Sicherheitshinweise

Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise für Elektrowerkzeuge

	Lesen Sie alle Sicherheitshin-
WARNUNG
	weise und Anweisungen. Ver-

säumnisse bei der Einhaltung der Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen können elektrischen Schlag, Brand und/oder schwere Verletzungen verursachen.

Bewahren Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen für die Zukunft auf.

Der in den Sicherheitshinweisen verwendete Begriff „Elektrowerkzeug“ bezieht sich auf netzbetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge (mit Netzkabel) und auf akkubetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge (ohne Netzkabel).

1)Arbeitsplatzsicherheit

a)Halten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich sauber und gut beleuchtet. Unordnung oder unbeleuchtete Arbeitsbereiche können zu Unfällen führen.

b)Arbeiten Sie mit dem Elektrowerkzeug nicht in explosionsgefährdeter Umgebung, in der sich brennbare Flüssigkeiten, Gase oder Stäube befinden. Elektrowerkzeuge erzeugen Funken, die den Staub oder die Dämpfe entzünden können.

c)Halten Sie Kinder und andere Personen während der Benutzung des Elektrowerkzeugs fern. Bei Ablenkung können Sie die Kontrolle über das Gerät verlieren.

2)Elektrische Sicherheit

a)Der Anschlussstecker des Elektrowerkzeuges muss in die Steckdose passen. Der Stecker darf in keiner Weise verändert werden. Verwenden Sie keine Adapterstecker gemeinsam mit schutzgeerdeten Elektrowerkzeugen. Unveränderte Stecker und passende Steckdosen verringern das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

b)Vermeiden Sie Körperkontakt mit geerdeten Oberflächen wie von Rohren, Heizungen, Herden und Kühlschränken. Es besteht ein erhöhtes Risiko durch elektrischen Schlag, wenn Ihr Körper geerdet ist.

c)Halten Sie Elektrowerkzeuge von Regen oder Nässe fern. Das Eindringen von Wasser in ein Elektrowerkzeug erhöht das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

d)Zweckentfremden Sie das Kabel nicht, um das Elektrowerkzeug zu tragen, aufzuhängen oder um den Stecker aus der Steckdose zu ziehen. Halten Sie das Kabel fern von Hitze, Öl, scharfen Kanten oder sich bewegenden Geräteteilen. Beschädigte oder verwickelte Kabel erhöhen das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

e)Wenn Sie mit einem Elektrowerkzeug im Freien arbeiten, verwenden Sie nur Verlängerungskabel, die auch für den Außenbereich geeignet sind. Die Anwendung eines für den Außenbereich geeigneten Verlängerungskabels verringert das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

f)Wenn der Betrieb des Elektrowerkzeuges in feuchter Umgebung nicht vermeidbar ist, verwenden Sie einen Fehlerstromschutzschalter. Der Einsatz eines Fehlerstromschutzschalters vermindert das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

3)Sicherheit von Personen

a)Seien Sie aufmerksam, achten Sie darauf, was Sie tun, und gehen Sie mit Vernunft an die Arbeit mit einem Elektrowerkzeug. Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug, wenn Sie müde sind oder unter dem Einfluss von Drogen, Alkohol oder Medikamenten stehen. Ein Moment der Unachtsamkeit beim Gebrauch des Elektrowerkzeuges kann zu ernsthaften Verletzungen führen.

b)Tragen Sie persönliche Schutzausrüstung und immer eine Schutzbrille. Das Tragen persönlicher Schutzausrüstung, wie Staubmaske, rutschfeste Sicherheitsschuhe, Schutzhelm oder Gehörschutz, je nach Art und Einsatz des Elektrowerkzeuges, verringert das Risiko von Verletzungen.

c)Vermeiden Sie eine unbeabsichtigte Inbetriebnahme. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Elektrowerkzeug ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie es an die Stromversorgung und/oder den Akku anschließen, es

aufnehmen oder tragen. Wenn Sie beim Tragen des Elektrowerkzeuges den Finger am Schalter haben oder das Gerät eingeschaltet an die Stromversorgung anschließen, kann dies zu Unfällen führen.

d)Entfernen Sie Einstellwerkzeuge oder Schraubenschlüssel, bevor Sie das Elektrowerkzeug einschalten. Ein Werkzeug oder Schlüssel, der sich in einem drehenden Geräteteil befindet, kann zu Verletzungen führen.

e)Vermeiden Sie eine abnormale Körperhaltung. Sorgen Sie für einen sicheren Stand und halten Sie jederzeit das Gleichgewicht. Dadurch können Sie das Elektrowerkzeug in unerwarteten Situationen besser kontrollieren.

f)Tragen Sie geeignete Kleidung. Tragen Sie keine weite Kleidung oder Schmuck. Halten Sie Haare, Kleidung und Handschuhe fern von sich bewegenden Teilen. Lockere Kleidung, Schmuck oder lange Haare können von sich bewegenden Teilen erfasst werden.

g)Wenn Staubabsaugund -auffangein- richtungen montiert werden können, vergewissern Sie sich, dass diese angeschlossen sind und richtig verwendet werden. Verwendung einer Staubabsaugung kann Gefährdungen durch Staub verringern.

4)Verwendung und Behandlung des Elektrowerkzeuges

a)Überlasten Sie das Gerät nicht. Verwenden Sie für Ihre Arbeit das dafür bestimmte Elektrowerkzeug. Mit dem passenden Elektrowerkzeug arbeiten Sie besser und sicherer im angegebenen Leistungsbereich.

b)Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug, dessen Schalter defekt ist. Ein Elektrowerkzeug, das sich nicht mehr einoder ausschalten lässt, ist gefährlich und muss repariert werden.

c)Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose und/oder entfernen Sie den Akku, bevor Sie Geräteeinstellungen vornehmen, Zubehörteile wechseln oder das Gerät weglegen. Diese Vorsichtsmaßnahme verhindert den unbeabsichtigten Start des Elektrowerkzeuges.

d)Bewahren Sie unbenutzte Elektrowerkzeuge außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf. Lassen Sie Personen das Gerät nicht benutzen, die mit diesem nicht vertraut sind oder diese Anweisungen nicht gelesen haben. Elektrowerkzeuge sind gefährlich, wenn sie von unerfahrenen Personen benutzt werden.

e)Pflegen Sie Elektrowerkzeuge mit Sorgfalt. Kontrollieren Sie, ob bewegliche Teile einwandfrei funktionieren und nicht klemmen, ob Teile gebrochen oder so beschädigt sind, dass die Funktion des Elektrowerkzeuges beeinträchtigt ist. Lassen Sie beschädigte Teile vor dem Einsatz des Gerätes reparieren. Viele Unfälle haben ihre Ursache in schlecht gewarteten Elektrowerkzeugen.

f)Halten Sie Schneidwerkzeuge scharf und sauber. Sorgfältig gepflegte Schneidwerkzeuge mit scharfen Schneidkanten verklemmen sich weniger und sind leichter zu führen.

g)Verwenden Sie Elektrowerkzeug, Zubehör, Einsatzwerkzeuge usw. entsprechend diesen Anweisungen. Berücksichtigen Sie dabei die Arbeitsbedingungen und die auszuführende Tätigkeit. Der Gebrauch von Elektrowerkzeugen für andere als die vorgesehenen Anwendungen kann zu gefährlichen Situationen führen.

5)Service

a)Lassen Sie Ihr Elektrowerkzeug nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal und nur mit Original-Ersatzteilen reparieren. Damit wird sichergestellt, dass die Sicherheit des Elektrowerkzeuges erhalten bleibt.

Sicherheitshinweise für Elektroschaber

fHalten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug beim Arbeiten fest mit beiden Händen und sorgen Sie für einen sicheren Stand. Das Elektrowerkzeug wird mit zwei Händen sicherer geführt.

fSichern Sie das Werkstück. Ein mit Spannvorrichtungen oder Schraubstock festgehaltenes Werkstück ist sicherer gehalten als mit Ihrer Hand.

fBenutzen Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nicht mit beschädigtem Kabel. Berühren Sie das beschädigte Kabel nicht und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker, wenn das Kabel während des Arbeitens beschädigt wird. Beschädigte Kabel erhöhen das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

fSchaben Sie keine angefeuchteten Materialien (z.B. Tapeten) und nicht auf feuchtem Untergrund. Das Eindringen von Wasser in ein Elektrowerkzeug erhöht das Risiko eines elektrischen Schlages.

fBehandeln Sie die zu bearbeitende Fläche nicht mit lösungsmittelhaltigen Flüssigkeiten. Durch die Erwärmung der Werkstoffe beim Schaben können giftige Dämpfe entstehen.

fSeien Sie beim Umgang mit den Messern besonders vorsichtig. Die Werkzeuge sind sehr scharf, es besteht Verletzungsgefahr.

fFühren Sie das Kabel nach hinten vom Elektrowerkzeug weg. Eine Beschädigung des Kabels durch das scharfe Einsatzwerkzeug kann elektrischen Schlag verursachen.

fTragen Sie beim Arbeiten eine Schutzbrille und Schutzhandschuhe. Durch absplitternde und herumfliegende Werkstoffteile besteht Verletzungsgefahr.

Funktionsbeschreibung

Lesen Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen. Versäumnisse bei der Einhaltung der Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen können elektrischen Schlag, Brand und/oder schwere Verletzungen verursachen.

Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch

Das Elektrowerkzeug ist bestimmt zum partiellen Entfernen und Abschaben von Belägen, Kleb- stoff-, Farboder Spachtelmasse-Rückständen, zum Glätten von Unebenheiten sowie für Schnitzarbeiten an weichen Hölzern. Es ist nicht geeignet zum Entfernen von Fliesen.

Der angegebene Schwingungspegel repräsentiert die hauptsächlichen Anwendungen des Elektrowerkzeugs. Wenn allerdings das Elektrowerkzeug für andere Anwendungen, mit abweichenden Einsatzwerkzeugen oder ungenügender Wartung eingesetzt wird, kann der Schwingungspegel abweichen. Dies kann die Schwingungsbelastung über den gesamten Arbeitszeitraum deutlich erhöhen.

Für eine genaue Abschätzung der Schwingungsbelastung sollten auch die Zeiten berücksichtigt werden, in denen das Gerät abgeschaltet ist oder zwar läuft, aber nicht tatsächlich im Einsatz ist. Dies kann die Schwingungsbelastung über den gesamten Arbeitszeitraum deutlich reduzieren.

Legen Sie zusätzliche Sicherheitsmaßnahmen zum Schutz des Bedieners vor der Wirkung von Schwingungen fest wie zum Beispiel: Wartung von Elektrowerkzeug und Einsatzwerkzeugen, Warmhalten der Hände, Organisation der Arbeitsabläufe.

Geräusch-/Vibrationsinformation

Messwerte ermittelt entsprechend EN 60745.

Der A-bewertete Schalldruckpegel des Elektrowerkzeugs beträgt typischerweise 75 dB(A). Unsicherheit K=3 dB.

Der Geräuschpegel beim Arbeiten kann 80 dB(A) überschreiten.

Gehörschutz tragen!

Schwingungsgesamtwerte (Vektorsumme dreier Richtungen) ermittelt entsprechend EN 60745: Schwingungsemissionswert ah = 9,5 m/s2, Unsicherheit K = 1,5 m/s2.

Der in diesen Anweisungen angegebene Schwingungspegel ist entsprechend einem in EN 60745 genormten Messverfahren gemessen worden und kann für den Vergleich von Elektrowerkzeugen miteinander verwendet werden. Er eignet sich auch für eine vorläufige Einschätzung der Schwingungsbelastung.

Montage

fZiehen Sie vor allen Arbeiten am Elektrowerkzeug den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

Werkzeugwechsel

fTragen Sie beim Werkzeugwechsel Schutzhandschuhe. Nehmen Sie den Messerschutz 6 der extrascharfen Messer nur zum Arbeiten ab. Bei Berührung scharfkantiger Einsatzwerkzeuge besteht Verletzungsgefahr.

Einsatzwerkzeug einsetzen (siehe Bild A)

Zur Auswahl der Einsatzwerkzeuge siehe „Werkzeugempfehlungen“, Seite 9.

Drücken Sie die Taste Werkzeugarretierung 5 und halten Sie sie gedrückt. Schieben Sie das Einsatzwerkzeug (z.B. Messer 1) wie im Bild gezeigt mit der Arbeitskante nach unten bis zum Anschlag in die Werkzeugaufnahme 2.

Lassen Sie die Taste Werkzeugarretierung 5 los. Ziehen Sie das Einsatzwerkzeug aus der Werkzeugaufnahme 2, bis es hörbar einrastet.

fPrüfen Sie das Einsatzwerkzeug auf festen Sitz. Falsch oder nicht sicher befestigte Einsatzwerkzeuge können sich während des Betriebs lösen und Sie gefährden.

Nehmen Sie bei extrascharfen Messern erst jetzt den Messerschutz 6 ab.

Einsatzwerkzeug entnehmen

Setzen Sie vor dem Entnehmen von extrascharfen Messern zuerst den Messerschutz 6 auf.

Drücken Sie zum Entnehmen des Einsatzwerkzeugs die Taste Werkzeugarretierung 5 und ziehen Sie das Einsatzwerkzeug heraus.

Reinigen Sie das Einsteckende des Einsatzwerkzeugs nach jedem Entnehmen.

Staub-/Späneabsaugung

fStäube von Materialien wie bleihaltigem Anstrich, einigen Holzarten, Mineralien und Metall können gesundheitsschädlich sein. Berühren oder Einatmen der Stäube können allergische Reaktionen und/oder Atemwegserkrankungen des Benutzers oder in der Nähe befindlicher Personen hervorrufen.

Bestimmte Stäube wie Eichenoder Buchenstaub gelten als krebserzeugend, besonders in Verbindung mit Zusatzstoffen zur Holzbehandlung (Chromat, Holzschutzmittel). Asbesthaltiges Material darf nur von Fachleuten bearbeitet werden.

–Sorgen Sie für gute Belüftung des Arbeitsplatzes.

–Es wird empfohlen, eine Atemschutzmaske mit Filterklasse P2 zu tragen.

Beachten Sie in Ihrem Land gültige Vorschriften für die zu bearbeitenden Materialien.

Betrieb

Inbetriebnahme

fBeachten Sie die Netzspannung! Die Spannung der Stromquelle muss mit den Angaben auf dem Typenschild des Elektrowerkzeuges übereinstimmen. Mit 230 V gekennzeichnete Elektrowerkzeuge können auch an 220 V betrieben werden.

Ein-/Ausschalten

Zum Einschalten des Elektrowerkzeugs schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter 4 je nach gewünschter Hubzahl in Stellung „1“, „2“ oder „3“.

Zum Ausschalten des Elektrowerkzeugs schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter 4 in Stellung „0“.

Hubzahl vorwählen

Mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter 4 können Sie die benötigte Hubzahl in drei Stufen vorwählen. Schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter in die gewünschte Stellung.

Stufe 1 niedrige Hubzahl: für Detailarbeiten, die Präzision erfordern

Stufe 2 mittlere Hubzahl

Stufe 3 hohe Hubzahl: für schnellen Materialabtrag

Die erforderliche Hubzahl ist vom Werkstoff und den Arbeitsbedingungen abhängig und kann durch praktischen Versuch ermittelt werden.

Beginnen Sie immer zuerst mit der niedrigsten Stufe. Ist der Abtrag zu gering, wählen Sie die nächsthöhere Stufe.

Arbeitshinweise

fArbeiten Sie niemals in Richtung auf den Körper. Halten Sie während des Arbeitens andere Personen vom Arbeitsbereich fern.

Durch die scharfkantigen Einsatzwerkzeuge besteht Verletzungsgefahr.

Bild B: Halten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug wie im Bild dargestellt mit beiden Händen und führen Sie die Hände nicht vor den unmittelbaren Arbeitsbereich.

Führen Sie das Einsatzwerkzeug an die abzutragende Stelle heran. Beginnen Sie in flachem Winkel und mit geringem Anpressdruck. Bei zu hohem Anpressdruck kann der Untergrund (z.B. Holz, Putz) beschädigt werden.

Erst durch den Druck auf das Werkstück wird die Hubbewegung des Einsatzwerkzeugs ausgelöst. Dadurch kann eine genaue Positionierung des Einsatzwerkzeugs an der abzutragenden Stelle erreicht werden.

Hinweis: Das Elektrowerkzeug und die Einsatzwerkzeuge werden bei längerem Gebrauch warm. Überlasten Sie das Elektrowerkzeug nicht und lassen Sie es zwischen den einzelnen Arbeitsgängen immer wieder abkühlen.

Werkzeugempfehlungen

Die Wahl des optimalen Einsatzwerkzeugs (Zubehör) ist abhängig vom Einsatzbereich und muss durch Ausprobieren am jeweiligen Werkstück ermittelt werden.

Breite Einsatzwerkzeuge sind für großflächigen, schmale Einsatzwerkzeuge für punktuellen Abtrag (besonders an schlecht zugänglichen Stellen) geeignet.

Einsatzwerkzeuge aus Hartmetall haben eine höhere Lebensdauer als Einsatzwerkzeuge aus Stahl.

Messer

Messer eignen sich überwiegend für Arbeiten auf hartem Untergrund (z.B. Beton). Weicher Untergrund (z.B. Holz) kann bei der Arbeit mit extrascharfen Messern leicht beschädigt werden.

Mögliche Anwendungen:

–Entfernen von Teppichkleber-, Teppichschaumoder Hartschaumresten, Putz-, Gipsund Mörtelresten sowie Resten von Fugenmaterial

–Unebenheiten egalisieren (z.B. Kleber auf Estrich)

–Ablösen von Bodenbelägen (z.B. Teppich, PVC, Kork)

Mit folgenden Messern können leicht lösbare Materialien wie Kleberoder abblätternde Farbreste auch von weichem Untergrund (z.B. Holz, Aluminium) entfernt werden.

Staubschutzkappe wechseln

Die Staubschutzkappe 3 verhindert das Eindringen von Staub und Schmutz in die Werkzeugaufnahme 2 und dient zusätzlich als Leer- lauf-Hubstopp.

Die Staubschutzkappe 3 kann sich im Lauf der Zeit abnutzen. Wechseln Sie eine beschädigte oder abgenutzte Staubschutzkappe sofort aus.

Zum Wechseln der Staubschutzkappe 3 führen Sie einen Schlitzschraubendreher mit 2–3 mm breiter Klinge in die Aussparung an der unteren Gehäuseschale hinter der Staubschutzkappe ein und ziehen die Staubschutzkappe ab. Setzen Sie eine neue Staubschutzkappe auf und drücken Sie sie gut fest.

General Power Tool Safety Warnings

	Read all safety warnings and all
WARNING
	instructions. Failure to follow

the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

1)Work area safety

a)Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.

b)Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

c)Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

2)Electrical safety

a)Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.

b)Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

c)Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.

d)Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts.

Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.

e)When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.

f)If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3)Personal safety

a)Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.

A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.

b)Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

c)Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.

d)Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on.

A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.

e)Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.

f)Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts.

Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

g)If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

4)Power tool use and care

a)Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

b)Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

c)Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

d)Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.

Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

e)Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

f)Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

g)Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

5)Service

a)Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Safety Warnings for Electric Scrapers

fWhen working with the machine, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a secure stance. The power tool is guided more secure with both hands.

fSecure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped with clamping devices or in a vice is held more secure than by hand.

fNever use the machine with a damaged cable. Do not touch the damaged cable and pull the mains plug when the cable is damaged while working. Damaged cables increase the risk of an electric shock.

fDo not scrape wetted materials (e. g. wallpaper) or on moist surfaces. Penetration of water into the machine increases the risk of an electric shock.

fDo not treat the surface to be worked with solvent-containing fluids. Materials being warmed up by the scraping can cause toxic vapours to develop.

fUse extreme caution when handling blades.

The application tools are very sharp. Danger of injury.

fConduct the mains cable to the rear away from the power tool. Damage to the cable from sharp application tools can lead to electric shock.

fWhen working, wear safety goggles and protective gloves. Danger of injury from chipping off or thrown about material particles.

fProducts sold in GB only: Your product is fitted with an BS 1363/A approved electric plug with internal fuse (ASTA approved to

BS 1362).

If the plug is not suitable for your socket outlets, it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted in its place by an authorised customer service agent. The replacement plug should have the same fuse rating as the original plug.

The severed plug must be disposed of to avoid a possible shock hazard and should never be inserted into a mains socket elsewhere.

The declared vibration emission level represents the main applications of the tool. However if the tool is used for different applications, with different accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration emission may differ. This may significantly increase the exposure level over the total working period.

An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should also take into account the times when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not actually doing the job. This may significantly reduce the exposure level over the total working period.

Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the effects of vibration such as: maintain the tool and the accessories, keep the hands warm, organisation of work patterns.

fBefore any work on the machine itself, pull the mains plug.

Changing the Tool

fWhen changing the application tool, wear protective gloves. Remove the blade cover 6 for extra-sharp blades only for working.

Danger of injury when touching the sharpedged application tools.

Inserting (see figure A)

For selection of the application tools, see “Recommendations for Application Tools”, page 17.

Press and hold the tool-lock button 5. With the working edge facing downward, insert the application tool (e. g. blade 1) to the stop into the tool holder 2 as shown in the figure.

Release the tool-lock button 5. Pull the application tool out of the tool holder 2, until it can be heard to engage.

fCheck the tight seating of the application tool/accessory. Incorrect or not securely fastened application tools/accessories can come loose during operation and pose a hazard.

For extra-sharp blades, do not remove the blade cover 6 until now.

Removing

Mount the blade cover 6 before removing extrasharp blades.

To remove the application tool, press the toollock button 5 and pull out the application tool.

Clean the shank end of the application tool each time after removing it.

Dust/Chip Extraction

fDusts from materials such as lead-containing coatings, some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to one’s health. Touching or breathing-in the dusts can cause allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of the user or bystanders.

Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are considered as carcinogenic, especially in connection with wood-treatment additives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials containing asbestos may only be worked by specialists.

–Provide for good ventilation of the working place.

–It is recommended to wear a P2 filterclass respirator.

Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the materials to be worked.

Operation

Starting Operation

fObserve correct mains voltage! The voltage of the power source must agree with the voltage specified on the nameplate of the machine. Power tools marked with 230 V can also be operated with 220 V.

Switching On and Off

To switch on the power tool, push the On/Off switch 4 to position “1”, “2” or “3”, depending on the desired stroke rate.

To switch off the power tool, push the On/Off switch 4 back to the “0” position.

Presetting the Stroke Rate

With the On/Off switch 4, you can preselect three settings for the required stroke rate. Push the On/Off switch to the desired position.

Setting 1 Low stroke rate: For detailed work requiring precision

Setting 2 Medium stroke rate

Setting 3 High stroke rate: For high material removal

The required stroke rate is dependent on the material and the working conditions and can be determined by a practical trial.

Always start with the lowest setting. When the removal rate is too low, select the next higher setting.

Working Advice

fNever work towards your body. While working, ensure other persons are not in the working range. Danger of injury from the sharp-edged application tools.

Fig. B: Hold the machine with both hands as shown in the figure, and do not position or place the hands directly in front of the working area.

Guide the application tool to the location where material is to be removed. Start at a flat angle and with low application pressure. When the application pressure is too high, the structural surface (e.g., wood, plaster) can become damaged.

The stroke motion of the application tool is actuated through the pressure applied on the workpiece. This allows for exact positioning of the application tool at the location where material is to be removed.

Note: The machine and the application tools heat up after prolonged use. Do not overload the machine and allow it to cool down between individual work steps.

Recommendations for Application Tools

The choice of the optimal application tool (accessory) depends on the application area and must be determined by trial on the respective workpiece.

Wide application tools are for large-scale revomal; narrow application tools are for spot-removal (especially at hard to reach locations).

Carbide (TC) application tools provide longer service life than steel application tools.

Cutter

Blades are mainly suitable for scraping applications on hard surfaces (e.g. concrete). Soft surfaces (e.g. wood) can easily be damaged when working with extra-sharp blades.

Maintenance and Cleaning

fBefore any work on the machine itself, pull the mains plug.

fFor safe and proper working, always keep the machine and ventilation slots clean.

Clean the application tools from adhesive and debris remainders each time after using.

Replacing the Dust Protection Cap

The dust protection cap 3 prevents the penetration of dust and debris into the tool holder 2 and additionally serves as a no-load stroke stop.

The dust protection cap 3 can wear off with time. Replace a damaged or worn dust protection cap immediately.

To replace the dust protection cap 3, insert a slotted screwdriver with a slot width of

2 – 3 mm into the recess at the bottom housing shell behind the dust protection cap, and remove the dust protection cap. Mount a new dust protection cap ensuring that it is seated tightly.

Regrinding Steel Application Tools

Good working results can only be achieved with sharp application tools. Therefore, resharpen application tools in good time. This ensures a long service life of the application tools and good working results.

Regrinding with a Belt Sander:

Mount the belt sander into a stationary device.

Turn around the electric scraper with the steel application tool installed by 180°. Do not start the electric

scraper.

Observe the running direction of the sanding belt when regrinding.

Regrinding with a Bench Grinder:

Turn around the electric scraper with the steel application tool

installed by 180°. Do

not start the electric scraper.

Take care that the cutting edges of the steel application tool are not subject to annealing coloration (blue-coloring), as this will impair the hardness of the application tools.

If the machine should fail despite the care taken in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair should be carried out by an after-sales service centre for Bosch power tools.

Avertissements de sécurité généraux pour l’outil

AVERTISSEMENT Lire tous les avertisse- ments de sécurité et

toutes les instructions. Ne pas suivre les avertissements et instructions peut donner lieu à un choc électrique, un incendie et/ou une blessure sérieuse.

Conserver tous les avertissements et toutes les instructions pour pouvoir s’y reporter ultérieurement.

Le terme « outil » dans les avertissements fait référence à votre outil électrique alimenté par le secteur (avec cordon d’alimentation) ou votre outil fonctionnant sur batterie (sans cordon d’alimentation).

1)Sécurité de la zone de travail

a)Conserver la zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Les zones en désordre ou sombres sont propices aux accidents.

b)Ne pas faire fonctionner les outils électriques en atmosphère explosive, par exemple en présence de liquides inflammables, de gaz ou de poussières. Les outils électriques produisent des étincelles qui peuvent enflammer les poussières ou les fumées.

c)Maintenir les enfants et les personnes présentes à l’écart pendant l’utilisation de l’outil. Les distractions peuvent vous faire perdre le contrôle de l’outil.

2)Sécurité électrique

a)ll faut que les fiches de l’outil électrique soient adaptées au socle. Ne jamais modifier la fiche de quelque façon que ce soit. Ne pas utiliser d’adaptateurs avec des outils à branchement de terre. Des fiches non modifiées et des socles adaptés réduiront le risque de choc électrique.

b)Eviter tout contact du corps avec des surfaces reliées à la terre telles que les tuyaux, les radiateurs, les cuisinières et les réfrigérateurs. Il existe un risque accru de choc électrique si votre corps est relié à la terre.

c)Ne pas exposer les outils à la pluie ou à des conditions humides. La pénétration d’eau à l’intérieur d’un outil augmentera le risque de choc électrique.

d)Ne pas maltraiter le cordon. Ne jamais utiliser le cordon pour porter, tirer ou débrancher l’outil. Maintenir le cordon à l’écart de la chaleur, du lubrifiant, des arêtes ou des parties en mouvement. Les cordons endommagés ou emmêlés augmentent le risque de choc électrique.

e)Lorsqu’on utilise un outil à l’extérieur, utiliser un prolongateur adapté à l’utilisation extérieure. L’utilisation d’un cordon adapté à l’utilisation extérieure réduit le risque de choc électrique.

f)Si l’usage d’un outil dans un emplacement humide est inévitable, utiliser une alimentation protégée par un dispositif à courant différentiel résiduel (RCD).

L’usage d’un RCD réduit le risque de choc électrique.

3)Sécurité des personnes

a)Rester vigilant, regarder ce que vous êtes en train de faire et faire preuve de bon sens dans votre utilisation de l’outil. Ne pas utiliser un outil lorsque vous êtes fatigué ou sous l’emprise de drogues, d’alcool ou de médicaments. Un moment d’inattention en cours d’utilisation d’un outil peut entraîner des blessures graves des personnes.

b)Utiliser un équipement de sécurité. Toujours porter une protection pour les yeux.

Les équipements de sécurité tels que les masques contre les poussières, les chaussures de sécurité antidérapantes, les casques ou les protections acoustiques utilisés pour les conditions appropriées réduiront les blessures de personnes.

c)Eviter tout démarrage intempestif. S’assurer que l’interrupteur est en position arrêt avant de brancher l’outil au secteur et/ou au bloc de batteries, de le ramasser ou de le porter. Porter les outils en ayant le doigt sur l’interrupteur ou brancher des outils dont l’interrupteur est en position marche est source d’accidents.

d)Retirer toute clé de réglage avant de mettre l’outil en marche. Une clé laissée fixée sur une partie tournante de l’outil peut donner lieu à des blessures de personnes.

e)Ne pas se précipiter. Garder une position et un équilibre adaptés à tout moment. Cela permet un meilleur contrôle de l’outil dans des situations inattendues.

f)S’habiller de manière adaptée. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou de bijoux. Garder les cheveux, les vêtements et les gants à distance des parties en mouvement. Des vêtements amples, des bijoux ou les cheveux longs peuvent être pris dans des parties en mouvement.

g)Si des dispositifs sont fournis pour le raccordement d’équipements pour l’extraction et la récupération des poussières, s’assurer qu’ils sont connectés et correctement utilisés. Utiliser des collecteurs de poussière peut réduire les risques dus aux poussières.

4)Utilisation et entretien de l’outil

a)Ne pas forcer l’outil. Utiliser l’outil adapté à votre application. L’outil adapté réalisera mieux le travail et de manière plus sûre au régime pour lequel il a été construit.

b)Ne pas utiliser l’outil si l’interrupteur ne permet pas de passer de l’état de marche à arrêt et vice versa. Tout outil qui ne peut pas être commandé par l’interrupteur est dangereux et il faut le réparer.

c)Débrancher la fiche de la source d’alimentation en courant et/ou le bloc de batteries de l’outil avant tout réglage, changement d’accessoires ou avant de ranger l’outil. De telles mesures de sécurité préventives réduisent le risque de démarrage accidentel de l’outil.

d)Conserver les outils à l’arrêt hors de la portée des enfants et ne pas permettre à des personnes ne connaissant pas l’outil ou les présentes instructions de le faire fonctionner. Les outils sont dangereux entre les mains d’utilisateurs novices.

e)Observer la maintenance de l’outil. Vérifier qu’il n’y a pas de mauvais alignement ou de blocage des parties mobiles, des pièces cassées ou toute autre condition pouvant affecter le fonctionnement de l’outil. En cas de dommages, faire réparer l’outil avant de l’utiliser. De nombreux accidents sont dus à des outils mal entretenus.

f)Garder affûtés et propres les outils permettant de couper. Des outils destinés à couper correctement entretenus avec des pièces coupantes tranchantes sont moins susceptibles de bloquer et sont plus faciles à contrôler.

g)Utiliser l’outil, les accessoires et les lames etc., conformément à ces instructions, en tenant compte des conditions de travail et du travail à réaliser. L’utilisation de l’outil pour des opérations différentes de celles prévues pourrait donner lieu à des situations dangereuses.

5)Maintenance et entretien

a)Faire entretenir l’outil par un réparateur qualifié utilisant uniquement des pièces de rechange identiques. Cela assurera que la sécurité de l’outil est maintenue.

Avertissements de sécurité pour spatules électriques

fToujours bien tenir l’outil électroportatif des deux mains et veiller à toujours garder une position de travail stable. Avec les deux mains, l’outil électroportatif est guidé de manière plus sûre.

fBloquer la pièce à travailler. Une pièce à travailler serrée par des dispositifs de serrage ou dans un étau est fixée de manière plus sûre que tenue dans les mains.

fNe jamais utiliser un outil électroportatif dont le câble est endommagé. Ne pas toucher à un câble endommagé et retirer la fiche du câble d’alimentation de la prise du courant, au cas où le câble serait endommagé lors du travail. Un câble endommagé augmente le risque d’un choc électrique.

fNe grattez pas de matériaux humidifiés (p.ex. papiers peints) et pas sur une surface humide. La pénétration d’eau à l’intérieur d’un outil électrique augmente le risque de choc électrique.

fNe traitez pas la surface à travailler avec des liquides contenant des solvants. Des vapeurs nuisibles à la santé peuvent être générées si les matériaux s’échauffent lors du grattage.

fSoyez extrêmement vigilant lors de la manipulation des couteaux. Les outils sont très tranchants, il y a danger de blessure.

fToujours ramener le câble vers l’arrière de l’outil électroportatif. Un endommagement du câble par l’outil de travail tranchant peut causer un choc électrique.

fPortez des lunettes de protection et des gants de protection lors du travail. Il y a danger de blessure par les éclats de matériau projetés.

Utilisation conforme

L’outil électroportatif est conçu pour l’élimination partielle et le grattage de revêtements, de restes de colle, de peinture ou de mastic, pour lisser les aspérités ainsi que pour réaliser des sculptures dans les bois tendres. Il n’est pas conçu pour éliminer du carrelage.

Porter une protection acoustique !

Valeurs totales des vibrations (somme de vecteurs de trois sens) relevé conformément à EN 60745 :

Valeur d’émission vibratoire ah = 9,5 m/s2, Incertitude K = 1,5 m/s2.

L’amplitude d’oscillation indiquée dans ces instructions d’utilisation a été mesurée conformément à la norme EN 60745 et peut être utilisée pour une comparaison d’outils électroportatifs. Elle est également appropriée pour une estimation préliminaire de la sollicitation vibratoire.

L’amplitude d’oscillation représente les utilisations principales de l’outil électroportatif. Si l’outil électroportatif est cependant utilisé pour d’autres applications, avec d’autres outils de travail ou avec un entretien non approprié, l’amplitude d’oscillation peut être différente. Ceci peut augmenter considérablement la sollicitation vibratoire pendant toute la durée de travail. Pour une estimation précise de la sollicitation vibratoire, il est recommandé de prendre aussi en considération les espaces de temps pendant lesquels l’appareil est éteint ou en fonctionnement, mais pas vraiment utilisé. Ceci peut réduire considérablement la sollicitation vibratoire pendant toute la durée de travail.

Déterminez des mesures de protection supplémentaires pour protéger l’utilisateur des effets de vibrations, telles que par exemple : Entretien de l’outil électroportatif et des outils de travail, maintenir les mains chaudes, organisation des opérations de travail.

Montage

fAvant d’effectuer des travaux sur l’outil électroportatif, retirez la fiche de la prise de courant.

Changement de l’outil

fPortez des gants de protection lors du changement d’outil. Ne retirez le protègecouteau 6 des couteaux très acérés que pour travailler. Lors d’un contact avec les outils de travail à bords tranchants, il y a un risque de blessures.

Montage des outils de travail (voir figure A)

Pour le choix des outils de travail, voir « Outils recommandés », page 26.

Appuyez sur la touche de blocage d’outil 5 et maintenez-la dans cette position. Insérez l’outil de travail (p.ex. couteau 1) conformément à la figure à fond dans le porte-outil 2, le chant de travail doit être dirigé vers le bas.

Relâchez la touche de blocage d’outil 5. Retirez l’outil de travail du porte-outil 2 jusqu’à ce qu’il s’encliquette de façon audible.

fContrôler si l’accessoire est bien serré. Les accessoires non correctement fixés peuvent se détacher pendant l’utilisation et vous mettre en danger.

Ce n’est que maintenant que vous pouvez retirer le protège-couteau des couteaux très acérés 6.

Sortir l’outil de travail

Avant de retirer les couteaux très acérés, remettre en place le protège-couteau 6.

Pour enlever l’outil de travail, appuyez sur la touche de blocage d’outil 5 et retirez l’outil de travail.

Nettoyez la tige de fixation de l’outil de travail après chaque changement d’outil.

Aspiration de poussières/de copeaux

fLes poussières de matériaux tels que peintures contenant du plomb, certains bois, minéraux ou métaux, peuvent être nuisibles à la santé. Toucher ou aspirer les poussières peut entraîner des réactions allergiques et/ou des maladies respiratoires auprès de l’utilisateur ou de personnes se trouvant à proximité.

Certaines poussières telles que les poussières de chêne ou de hêtre sont considérées cancérigènes, surtout en connexion avec des additifs pour le traitement de bois (chromate, lazure). Les matériaux contenant de l’amiante ne doivent être travaillés que par des personnes qualifiées.

–Veillez à bien aérer la zone de travail.

–Il est recommandé de porter un masque respiratoire de la classe de filtre P2.

Respectez les règlements en vigueur dans votre pays spécifiques aux matériaux à traiter.

Mise en marche

Mise en service

fTenez compte de la tension du réseau ! La tension de la source de courant doit coïncider avec les indications se trouvant sur la plaque signalétique de l’outil électroportatif. Les outils électroportatifs marqués 230 V peuvent également être mis en service sous 220 V.

Mise en Marche/Arrêt

Pour mettre en marche l’outil électroportatif, poussez l’interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 4 selon le nombre de courses souhaité en position « 1 »,

« 2 » ou « 3 ».

Pour arrêter l’outil électroportatif, poussez l’interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 4 en position « 0 ».

Présélection du nombre des courses

A l’aide de l’interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 4, vous pouvez sélectionner le nombre de courses nécessaire en trois niveaux. Poussez l’interrupteur Marche/Arrêt dans la position souhaitée.

Position 1 Nombre de courses réduit :

pour les travaux délicats exigeant de la précision

Position 2 Nombre de courses moyen

Position 3 Nombre de courses élevé : pour enlèvement rapide de matériau

Le nombre de courses dépend du matériau à travailler et des conditions de travail et peut être déterminée par des essais pratiques.

Commencez toujours d’abord avec le niveau le plus bas. Si l’enlèvement de matière est trop faible, passez au niveau suivant.

Instructions d’utilisation

fNe travaillez jamais vers le corps. Pendant les travaux, maintenez toute personne à l’écart de la zone de travail. Les outils de travail à bords tranchants constituent des risques d’accidents.

Fig. B : Maintenez l’outil électroportatif des deux mains, conformément à la figure, et ne mettez pas les mains à proximité immédiate de la zone de travail.

Amenez l’outil de travail contre la surface à enlever. Commencez avec un angle plat et avec une pression modérée sur la surface. Si la pression est trop élevée, la surface (p.ex. bois, mastic) peut être endommagée.

L’outil se met en mouvement à partir du moment où la pression exercée sur la surface à travailler est suffisante. Ceci permet un positionnement précis de l’outil de travail sur la surface à enlever.

Note : L’outil électroportatif et les outils de travail chauffent lors d’une utilisation prolongée. Ne surchargez pas l’outil électroportatif et lais- sez-le refroidir entre les différentes opérations de travail.

Outils recommandés

Le choix de l’outil de travail optimale (accessoire) dépend de l’utilisation et doit être déterminé par des essais sur la pièce à travailler respective.

Les outils de travail dont la lame est large sont appropriés au traitement de grandes surfaces, ceux dont la lame est étroite pour un traitement ponctuel (surtout aux endroits difficiles d’accès).

Les outils de travail au carbure bénéficient d’une durée de vie plus élevée que les outils de travail en acier.

Couteau

Les couteaux sont surtout appropriés pour travailler des surfaces dures (p.ex. béton). Les surfaces tendres (p.ex. bois) peuvent facilement être endommagées lors du travail avec des couteaux très acérés.

Applications possibles :

–Elimination de restes de colle de moquette, mousse de nettoyage de tapis ou de mousse durcie, de restes d’enduits, de plâtre ou de mortier ainsi que de restes de matériau de jointoiement.

–Lissage d’aspérités (p.ex. colle sur chape)

–Décollement de revêtements de sol (p.ex. moquette, PVC, liège)

Entretien et service après-vente

Nettoyage et entretien

fAvant d’effectuer des travaux sur l’outil électroportatif, retirez la fiche de la prise de courant.

fTenez toujours propres l’outil électroportatif ainsi que les ouïes de ventilation afin d’obtenir un travail impeccable et sûr.

Nettoyez les outils de travail après chaque utilisation. Enlevez les restes de colle et toute autre salissure.

Changement du capuchon de protection anti-poussière

Le capuchon de protection anti-poussière 3 empêche la pénétration de poussières et de salissures dans le porte-outil 2 et permet également d’arrêter le mouvement du couteau lorsque l’appareil fonctionne à vide.

Le capuchon de protection anti-poussière 3 peut s’user avec le temps. Remplacez aussitôt un capuchon de protection anti-poussière usé.

Pour remplacer le capuchon de protection antipoussière 3, introduisez un tournevis à fente d’une lame de 2 – 3 mm dans l’encoche du boîtier inférieur se trouvant derrière le capuchon de protection anti-poussière et retirez-le. Placez un nouveau capuchon de protection anti-pous- sière et bien le serrer.

Réaffûtage des outils en acier

Vous n’obtiendrez de bons résultats qu’avec des outils de travail parfaitement affûtés. Affûtez donc à temps les outils de travail en acier, ceci garantit une durée de vie prolongée des outils et de bons résultats de travail.

Réaffûtage sur ponceuse à bande :

Immobiliser la ponceuse à bande sur le dispositif d’utilisation à pos-

te fixe.

Retournez de 180 ° la spatule électrique,

conformément à la figure, avec l’outil en acier. Ne mettez pas en marche la spatule électrique.

Lors du ponçage, tenir compte du sens de rotation de la bande de ponçage.

Réaffûtage sur une ponceuse :

Retournez de 180 ° la spatule électrique, conformément à la figure,

avec l’outil en acier. Ne

mettez pas en marche la spatule électrique.

Veillez à ce que les lames des outils en acier ne présentent pas une couleur de revenu (teinte bleutée); ceci entraînerait une réduction de la dureté des outils de travail.

Si, malgré tous les soins apportés à la fabrication et au contrôle de l’appareil, celui-ci devait avoir un défaut, la réparation ne doit être confiée qu’à une station de service après-vente agréée pour outillage Bosch.

Instrucciones de seguridad

Advertencias de peligro generales para herramientas eléctricas

ADVERTENCIA Lea íntegramente estas advertencias de peligro e

instrucciones. En caso de no atenerse a las advertencias de peligro e instrucciones siguientes, ello puede ocasionar una descarga eléctrica, un incendio y/o lesión grave.

Guardar todas las advertencias de peligro e instrucciones para futuras consultas.

El término herramienta eléctrica empleado en las siguientes advertencias de peligro se refiere a herramientas eléctricas de conexión a la red (con cable de red) y a herramientas eléctricas accionadas por acumulador (o sea, sin cable de red).

1)Seguridad del puesto de trabajo

a)Mantenga limpio y bien iluminado su puesto de trabajo. El desorden o una iluminación deficiente en las áreas de trabajo pueden provocar accidentes.

b)No utilice la herramienta eléctrica en un entorno con peligro de explosión, en el que se encuentren combustibles líquidos, gases o material en polvo. Las herramientas eléctricas producen chispas que pueden llegar a inflamar los materiales en polvo o vapores.

c)Mantenga alejados a los niños y otras personas de su puesto de trabajo al emplear la herramienta eléctrica. Una distracción le puede hacer perder el control sobre la herramienta eléctrica.

2)Seguridad eléctrica

a)El enchufe de la herramienta eléctrica debe corresponder a la toma de corriente utilizada. No es admisible modificar el enchufe en forma alguna. No emplear adaptadores en herramientas eléctricas dotadas con una toma de tierra. Los enchufes sin modificar adecuados a las respectivas tomas de corriente reducen el riesgo de una descarga eléctrica.

b)Evite que su cuerpo toque partes conectadas a tierra como tuberías, radiadores, cocinas y refrigeradores. El riesgo a quedar expuesto a una sacudida eléctrica es mayor si su cuerpo tiene contacto con tierra.

c)No exponga la herramienta eléctrica a la lluvia y evite que penetren líquidos en su interior. Existe el peligro de recibir una descarga eléctrica si penetran ciertos líquidos en la herramienta eléctrica.

d)No utilice el cable de red para transportar o colgar la herramienta eléctrica, ni tire de él para sacar el enchufe de la toma de corriente. Mantenga el cable de red alejado del calor, aceite, esquinas cortantes o piezas móviles. Los cables de red dañados o enredados pueden provocar una descarga eléctrica.

e)Al trabajar con la herramienta eléctrica a la intemperie utilice solamente cables de prolongación apropiados para su uso en exteriores. La utilización de un cable de prolongación adecuado para su uso en exteriores reduce el riesgo de una descarga eléctrica.

f)Si fuese imprescindible utilizar la herramienta eléctrica en un entorno húmedo, es necesario conectarla a través de un fusible diferencial. La aplicación de un fusible diferencial reduce el riesgo a exponerse a una descarga eléctrica.

3)Seguridad de personas

a)Esté atento a lo que hace y emplee la herramienta eléctrica con prudencia. No utilice la herramienta eléctrica si estuviese cansado, ni tampoco después de haber consumido alcohol, drogas o medicamentos. El no estar atento durante el uso de la herramienta eléctrica puede provocarle serias lesiones.

b)Utilice un equipo de protección personal y en todo caso unas gafas de protección.

El riesgo a lesionarse se reduce considerablemente si, dependiendo del tipo y la aplicación de la herramienta eléctrica empleada, se utiliza un equipo de protección adecuado como una mascarilla antipolvo, zapatos de seguridad con suela antideslizante, casco, o protectores auditivos.
