To ensure that your new Cerwin-Vega Mobile speakers provide
years of enjoyment you should consider having them installed by
a professionally trained technician. They have the knowledge to
make your new speakers perform their very best.
Prolonged exposure to sound pressure levels in excess of 100dB
can cause permanent hearing loss. Cerwin-Vega Mobile speakers
can exceed that level, so please exercise restraint when listening
and enjoy your new speakers for years to come.

RECONE INSTRUCTIONS
All Cerwin-Vega Mobile Stroker series woofers have been designed to be eld
serviceable. This new design provides a fast and simple way to rebuild woofers
in the eld using only the provided allen tool.
BEFORE YOU START
1.
Make sure your work area is clean and free from any dirt or metal particles.
Stroker woofers can attract metal particles from a few feet away. Metal par-
ticles in the voice coil gap permanently damage the speaker and will void
any warranty. If the woofer is going to be left disassembled for any length of
time we recommend covering the voice coil gap with plastic wrap until it is
time to rebuild the woofer

We recommend that you use BLUE Loctite thread lock 242 on all Stroker
hardware.
RECONE STEPS
1.
Using the provided allen tool, remove the six allen bolts attaching the cone
assembly to the magnet. Please see illustration below.

Carefully lift the cone assembly off of the magnet. Please see illlustration
below.

Make sure that the voice coil gap is clean. If the prior voice coil was melted
or damaged any remaining material must be removed prior to installing the
new cone assembly.

Align the cone assembly terminals with the Cerwin-Vega Mobile logo on the
magnet boot and very carefully lower the cone assembly down into the voice
coil gap of the magnet. Special care must be taken not to scratch or damage
the voice coil. The assembly should slide into place with no friction between
the cone assembly and the magnet.

Align the screw holes in the cone assembly with the screw holes in the mag-
net and gently hand tighten all six allen screws. Please see illustration be-
low

Using the provided allen tool, tighten the six allen bolts attaching the cone
assembly to the magnet in the order shown below. Do not over tighten.

Carefully move the woofer cone in and out, checking for any obvious rubs.

Be careful to apply even pressure. It is easy to apply to much pressure on one
side of the cone and cause a rub. If there is an obvious rub go back to the
beginning and start again.

Warranty
Cerwin-Vega Mobile warrants all speakers to be free of defects in material or workmanship
for a period of 1 year.
Warranty Procedure:
Cerwin-Vega Mobile strongly suggests all warranty claims should be handled through
an authorized dealer. Because of the technical nature of our products, performance
problems can often be the result of improper usage or installation. An authorized
retailer can help determine if this is the case and will save you the time of returning
an item that is not actually defective.
For all STROKER subwoofer models the cone is to be removed from the magnet.
All returns must have the serial number taped to the cone. The serial number can be found
on the basket and underneath the spider attached to the top of the magnet plate.
Please remove the sticker and tape it to the cone. This process will save everyone on
shipping costs and allow us to check and replace speakers much faster.
