Battery installation
Important: This unit comes with the batteries already installed. Remove the plastic tab from the battery compartment before first use.
1. Remove the BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER on the bottom of the unit.
2. Remove spent batteries and replace them with 2 AG13 button cell batteries according to the polarity indicators inside the compartment.
3. Replace the BATTERY COMPARTMENT COVER securely.
to set the clock
1. Press the key to enter the TIME MODE.
2. Press the button that shows a city that has the same time zone as your current location.
3. Press SET 2 times to set your local time. The setting sequence is as follows: Second, Hour, Minute, Year, Month, Date. Press SET to cycle through each one.
4. The section to be set will flash. Press the UP or DOWN key to adjust the number.
5. Press = key in TIME SET mode to select 12 or 24 hour mode.
World tim e set
1. In the TI ME MODE press one of the 16 city keys to search other time zone’s current times.
2. Press the SET key to set this city’s time to be the local time.
3. Press
key to go back to the
local time.

1. Press key to enter ALARM MODE.
2. Press
key again to toggle
alarm on/off, indicated by the icon.
3. Press SET to set the alarm time, the setting sequence is as follows: Hour, Minute, Normal.
4. The number to be set will flash. Press the UP or DOWN key to adjust the number.
5. Press number keys 1 – 6 to choose an alarm song or 7 and 8 for beeping tones.
Battery PrecaUtions
• Dispose of the old batteries properly. Do not dispose of the old batteries in a fire.
• Do not leave the batteries where a child or pet could play with or swallow them. If the batteries are swallowed, contact a physician immediately.
• The batteries may explode if mistreated. Do not attempt to recharge or disassemble the batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries, or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.

Brookston e® warrants t his product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (“Warranty Period”). If a defect arises and a valid cl aim is recei ved w ithin the Warranty Period, at its option, Brook stone wil l either
1) repair the defect at no charge, usi ng new or refurbish ed re placement parts , or
2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or 3) provide a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original product. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part installed in accordance with instructions provided by Brookstone, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a product or par t is exchanged, a ny replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Brookstone’s property. When a store credit is given, the original product must be returned to Brookstone and becomes Brookstone’s property.
Obtaining Service: To obtain warranty service, call Brookstone Limite d Warranty Service at 1-800-292-9819. Please be prepared to describe the product that needs service and the nature of the problem. A purchase receipt is required. All repairs and replacements must be authorized in advance. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary. You are responsible for delivery and the cost of delivery of the product or any parts to the authorized service center for replacement, per our instructions.
Limits and Excl usions: Co verage unde r this Limited Warranty is limited to the United States of America, including the District of Columbia and the U.S . Territories of Guam, Pu erto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured for Brookstone that can be identified by the “Brookstone” trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them or their packaging. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-Brookstone products. Manufacturers or suppliers other than
Brookstone may provide their own warranties to the purchaser, but Brookstone, in so far as permitted by law, provides these products “as is.” This warranty does not apply to: a) damage caused by failure to follow instructions relating to product’s use or the installation of components; b) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, floods, earthquake or other external causes; c) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of Brookstone; d) accessories used in conjunction with a covered product; e) a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability; f) items intended to be periodically replaced by the purchaser during the normal life of the product including, without limitation, batteries or light bulbs; g) any product sold “as is” incl uding, wi thout lim itation, floor demonstration models and refurbished items; or h) a product that is used commercially or for a commercial purpose.

1. Press the TI MER key to enter COUNT DOWN TIM ER mode.
2. Press the SET key to set the count down number. The seconds will flash 00. The setting sequence is as follows: Second - Hour - Minute.
3. Press the U P or DOWN key to set seconds from 01 to 59.
4. Press SET and the hour will flash.
5. Press the U P or DOWN key to set hour from 01 to 99.
6. Press SET and the minutes will flash.
7. Press the UP or DOWN key to set
minutes 01 to 59.
Using the tim er
To begin the count down, press the TIM ER button.
To pause the countdown, press the TIME R button when the time is counting down. To begin the count down again, press the counter button again.
When the timer reaches 0 it will play a song. Press any button to shut off.
To reset the counter to (00-00 00), press the TI MER button to pause the count down, and press either the UP or DOWN button.

Press key at any mode to toggle the key tone beep on and off.

troUBleshooting
Problem: The buttons are malfunctioning and the LCD is showing strange graphics.
Solution: When new batteries are installed, it is possible that the buttons may not work correctly and the display may show irregular graphics. If this happens, press the reset button on the bottom of the unit by using a thin, pointed object to push the reset button.
