Subject: Replace all power supplies that have a part number of 277646 regardless of symptom.
Disposition: There are SoundDock systems in the field with the 277646 power supply, some of these systems

will have square style connectors and others have a tombstone style connector (see below).

Symptom: No power or system is working properly .
Reason: The 277646 power supply may provide too much current during a failure causing damage to the DSP

board. The new supply provides less current in the event of a failure.

Solution: Replace all 277646 power supplies with 293247-005 (white) or 293247-006 (black).

Caution:

The new power supplies have a tombstone style connector and will not fit correctly into the older SoundDock DC
opening. In this situation, the speaker enclosure will also need to be replaced.
