1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Cables To Go 20GB USB 2.0 FlyDrive – the future in mobile
data storage. The Cables To Go 20GB USB 2.0 FlyDrive is a removable storage device
that simply plugs into your computer’s USB port. The drive also supports file & disk
compression tools like Windows DriveSpace®, Zip®, etc. The Cables To Go 20GB USB 2.0
FlyDrive does not require any battery or external power source as it draws its power from
the USB bus. When used with the latest versions of the Windows®, Linux®, and Mac®
operating systems, it does not require any additional software as support is built into these
operating systems.

When plugged in, the Cables To Go 20GB USB 2.0 FlyDrive appears in your file drive
browser as another physical drive allowing you to read, write, copy, delete and drag-and­drop data to and from other drives on your computer. This palm-sized drive is so compact
that it is easily transported from location to location.

Carefully unpack and remove the contents. If any of the following items are missing or
damaged, contact Cables To Go for a replacement item.

1.2 Minimum System Requirements

• Windows® 98/98SE/Me/2000/XP

• Linux® 2.4.x or above

• MAC® OS 9 or above

• Available USB port (use an USB 2.0 port whenever possible as it is 40x faster

than a USB 1.1 port)

Please note that the drive cable offers two USB type-A male connectors. Some USB ports
doe not provide the full 500mA as per USB specifications. In these instances, simply plug
both connectors into two USB ports to ensure proper power.
