Engineered to Withstand Water and Salt

Water is a marine source unit’s world enemy, and salt can be a nightmare. Our CMV1/CMD6 source units have been IPX5 tested and certified to offer the highest water intrusion protection and salt resistance. Rubber gaskets stop water in its tracks, with integrated drainage channels to keep water out.

Stainless Steel for Toughness on the Inside

Should any water get behind the panel, the stainless steel chassis, along with an integrated drip shield over the main harness connector, helps protect internal circuitry from the effects of moisture, corrosion and mildew.

Direct USB iPod Control and USB Audio Streaming

Get away from it all, but stay in touch with your music. Just connect your iPod’s USB cable to CMD6’s rear USB input and you get complete key control of your iPod including genre/album/song title search and also you can use iPod’s control wheel (simple control mode). The same connection can also be used to play back audio files stored on USB memory, compatible with WMDRM10 protected file support.

When you set sail for your next cruise, you’ll probably want to keep enjoying your favorite tunes. With your iPod connected to CMS1’s rear iPod input (Optional CCUIPOD1 required), you get control of most of your iPod’s functions with audio heard through your on-board speaker system. With CMS1, your musical enjoyment is seamless.

USB for MP3/WMA Playback

The USB slot on the black box unit accommodates playback of MP3 files you’ve ripped from CDs and stored on a USB Memory or portable USB MP3/WMA player. (Sold separately.)

Sirius SSP Ready

You can hook-up a Sirius Satellite Radio receiver to the exclusive Sirius interface on the back of the unit. Or, if you have a portable Sat Radio, you can listen to it through the AUX input.
