1. Do not transmit more than 50% of time. It is important, as the radio generates measurable RF energy exposure only when transmitting.
2. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
3. Radio frequency signals transmitted may cause interference to hearing aids.
4. Turn off the radio when near medical equipment.
5. This product should not be used by people with pacemakers.
6. Do not use the radio when driving a vehicle or operating machinery.
7. Do not use the radio when on board aircraft.
8. Do not hold the antenna when transmitting.
9. Do not use the radio when the antenna has been damaged.
10. Turn off the radio and remove the batteries if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
TWO-WAY RADIO OPERATION
This device was tested for typical body-worn operations using the supplied belt-clip. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, body-worn operations
are restricted to the supplied belt-clip. For hand-held operation, the radio should be
held at least 1 inch (2.5cm) from the user’s face. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. For more information about RF exposure, please visit the FCC web site at www.fcc.gov.

1. Never dispose of batteries in a fire. There is a serious risk of explosion and/or the release of highly toxic chemicals.
2. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, extreme cold or place it near heating appliances.
3. Do not submerge any part of the product in water and do not use it in damp, humid or wet conditions.
4. Do not expose the product to fire, explosive or other hazardous conditions. For example, at petrol stations or areas where explosive products are used.
danGeR
To reduce the risk of electric shock, burns, fire or injury:
1. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
2. Do not place or store unit where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
3. Do not place in, drop or submerge in water or other liquid.
4. Do not reach for unit that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
5. Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled onto the unit.
WaRnInG
1. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance/product is used by or near children or mentally disabled individuals.
2. Use this unit only for its intended use as described in this manual.

3. Unplug this unit during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
4. Never drop or insert an object into any opening.
5. Protect the adapter cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plug outlets, convenience receptacles and the point where it exits the base.
6. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces. Wrap cord loosely around the
base when storing.
7. The unit should be situated away from direct sunlight or heat sources such as radiators, electric heaters, heat registers, stoves, or other units (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Avoid placing on top of stereo equipment that radiates heat.
8. Never block the air openings of the unit with materials such as clothing, plastic bags or papers, or place it on a soft surface such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked.
9. Do not overload electrical outlet. Use only the power source as indicated.
10. Never use the base to recharge the units if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. If the base’s adapter cord or plug is damaged, do not attempt to
fix it yourself.
11. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair
the unit. Incorrect repair can cause risk of electric shock or injury to persons when unit is used.
12. Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
13. Never remove the adapter from the socket by pulling the cord.

Your walkie-talkies operate on General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) frequencies
and are subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC). The FCC requires that all operators using GMRS frequencies
obtain a radio license before operating their equipment. To obtain the FCC forms,
please request Form 605 and 159, which includes all of the forms and instructions you will need.
To reach the FCC Fax-on-Demand system, dial 1-202-418-0177. For mail service,
call the FCC Forms hotline at 1-800-418-FORM (3676). If you have questions about the FCC license call the FCC at 1-888-CALL-FCC (225-5322). You may also visit the FCC’s website at www.fcc.gov.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer may void the user’s authority granted by the FCC to operate these radios and should not be made.
To comply with FCC requirements, transmitter adjustments should be made only
by or under the supervision of a person certified as technically qualified to perform transmitter maintenance and repairs in the private land mobile and fixed services as certified by an organization representative of the user of those services. Replacement of any transmitter component (crystal, semiconductor, etc.) not authorized by the FCC equipment authorization for this radio could violate FCC rules.
Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could damage the transmitter and may violate FCC regulations.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
Digital Device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the distance between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from that
to which the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This equipment complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject
to the following two conditions:
1. This equipment may not cause harmful interference.
2. This equipment must accept any interference received, including interference
that may cause undesired operation.
Modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void the user’s authority to operate this device.

RADIO CODES
CTCSS1/CDCSS2 codes: In order to communicate using the walkie-talkies, they also must be set to the same CTCSS/CDCSS code.
There are 38 analog (CTCSS 1 − 38) and 83 digital (CDCSS 39 − 121) codes
available per channel. The voice communication is only transferred to the receiving device’s loudspeaker when the channel and the code that it is set on is identical to that received.
Note: If there is someone other than yourself and the person you are directly communicating with using the same channel and code and interfering with
your transmissions, both you an the person you are communicating with need
to switch to a free matching channel.
To choose a code, press the button twice, scroll through the channels using
