Warranty Registration

Califone warrants this product to be free from defective material and workmanship

for one year from the purchase date. Our “Project Intercept” Customer
Satisfaction program will replace defective parts and repair malfunctioning
equipment under this warranty when the defect occurs under normal use.

All Damage Claims Must Be Made With The Freight Carrier

Notify the freight carrier immediately if you observe any damage to the shipping
carton or product. Repack the unit in the carton and await inspection by the
carrier’s claim agent. Notify your dealer of the pending freight claim.

Returning Your Unit for Service or Repairs

Should your unit require service, contact our Customer Service Department
online at califone.com/techsupport or via email [e-mail] or
by phone at 800-722-0500 / 818-407-2400 to rst obtain an RA number before
returning it back to Califone. The unit must be returned to our factory via
prepaid transportation only after the factory issues an RA (Return Authorization)
number which must be clearly written on the outside of the box.

Use:

1. Extend headband to the maximum “open” position and place the cups over the

ears with the headband passing over the head.

2. Settle the headband in position on the head while adjusting the height of the
ear cups until they feel comfortable and the headband rests on the head to

support the mus.

3. The ear cushions should t snugly against the head.

4. Adjust the headband & ear cups to ensure an eective noise seal.

Warnings:

• This earmu is an M (normal) size over-the-head hearing protector complying with
EN352-1. It will t the majority of wearers. The earmu must be regularly checked for
serviceability. Put the earmus on before exposing to noise, and wear them during

the whole noise exposure. Failure to adhere to these recommendations will cause the

protection aorded by the earmus severely impaired.

• This product may be adversely aected by certain chemical substances. Further
information should be sought from the manufacturer. Ear mus, and in particular

cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for
cracking and air leakage.

• The tting of hygiene covers to the cushions can aect the acoustic performance of

the hearing protectors.

Care Instructions:

Clean with warm soapy water; do not use organic solvents for cleaning. The hearing
protector may also be disinfected with alcohol. When not in use, it is recommended

to store the earmu in a clean and dry location.

annex VI by means of the European Standard EN352-1: 2002 “Hearing Protector Safety
requirement and testing – Part 1: Earmu”

Note about Safe Listening Practices

Califone is proud to collaborate with the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association (ASHA) to promote the safe use of personal audio products in the
classroom. ASHA recommends the use of these two guidelines to help students

use audio technology responsibly:

• Lower the volume

• Limit listening time

Califone also recommends using ambient noise reducing headphones or upgrading to
its active noise canceling headphone when listening to personal audio devices.
