XOVER FREQ
This chorus eect outputs the same sound from both the L and R
channels.
This stereo chorus uses spatial synthesis, with the direct sound
output to the L channel and the eect sound output to the R
channel.
This is a two-phase stereo chorus eect that adds dierent chorus
sounds to the L and R channels.
The frequency bands are divided to produce two dierent choruses,
one for low frequencies and one for higher frequencies. This makes
the chorus sound more natural.
Adjusts the time needed for the eect sound
to be output after the direct sound has been
output.
Produces a deeper sense of modulation.
SIN
Produces a typical chorus eect.

Sets the frequency at which the low cut lter
begins to take eect. When “FLAT” is selected,
the low cut lter has no eect.
Sets the frequency at which the high cut lter
begins to take eect. When “FLAT” is selected,
the high cut lter has no eect.
Adjusts the volume of the direct sound.
Setting this to 0 cuts the direct sound.
Adjusts the speed of the chorus eect for the

(doubling eect).
Adjusts the volume of the chorus sound in
the low-frequency range.
This sets the frequency dividing the low- and
high-frequency ranges.
FLANGER
The anger eect gives a twisting, jet-airplane-like character to the
sound.

This is a phaser with two phase shift circuits
connected in series.
Determines the amount of resonance (feedback).
Increasing the value emphasizes the eect, for a

This sets the cycle of the step function that
changes the rate and depth. When it is set to a

no eect.
DUAL CUBE LX Eect Parameter List
NS (NOISE SUPPRESSOR)
This eect reduces the noise and hum picked up by guitar pickups. Since
it suppresses the noise in synchronization with the envelope of the guitar
sound (the way in which the guitar sound decays over time), it has very
little eect on the guitar sound, and does not harm the natural character
of the sound.
ParameterValueExplanation
ON/OFFOFF, ONTurns this eect on/o.
Adjust this parameter as appropriate for the
volume of the noise. If the noise level is high, a
higher setting is appropriate. If the noise level is
THRESHOLD0–100
RELEASE0–100
low, a lower setting is appropriate.
* High settings for the threshold parameter may
result in there being no sound when you play
with your guitar volume turned down.
Adjusts the time from when the noise suppressor
begins to function until the noise level reaches “0”.
PEDAL WAH
Use an EV-1-WL wireless MIDI expression pedal (sold separately) to control
the wah eect in real time.
ParameterValueExplanation
Selects the wah mode.
CRY WAH
VO WAHThis models the sound of the VOX V846.
FAT WAHThis is a wah sound featuring a bold tone.

LIGHT WAH
7STRING
WAH
RESO WAH
0–100
This models the sound of the CRY BABY wah
pedal popular in the ’70s.
This wah has a rened sound with no unusual
characteristics.
This expanded wah features a variable range
compatible with seven-string and baritone
guitars.
This completely original eect enhances the
characteristic resonances produced by analog
synth lters.
Adjusts the position of the wah pedal.
* This parameter is used after it’s been assigned
to an EXP pedal or similar controller.
Selects the tone produced when the heel of the
pedal is depressed.
Selects the tone produced when the toe of the
pedal is depressed.
FOOT VOLUME
This is a volume control eect.
ParameterValueExplanation
VOLUME MIN 0–100
VOLUME MAX 0–100
LEVEL0–100Sets the volume.
* Use the EV-1-WL (sold separately) to control the LEVEL.
Sets the volume when the heel of the EXP Pedal is
depressed.
Sets the volume when the toe of the EXP Pedal is
depressed.

EV-1-WL Connection Guide
This guide explains how you can use BLE MIDI to wirelessly pair (connect) the EV-1-WL and DUAL CUBE LX.
* The Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL, sold separately) is needed when wirelessly pairing the EV-1-WL with the DUAL CUBE LX.
See the Owner’s Manual for how to attach the adaptor.
What is “BLE MIDI”?
“BLE MIDI” is the technology used to transmit and receive MIDI
messages wirelessly via Bluetooth® LE.
This is ocially known as “MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy”.
Connecting the DUAL CUBE LX, EV-1-WL and
DUAL CUBE LX Editor at the Same Time
Connect the units in the order shown below.

4. Press the EV-1-WL’s [Bluetooth] button.
The Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL rapidly blinks white, and
pairing begins.
The Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL stops blinking and remains
lit white when pairing is nished, and the DUAL CUBE LX and EV-1-WL
are now connected.
When the devices are correctly connected, their respective statuses
are as follows.

*1 To check the indicator status, quickly press the Bluetooth button on the EV-1-WL
twice. The color switches between white (lit up) and blue (blinking).
Connection 2: Connecting the DUAL CUBE LX and
DUAL CUBE LX Editor
Connect the DUAL CUBE LX to the DUAL CUBE LX Editor. Follow the steps
in “Launching the DUAL CUBE LX Editor” (p. 1) to connect.
1. Connect the DUAL CUBE LX to your computer with a USB
cable.
2. From the “Start” menu, select [All Programs] Ó [DUAL CUBE LX
Editor] Ó [DUAL CUBE LX Editor].
macOS users
From the Finder, in the Applications/BOSS/DUAL CUBE LX folder,
double-click [DUAL CUBE LX Editor Editor (.app)].
Connection 1: Connect the DUAL CUBE LX and the EV-1-WL
1. Turn the DUAL CUBE LX on.
The Bluetooth indicator on the BT-DUAL blinks. If the indicator is
unlit, press the BT-DUAL pairing button to make it blink.
2. With the EV-1-WL turned on, place it nearby.
3. Make sure that the Bluetooth indicator on the EV-1-WL is
blinking white.
If the indicator is blinking blue or is lit up white, operate the device
as shown below to make the indicator blink white.
Blink blueQuickly press the EV-1-WL’s [ Bluetooth] button twice.
Lit white
The device is connected to a dierent device (product).
Long-press the [Bluetooth] button on the EV-1-WL to
disconnect the unit from that device (product).
3. Congure the parameters to be controlled by the EV-1-WL
(p. 18).
NOTE
¹ The DUAL CUBE LX and EV-1-WL automatically connect next time
they are restarted. To connect the DUAL CUBE LX Editor, you must
follow the steps in “Connection 2” each time.
¹ The EV-1-WL remembers the information for the last Bluetooth
device to which it was connected. When connecting to a dierent
device after connecting to the DUAL CUBE LX, or when turning
o the power while the Bluetooth indicator is blinking white
(not connected), or when doing a factory reset of the EV-1-WL,
the device does not pair automatically. In this case, go back to
“Connection 1” to congure the settings.
¹ When using Bluetooth audio from a mobile device, rst connect the
DUAL CUBE LX and the mobile device via Bluetooth audio, and then
connect the EV-1-WL to the DUAL CUBE LX.
