SAFETY FEATURES
POLARIZED PLUG (120V models only)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
TAM PER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped
with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
A short power-supply cord is provided to
1) reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
• A scraper may be used but only when the food chopper is not running.
• To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on base without first putting bowl properly in place.
• Be certain lid is locked securely in place before operating appliance.
• Do not open the appliance until blades stop.
• Do not attempt to defeat the lid interlock mechanism.
• Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Do not place bowls or lids in microwave or oven.
• Do not expose bowls to extreme temperature changes.
• Do not use bowls if they are cracked or chipped.
• Do not blend hot liquids.
• Never operate the appliance empty.
2) Longer detachable power cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
3) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,
a) The marked electrical rating of the
extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,
b) If the appliance is of the grounded
type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord, and
c) The longer cord should be arranged so
that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

HOW TO USE
This product is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
• Remove all packing material, any stickers from the product and the plastic band around the power plug
• Remove and save literature including this booklet
• Please visit www.prodprotect.com/applica to register your warranty
• Before using for the first time, wash the bowls, Infinium Blade™ cutting blade, and storage lids in warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. These parts are also dishwasher-safe recommended in the top rack. Do not
immerse the chopper top in water.

ASSEMBLING THE PREP & BLEND MULTI-CHOPPER
1. Slide the removable handle under the base of the bowl. Push to the top of the bowl to secure in place. (A)
2. Press the slip-resistant base/storage lid onto the bottom of the bowl. The slip-resistant base/ storage lid prevents the bowl from sliding while operating the chopper.
3. Carefully slide the cutting blade down over the post in the bottom of the bowl without touching the blade. (B) You may need to turn the blade slightly by rotating the shaft until it fits in place. (C)
CAUTION: Blade is extremely sharp. Handle carefully.
4. Align the top of the blade shaft with the opening on the chopper top. The spout shape of the chopper top will fit over the spout on the bowl. Make sure the chopper top is secure on the bowl to ensure operation of the motor. (D)

CHOPPING & BLENDING
1. Place food to be chopped or blended into the bowl around the blade. Note: You may need to cut some ingredients into smaller pieces to fit in
the bowl.
2. Assemble the chopper top onto the bowl as described in previous assembly instructions.
3. Plug the cord into a standard outlet
4. Rest your hand comfortably over the chopper top so that your fingers extend over the pulse HIGH/LOW button area. You may also rest your hand on top with fingers pointing back and use your thumb to control the pulse buttons. (E)
5. Press and release pulse buttons to begin chopping. One (1) Dot indicates Low Speed and two (2) Dots indicates High Speed.
Note: Avoid running the motor continuously for more than 1 minute. Note: For tougher items such as cheese, do not run the motor
continuously for more than 15 seconds.
6. Operation will stop when you release the pulse button. Be sure the blade stops spinning before removing the chopper top. Unplug the unit. Carefully remove the blade before transferring food into a serving dish. Use the handle and pour spout to serve liquid foods.
Important: Blade is removable. Do not pour out contents without removing the blade first.

CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user serviceable parts.
1. Wash the bowls, lids, and blade in soapy water after use. These parts are dishwasher safe, recommended top rack only.
2. Remove the detachable splash guard from the bottom of the chopper top. (F and G) Wash splash guard in soapy water or in the dishwasher.
3. Wipe the chopper top with a damp cloth or sponge. Do not immerse chopper top in water.
4. Blade is extremely sharp. Handle very carefully and store it in the plastic bowl.

STORAGE
1. Store chopped or blended food directly in the plastic bowls. Remove the slip-resistant base from the bottom of the bowl and use it as a storage lid.
Important: Remove blade before storing and serving prepared foods.
2. When the appliance is not in use, stack/nest one plastic bowl inside the other and place the chopper top on the top bowl, or store to the side. Store blade inside plastic bowl. (H)

OPERATING TIPS
WARNING: Do not operate the appliance while empty.
WARNING: Do not place the chopper bowl or lid in microwave oven. They are not microwave-safe.
This chopper has a 5-Cup dry capacity and 2-Cup liquid capacity. Do not fill above MAX for liquid foods. (J)
Some foods process best with smaller amounts. Larger amounts should be processed in small batches.
Pulsing for a few seconds at a time avoids over processing.
For coarsely chopped foods, use LOW speed and pulse for shorter times.
For blended foods or a finer texture, use the HIGH speed button and hold for longer times.
This unit is not intended to chop raw meat.

Use HIGH speed to mix together sour creams, yogurts and cream cheese. Use LOW speed to blend in additional chopped ingredients.

CAULIFLOWER MASH
1 medium cauliflower, cut into flowerettes (about 6 cups) 2 cups chicken broth 1 Tbsp. butter 2 cloves garlic 1 Tbsp. cream cheese ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Steam or cook cauliflower with chicken broth 10 min. or until fork tender. Drain well; pat dry.
Place cooked cauliflower, butter, garlic, cream cheese and Parmesan cheese into work bowl. Pulse 3-4 times. Continue mixing until creamy.
Makes 2 cups VARIATION: Substitute 3 strips cooked bacon crumbled and ¼ cup Shredded
Cheddar cheese for Parmesan cheese. Pulse 3-4 times or until mixed in.
HUMMUS
1 can (15 oz.) garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained 2 garlic cloves ¼ cup lemon juice 3 Tbsp. tahini (sesame paste) 1 roasted red pepper piece, cut into ½ -inch pieces 2 Tbsp. olive oil
½ tsp. salt ¼ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Pulse chop garbanzo beans and garlic 3-4 times or until coarsely chopped. Add remaining ingredients; process until creamy.
Makes 1 ¼ cup. Serving Suggestion:
Serve as a dip with raw vegetables or pita chips
Use in place of mayonnaise on bread, tortillas or pitas for a great sandwich spread
Serve as a condiment with grilled meats and poultry

MOCHA FRAPPE FOR TWO
1 cup strong coffee, chilled 1 cup milk 1 Tbsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. chocolate syrup 1 cup ice cubes (about 6) Whipped topping
Place all ingredients into bowl with blade. Blend on HIGH until smooth. Pour into glasses and top with whipped topping.
Yield: 2 ½ cups Makes 2 servings How to: To make strong coffee, use 2 Tbsp. ground coffee for each cup of
wa te r.
PESTO
1 cup pine nuts, toasted 2 oz. bulk Parmesan cheese, cut into pieces 1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves 1 clove garlic, crushed ¾ cup olive oil 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Place all ingredients in bowl. Pulse chop to desired consistency. Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week. Makes about 1 cup
Serving suggestions:
Toss with your favorite cooked pasta (tortellini, fettuccine, etc)
Use it as a sandwich spread
Drizzle it over cooked meats or vegetables
Substitute walnuts for pine nuts
Tip: To freeze small amounts of pesto, fill ice cube trays with pesto and freeze. Place frozen cubes into plastic freezer bags to create individual size portions.

ROASTED RED PEPPER DIP
1 jar (15 oz.) roasted red peppers, packed in water, drained ½ cup sour cream 1 (4 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 clove garlic
½ tsp. salt ¼ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Place all ingredients in bowl. Process on HIGH until smooth. Refrigerate 2 hours to allow flavors to blend. Serve with assorted raw vegetables or whole grain crackers. Makes about 1 ½ cups
SMOKEY SALMON SPREAD
2 pkgs. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened 3 Tbsp. lemon juice ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 Tbsp. milk 1 tsp. dill weed 1 clove garlic 2 pouches (7.1 oz) salmon 3-4 green onions, sliced 3-4 drops liquid smoke flavoring
Place cream cheese, lemon juice , Worcestershire sauce , milk dill weed and garlic in bowl. Mix on HIGH speed until creamy.
Add remaining ingredients and mix on LOW setting until thoroughly combined.
Cover and refrigerate several hours to allow flavors to blend. Makes about 3 ½ cups Tip: Serve as a spread with whole grain crackers, crostini or other crusty
breads.
