THE 5.3L ECOTEC3 V8 ENGINE.

Building on a legendary small block
heritage, our 5.3L V8 engine generates
355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of
torque. It also uses three fuel-saving
technologies — Direct Injection, Active
Fuel Management™ and Continuously
Variable Valve Timing.

HYDROFORMED FRAME. Silverado LD

uses a boxed frame comprised of both
hydroformed and high-strength steel
components. Many of the cross members
are through-frame welded for lateral
support. This stiff frame combines with
shear-style and hydraulic body mounts
so you can ride in comfort while hauling,
towing and tackling rugged terrain.

A STRONG BED AND BOX. Demonstrations

by Chevrolet have shown aluminum beds
are more susceptible to puncture than
the Silverado LD high-strength steel bed.
Our bed is stronger, lighter and more
durable than a traditional stamped steel
bed. For easy access to the box, you’ll
find pocket hand grips built into the top
of the side rails as well as a CornerStep

Silverado LD, this feature incorporates
dynamic guiding lines that show
where the vehicle will track, providing
confidence when hitching up a trailer.

2. TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER. Utilize

your trailer brakes with an available
integrated trailer brake controller. The
level of brake force or “gain” is displayed
in the Driver Information Center. The
brake controller seamlessly integrates
with your trailer brakes during normal

braking and with Trailer Sway Control.

3. SPRAY-ON BEDLINER. When you

need a thick layer of durable protection
between your bed and cargo, this
available bedliner does the job. The
tailgate is also covered to help protect
its surface.
