•Charge the unit before first use using the mains charging adapter for 24 hours.
Lead-acid batteries need to be kept fully charged and well maintained to ensure they continue to function properly. All batteries lose energy from self-discharge over time and more rapidly at higher temperatures. When the unit is not in use, manufacturer recommend that the battery is charged at least every 30 days.
•Check the battery charge level by pressing the battery status button. The battery status LED indicators will show the level of battery charge. When only one red LED lights, charge the unit.
•Make sure all other unit functions are turned off during recharging, as this can slow the recharging process.
Note:
Charging the battery after each use will prolong the battery life; frequent heavy discharges between charges and/or overcharging will reduce battery life.
Important!
When the battery is overly discharged and if the green LED is lit when the charger is plugged in, this indicates the battery is at a high impedance stage. In this event, recharge the unit for a period of 24 hours before use.
•Insert the jack of the mains charging adapter into the
charging socket on the back of the unit.
•Insert the mains charging adapter plug into a mains
power socket.
•Charge until the green battery status LED indicator
lights solid or flashes.
•Disconnect the mains charging adapter from the
mains power socket and then remove the plug of mains charging adapter from the charging socket on the back of the unit. Press the battery status button. If all 3 status lights illuminate, the unit is fully charged. Store the mains charging adapter in a safe place.
