
Quick Reference Guide
The laser imager’s display screen shows status and error information.
NOTE: This example screen shows the location of each symbol. When operating, the
imager displays different combinations of these codes and symbols to communicate
the status. For more information, see the User Manual.
Description Normal

Film count On Displays the film count for upper/lower film cartridges. When 0 displays, replace the
Indicator light On/green Green—Indicates the active film cartridge, for example, when printing.
Power On/green Green—Ready to print. The symbol flashes during printing.

Film size Off If on, the print job requires a different film size and/or type than the currently loaded

Pause Off If the symbol is on, the film cartridge cover is open. To avoid exposing the film to light,
Restart Off If the symbol is on, you must restart. Press the imager’s power switch off, and then
Film jam Off If the symbol is on, film is jammed. Check the error code to locate the jam and

If a print job requires a different film size and/or type from the loaded films, the
requested size and type displays along with the Film size symbol (see below). For
mammography film, an M displays in front of the film size, B indicates the blue base
film, and C indicates clear base film. Load the requested film size and type.

Amber—There was an issue with the calibration. Press the Calibrate symbol to
manually calibrate. Depending on the issue, you may be able to keep printing (631 or
632 error), or it might be necessary to load a different film cartridge (624 error).
To make a test print, press the Calibrate symbol for three seconds until the imager
beeps twice. The test print varies depending on the type of film.

Correcting Film Jams
Removing the Left Cover (Figure 1)
1. Open the film
supply door.
2. Remove the top
cover.
3. Turn the knurled
knobs by hand

Code 302/Jam in Area 1
1. Remove the top and left covers. See Figure 1.
2. Check for jammed film: remove the cartridge and check for film. If the
jammed film is not loose, turn the exposure transport (6) and vertical
transport (7) knobs clockwise to remove the film from the rollers.
3. If you have not found the jammed film, take the cartridge to a dark
room and carefully open the cover. Remove any misplaced film, then
close and reinsert the cartridge.
4. Reinstall/close the covers.
Code 116/Jam in Area 1 OR Code 323/Jam in Area 2
1. Open the film supply door and remove the film cartridge.
2. Remove any film from Area 1 (upper or lower).
3. Reinsert the film cartridge and close the film supply door, OR if you
have not found the jammed film, continue with the next step.
4. Remove the top and left covers. See Figure 1. Check for jammed film.
5. If you have not found the jammed film:
• 116—Take the cartridge to a dark room and carefully open the
cover. Remove any misplaced film, then close the cartridge.
• 323—If the film cartridge is not fully closed, manually close the
cartridge using the rollback knobs (8), carefully turning counterclockwise. Remove any misplaced film. If the jammed film is not
loose, turn the exposure transport (6) and vertical transport (7)
knobs clockwise to remove the film from the rollers.
6. Reinsert the cartridge, and reinstall/close the covers.

1. Remove the top and left covers. See Figure 1.
• 325—Remove any film from Area 2.
• 326—Rotate the processor drum (5) and the exit roller (4) knobs
clockwise until a film exits. If a film does not exit, remove any film
from Area 2.
2. If the film is not loose, turn the exposure transport (6) and vertical
transport (7) knobs clockwise to remove the film from the rollers.
3. Reinstall/close the covers.
Code 543, 544/Jam in Area 3
1. Remove any film from the exit tray.
2. Remove the top cover and remove any film.
3. If you have not found the jammed film, remove the left cover. See
Figure 1.
4. Rotate the exit roller knob (4) clockwise until a film exits.
5. Pivot the heat shield open and check for jammed film in the processor
drum area. If necessary, carefully rotate the processor drum knob (5)
clockwise and remove any film.
6. Reinstall/close the covers.
