designed for use in the bathroom.
• Plug the charging unit (e) into an
electrical outlet and place the toothbrush handle (c) on the charging unit.
• The green charge indicator light (d)
fl ashes while the handle is being
charged. Once it is fully charged, the
green charge indicator light shines
continuously for 5 seconds and then
it turns off. A full charge takes at least
18 hours and enables approximately
one week of regular brushing (twice a
day, 2 minutes).
• The red charge indicator light (d)
starts blinking when the rechargeable
battery is low. It is now time to
recharge your toothbrush.
• For everyday use, the toothbrush
handle can be stored on the charging
unit to maintain it at full power.
Overcharging is impossible. However,
for environmental reasons, Oral-B
recommends to unplug the charger
until the next recharge is required.
12
• To maintain the maximum capacity of
the rechargeable battery, unplug the
charging unit and fully discharge the
handle by regular use at least every
6 months.
Specifications
Refer to the bottom of the charging unit
for voltage specifications.
Using your toothbrush
Attach one of the brush heads (1–3) to
the handle. They can be used with any
kind of toothpaste. To avoid splashing,
guide the brush head to your teeth
before switching the appliance on.
Brushing modes
Your toothbrush offers different
brushing modes to best meet your
individual needs:
«Clean» – Exceptional mouth

Outstanding Plaque Removal
For clean teeth and strong and healthy
gums, Oral-B Professional Care
gently cleans in areas where plaque
bacteria can collect. It provides for an
outstanding plaque removal even in
hard-to-reach areas and is gentle on
teeth and gums.
Brushing technique:
• Guide the brush head slowly from
tooth to tooth.
• Hold the brush head in place for a
few seconds before moving on to the
next tooth.
• Brush the gums as well as the teeth,
first the outsides, then the insides,
finally the chewing surfaces.
• Do not press too hard or scrub,
simply let the brush do all the work.
Pressure Sensor
For optimal brushing results Oral-B
Professional Care has a pressure
control feature to help you brush gently.
This helps protect your gums from
excessive brushing and makes your
toothbrush easy to operate. If too much
pressure is applied, the oscillating
movement of the brush head will
continue but the pulsation will stop. In
addition to feeling it, you can also hear
a different sound.

Professional Timer
A short stuttering sound at 30-second
intervals, which you can hear and
feel, reminds you to brush the four
quadrants of your mouth equally for
a thorough consistent clean.
2-Minute Timer
A long stuttering sound indicates when
the dentist recommended 2-minute
brushing time has been reached.
Both timers memorize the elapsed
brushing time, even when the handle
is briefly switched off during brushing.
Only when pausing longer than 30 sec.
the timer resets to the initial starting
point.
In the first days of using the toothbrush, your gums may bleed slightly. In
general, bleeding should stop after a
few days. Should it persist after two
weeks, please consult your dentist or
dental hygienist. If you have sensitive
teeth and gums, Oral-B recommends
using the «Sensitive» mode.
Individual brush heads
and accessories
The Oral-B Professional Care offers
you a variety of brush heads and
accessories, allowing you to select
those which best meet your individual
needs. They are all designed for daily
use:
1 Oral-B Precision Clean brush head
The Oral-B Precision Clean brush head
features outstanding oscillatingrotating action to effectively clean your
teeth, clean along the gumline and in
hard-to-reach areas such as behind
teeth. The compact round brush head
surrounds each tooth for a thorough
clean. The green Precision Clean bristles bend, enabling both gentle brushing
and deep reach of the blue Interdental
Tips between teeth. Apply the brushing
technique as described in the section
«Outstanding Plaque Removal».
2 Oral-B Sensitive brush head
(not with all models)
The Oral-B Sensitive brush head
provides thorough cleaning for
sensitive teeth and gums. It has an
extra soft bristle texture that is gentle
on teeth and gums. Apply the same
brushing technique as described in the
section «Outstanding Plaque Removal».
15
3 Oral-B Pro White brush head
(not with all models)
The Oral-B Pro White brush head is
specifically designed to polish and
naturally whiten your teeth by removing
stains that can come from coffee, tea
and tobacco. It features the oscillatingrotating head action of the Oral-B
Precision Clean brush head to
effectively clean teeth, combined with
the special polishing cup for natural
brightening. Apply the same brushing
technique as described in the section
«Outstanding Plaque Removal».
We do not recommend using the
Oral-B Pro White brush head with
braces. Children under 12 should not
use the Oral-B Pro White brush head.
All three brush heads feature blue
INDICATOR
®
bristles to help you
monitor brush head replacement need.
With thorough brushing, twice a day
for two minutes, the blue color will fade
halfway approximately within 3 months,
signaling it is time to change the brush
head.
4 Power Tip (not with all models)
The Power Tip is designed for
cleaning between teeth as well as
around bridges, crowns and implants.
To use, position the Power Tip at a
45 degree angle to the gumline. Slowly
guide the Power Tip along the gumline,
pausing between teeth for excellent
results.
5 Tongue Cleaner (not with all models)
The Tongue Cleaner helps freshen
breath. It is designed to help remove
oral malodor and can be used everyday
– before or after brushing. You can use
mouthwash with the Tongue Cleaner.
Attach it to the handle, turn the
appliance on and drag it across the
tongue from back to front. We
recommend using the «Sensitive»
mode for enhanced control during use.
Rinse after use. Replace the Tongue
Cleaner when the material becomes
worn.
16
6 Interdental Cleaner
(not with all models)
The Interdental Cleaner effectively
cleans between the teeth and helps
keep your gums healthy. It should be
used before brushing. Break one pick
cleaner off the base (7) and insert it into
the slot in the neck of the white pick
holder. Attach the Interdental Cleaner
to the handle and turn the appliance
on. Depending on which part of your
mouth you are cleaning, the pick holder
should be adjusted by turning it, so
that the blunt side always faces your
gums. Guide the cleaner between your
teeth and clean systematically from
space to space. We recommend using
the «Sensitive» mode for enhanced
control during use. A pick cleaner can
be used approximately two to three
times until it becomes too soft to
effectively fit and clean between the
teeth. Replacement cleaners are
available separately.
Oral-B Professional Care replacement
brush heads and accessories are
available in stores that sell Oral-B
products.
