IMPORTANT SAFETY I NSTR UCTIONS
All of the safety and operating instructions should be read, adhered to and followed before the unit is operated.
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
Read all instructions before using (this unit). DANGER - To reduce the risk of electric shock:
• Always unplug this unit from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.
WARNING - To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons:
1. The unit should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before putting on or taking off parts.
2. Do not operate under blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
3. Close supervision is necessary when this unit is used by, on, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons.
4. Use this unit only for its intended use as described in this instruction manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by Brookstone.
5. Never operate this unit if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has been dropped into water. Return the unit to a service center for examination and repair.
6. Do not carry this unit by supply cord or use cord as a handle.
7. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
8. Never operate the unit with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair and the like.

9. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
10. Do not use outdoors.
11. Do not operate where aerosol spray products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
12. To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove plug from outlet.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
ISSUE
The unit stops during operation.
POSSIBLE CAUSE/RESOLUTION
The 20-minute auto shutoff is engaged. Restart massager using power button.
CAUTION
Consult your physician before use if you:
• Have a serious medical condition such as osteoporosis, skin diseases, heart disease, etc.
• Have an electronic medical device in your body, such as a pacemaker.
• May be pregnant.
• Are receiving medical care or are feeling unwell.
• Wish to use the unit on parts of the body which have previously been treated due to injury or sickness, or have eczema.
• Are experiencing undue pain on any part of your body.
• Have joint dysfunction such as rheumatism, hammer toe and gout.

The unit does not start.
The thermal resetting protection device is engaged. This is an added safety feature to protect the unit from overheating. If the unit stops and fails to restart as a result of overheating, turn the main power off and do not operate the unit for at least 30 minutes. Failure to turn off the unit may cause it to resume operation unexpectedly when the device is cooled.
The main power switch or the power button on the control panel was pressed accidentally.
Ensure the power cord is connected to a properly working electrical outlet.

DANGER
1. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
2. Do not place or store unit where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
3. Do not place in, drop or submerge in water or other liquid.
4. Do not reach for unit that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
5. Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled onto the unit.
6. Never use pins or other metallic fasteners with this unit.
7. Carefully examine the covering before each use. Discard the unit if the covering shows any sign of deterioration, such as checking, blistering, or cracking.
8. Keep Dry - Do not operate in a wet or moist condition.
WARNING
1. Close supervision is necessary when this unit is used by or near children or mentally disabled individuals.
2. Use this unit only for its intended use as described in this manual.
3. Unplug this unit during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
4. Never drop or insert an object into any opening of this device.
5. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plug outlets, convenience receptacles and the point where it exits the unit.
6. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Wrap power cord loosely around the unit when storing.
7. Do not stand up in the unit. Use only while seated.

8. The unit should be situated away from direct sunlight or heat sources such as radiators, electric heaters, heat registers, stoves or other units (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Avoid placing on top of stereo equipment that radiates heat.
9. Never block the air openings of the unit with materials such as clothing, plastic bags or papers, or place it on a soft surface such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked.
10. Do not overload the electrical outlet. Use your power source as instructed.
11. Do not carry this unit by its power cord or use the power cord as a handle.
12. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair the unit. Incorrect repair can cause risk of electric shock or injury to persons when unit is used.
13. Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
14. Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling the power cord.
15. Do not use in an excessively humid environment, such as the bathroom.
16. Do not use on a wet body. This may result in a short circuit or cause electric shock.
17. Do not use if the fabric covers are torn or if parts are missing.
18. Do not exert pressure when using the unit. This may result in injury.
19. Do not unplug or turn off the unit during use.
20. Do not sleep while using the unit.
21. The suggested usage time is 20 minutes.
22. Turn the unit off and unplug it immediately if:
• liquid is spilled on it.
• you feel severe abnormal pain.
• you detect any malfunction or any other abnormal condition.
• there is a power failure or lightning.
PRODUCT CARE AND STORAGE
• The outer cover can be unzipped and washed.
• Turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
• Do not use volatile liquids such as benzene, thinner or gasoline for cleaning.
• Clean the main unit with a damp cloth or a neutral cleanser and then wipe with a dry cloth.
• Unzip the top layer of fabric cover from the unit and machine wash. Tumble dry on low. IMPORTANT: keep the inner fabric cover drying before reattaching top layer to the main unit.
• Do not machine wash the inner fabric cover.
• If you don’t use the unit for an extended time, roll up the power cord and keep the unit away from environments where it’s humid and dusty.
• Do not expose the unit to heaters and direct sunlight.

PREPARATION BEFORE USING POWER ON/OFF
1. Plug the power cord into a 120V power source.
2. Turn the power switch (located at the rear corner above the main power cord) to ON.
3. Press power button on the control panel to turn the unit on.
4. Press power button again to turn the unit off.
USING THE MASSAGER
1. Rotate the adjustable kick stand to adjust the angle of the foot massager.
2. Rotate the thigh rest away from the foot/calf rest at any angle up to 90 degrees. Excess force may damage the unit.
3. Select and combine the following massage programs according to your preference: THIGH, FOOT/CALF and ROLLING.
4. During operation, you can adjust the thigh/foot/calf squeeze massage by selecting the INTENSITY button. Adjust the thigh heating function by selecting the HEAT button. Adjust the foot massage by selecting the VIBRATION button.
5. After the massage, the air compression chambers will deflate.
6. Unplug power cord from the electrical outlet when the unit is not in use. Note: The unit shuts off automatically after approximately 20 minutes.
23. Do not use the unit if the electrical outlet is excessively loose.
24. You may experience itching on your feet during and after the massage. This is normal and is a result of improved blood circulation.
25. Any individual who is pregnant, has a pacemaker, suffers from diabetes, phlebitis, and/or thrombosis, is at an increased risk of developing blood clots due to recent surgery, or who has pins/screws or anything mechanical in their ankles or feet, should consult his/her physician before using a massaging device designed for home use.
26. Do not use massager in close proximity to loose clothing or jewelry.
27. Keep long hair away from massager while in use.
28. Do not stand or sit on the massager. Use only while seated.
29. This is designed for home use and not commercial purposes.
30. Do not use in warm temperature.
31. Household use only.
32. Burns will result from improper use.
33. Read instructions before using.
34. Do not wet, do not use pins.
35. Never remove cover.
36. Temperatures sufficiently high to cause burns may occur regardless of the control setting. Do not use on an infant or invalid or on a sleeping or unconscious person. Do not use on insensitive skin or on a person with poor blood circulation. Check the skin in contact with the heated area of the appliance frequently to reduce the risk of blistering.
37. Do Not Crush - Avoid sharp folds.

IMPORTANT
This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to bypass this safety feature.
