Very high power handling and low distortion for
the woofer due to the Extended Pole design.
High power handling for the tweeter through the
use of Neodymium magnets and a circuit-breaker
type “poly-switch” that opens the circuit to the
tweeter if over- driven.
Resin-laminated woofer cones to maintain rigidity
and resistance to moisture.
Easy installation via multiple mounting systems
for the tweeter.
12 dB/Octave linear phase crossovers
Color and mechanically “keyed” wiring to ensure
proper phase and reliable connections.
High efficiency
EXTENDED POLE DESIGN
In a conventional flush type pole piece the
asymmetrical flux distribution through the voice coil
prevents linear motion throughout the voice coil
travel.
The EXP design creates a symmetric magnetic field
resulting in longer linear travel of the voice coil which
yields lower distortion. Also, there is additional
control at the excursion limits thus offering higher
power handling. The music can now play louder,
longer, and with less risk in burning out your
woofers.

The extended pole design offers a longer
symmetrical magnetic field compared to a
conventional flush type pole.
Because of the longer linear travel, power
handling and tonal quality are improved
dramatically.

We recommend you have your Blaupunkt speakers professionally installed but the installation
process is often so easy that the average consumer can make a successful installation with little
trouble. BUT, great care must be taken to ensure the safety of the installer and the vehicle. To
ensure such safety you should do the following:

READ THE MANUAL! Understand the product and installation before beginning.
WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES!
PROTECT THE VEHICLE! Always disconnect the negative battery cable before starting any
installation work. This prevents high current shorts (i.e., potential fires)
VERIFY AN UNOBSTRUCTED INSTALL! Before cutting any trim components or drilling
holes, make sure there are no electrical wires, fuel or fluid lines, or structural metal members
hidden from view.
DO
NOT LISTEN AT HIGH LEVELS FOR PROLONGED PERIODS OF TIME! If connected to
25 watt amplifiers or higher, most car speakers in this performance level can cause permanent
hearing loss if listened to over several hours at maximum power.
Before ripping apart the interior of your beautiful new car you need some basic installation
knowledge and skill with common hand and power tools.

TAKE CARE
IN DISASSEMBLING THE VEHICLE!
Every manufacturer uses slightly different
construction
mqthods.
Take special care in removing trim and door panels since they often
use unique screws or snap fasteners.
For most installations, simple hand tools are adequate if replacing the factory speakers. If the
factory locations are not used power tools for drilling and cutting will likely be needed. A good
starting list is the following:
Marking pen and starting punch
Tape measure or ruler
Phillips and flat blade screwdrivers (small and medium sizes)
Wire cutters, and wire strippers, and electrical tape
Standard size vice-style pliers and needle nosed pliers
Light duty trim type pry bar
Cutting shears or nibbling tool (for cutting metal)
Crimping pliers and appropriate crimp-on spade terminals
Power drill with appropriate
sized drill bits
