Note: These three buttons do not affect AM band reproduction.
Press for monaural sound. Useful for reducing excessive background noise from stereo programs or for making single channel sources play through all three speakers.
Press for “Wide” sound from FM, CD or AUX. This mode makes some stereo programs expand beyond the width of the radio.
The display will increase through:
d10 – turn off after 10 minutes. d20 – turn off after 20 minutes.
up to
d90 – turn off after 90 minutes. d99 – turn off after 100 minutes.
Press desired preset briefly to select desired station. Store 6 FM and 6 AM stations. Press and hold 2 seconds to store selected station. The sound will be mute and then return. Preset number will appear on right side of display
Press to turn off the Model 88.

Press and hold, then release at desired time to engage delayed turn-off sleep mode.

Press to decrease volume.
TUNING UP
Press and hold to tune up the frequency range. Press briefly to tune up in small increments.
TUNING DOWN
Press and hold to tune down the frequency range. Press briefly to tune down in small increments.
Press for stereo sound from FM, CD or AUX.
STEREO WIDE
MONO
Press to select the FM band. Press to select the AM band. Press to select the program source connected to the CD input. Press to select the program source connected to the AUX input.

Use this input to operate the Model 88 from a DC power supply.

3.5mm Stereo Minijack
To improve FM reception, insert the exposed end of the supplied wire antenna into the center of this “F” connector. Adjust the wire vertically or horizontally for best reception. An outdoor antennas 75-ohm coaxial cable may also be attached to this connector.
Connect a stereo audio source (like a CD player or a TV) to either of these two stereo inputs. They differ only in type of connector.
You may adjust this control for more or less bass output.

Adjust the volume by pressing Up (L) or Down (M) on the radio or the remote control.
Plug the AC Cord into an AC outlet.

Turn on the Model 88 Radio by pressing the ON button on the radio or the power (•) button on the Remote Control.

Select FM.

Press the AM button. Repeat the procedure for up to six AM station presets.
Press and hold a preset for approximately two seconds. The sound will mute and then return. When stored, the preset number will appear on the display.
