flame effect. Press
the “ ” button to increase the brightness of the flames.
Each time the “ ” button is pressed it will decrease the
intensity of the flames. There are 6 brightness
levels including the “OFF” position. Will turn off the
volume and sparks at the same time when FLAME is on
off position.
The Power button will put the insert in a standby
mode. This will turn off all functions at once but
will hold the settings in memory. By pressing the
button again the unit will turn on at the same settings.
This button will toggle rolling emberbed on/off.
SPARKS
HEAT
CRACKLE
This button will toggle the sparks on/off. The crackle
button must be switched on in order for SPARKS
function.
On/off button toggles the heat between the highest
setting and off.
VOLUME
Up and down controls for the six volume levels
including the off position.
This button is for crack sound controls and sounds
can cycle among three settings: crackle and wind
effets, crackle only, and sound off.
DOWNLIGHT
This button is only for 28EF024GRS and 33EF024GRS
inserts.There are three setting you can cycle through
including off, downlights on and shadow effect.

Remote Receiver Inside
Please notes the remote receiver is located on the upper
right corner of the unit (picture 8). Must be aimed at the

WARNING: Make sure the power is turned off before proceeding. Any electrical repairs
or rewiring of this unit should be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with
national and local codes.
WARNING: Electrical outlet wiring must comply with local building codes and other
applicable regulations to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons.
WARNING: Do not use this fireplace if any part of it has been under water. Immediately
call a qualified service technician to inspect the fireplace and replace any part of the
electrical system.
WARNING: Disconnect power before attempting any maintenance or cleaning to reduce
the risk of fire, electrical shock or personal injury.
The motors used on the fan and the flame generator assembly are pre-lubricated for extended
bearing life and require no further lubrication.
However, periodic cleaning/vacuuming of the
fan/heater unit is recommended. The louvers/vent
in the control door should be cleaned periodically,
both inside and out. When the control door is in
the open position the heater grill/screen should be
vacuumed. The area around the controls should
also be kept clean. Make sure the unit is turned
OFF and unplugged whenever you are cleaning
the heater or fireplace.
If repairing or replacing any electrical component or wiring, the original wire routing, color coding
and securing locations must be followed.

TEN YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (PLUG & PLAY ELECTRIC FIREPLACE)

Twin-Star International, Inc. (the “Company”) warrants
to the original purchaser of a new ClassicFlame Plug
& Play Electric Fireplace (the “Fireplace”) is free from
manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
for a period of ten (10) years from the date of original
retail purchase from a qualified/authorized Twin-Star
dealer, subject to the following terms, conditions and
limitations. This warranty is for the USA and Canada
only.
I. What this limited warranty covers and for
how long
The Company warrants Fireplace components, other
than fireplace surrounds (mantels) to be free from
defects in material and workmanship for a period
of ten (10) years from the date of the original retail
purchase, as follows: (a) repair or replacement of
defective products or parts (including in-home services)
for the first one (1) year following the date of original
retail purchase, as described in Part IV below;
and (b) thereafter, replacement of defective products
or parts (with no in-home services) for the remainder
of the ten (10) year warranty term, as described in
Part IV below.
The Company warrants Fireplace surrounds (mantels)
covered by this limited warranty to be free from defects
in material and workmanship for a period of one (1)
year from the date of original retail purchase of such
products, as follows: replacement of defective products
or parts (with no in-home services) as further described in
Part IV below.
II. What this limited warranty does not cover
This limited warranty does not apply to damages are
covered by this limited warranty. This limited warranty
applies only to the original purchaser of the Fireplace
from a qualified/authorized Twin-Star dealer in the
USA or Canada, and is not transferable.
(a) replacement of Fireplace light bulbs,
(b) Fireplace components that have been repaired
(except by the Company or its authorized service
representatives) or otherwise altered or modified,
(c) damage, malfunction or defects resulting from
shipping or transit, misuse, abuse, accident, neglect,
incorrect installation, improper maintenance or
handling, or operation with an incorrect power source,
(d) damage from fire, water, lightning, power surges,
abnormal environmental conditions or other acts of
nature, and
(e) normal wear and tear.
The Company reserves the right to assess all warranty
claims and to determine if the claimed defects or damages
are covered by this limited warranty. This limited warranty
applies only to the original purchaser of the Fireplace from
a qualified/authorized Twin-Star dealer in the USA or
Canada, and is not transferable.
III. What you must do to get service under this
limited warranty
For warranty service, please contact the Company by phone
at 1-866-661-1218, or by mail at 115 SE 4th Avenue,
Delray Beach, FL 33483, USA. Please have proof of
purchase, catalogue/model, manufacturer’s date code and
serial numbers available when calling. Proof of purchase
showing the original purchase date and location is required
to obtain warranty service.
IV. What the Company will do in the event of
a covered warranty claim
In the event a Fireplace component covered by this limited
warranty is proven to be defective in material or
workmanship during the applicable warranty period, then
the Company will provide warranty service in accordance
with the following:
• For valid warranty claims on Fireplace components, other
than fireplace surrounds (mantels), made prior to the first
anniversary of the date of original retail purchase, the
Company will elect in its sole discretion to either repair or
replace the covered defective product or part without
charge. If the Company is unable to repair or replace the
covered defective product or part, or if repair or
replacement is not commercially practicable or cannot be
timely made, the Company may elect in its sole discretion,
in lieu of repair or replacement, to refund the purchase
price for the defective product or part. Warranty services
under this paragraph include any applicable on-site or
in-home warranty services, and the Company will be
responsible for all labor and transportation costs
associated with the repair or replacement of the defective
product or part, except as follows: (i) you will be charged
for reasonable transportation costs incurred for travel to
and from the site where the defective product is located if
the distance to such locations is more than thirty (30) miles
(48 km) from the Company’s closest authorized service
agent or dealer; and (ii) you are solely responsible for
providing clear access to all serviceable parts of the
defective product, and you will be charged at the
Company’s customary rates for delays resulting from failure
to provide such clear access and/or any additional services
provided by the Company to provide such clear access.
