3. Personal safety
a. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common
sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a
power tool while you are tired or under the inuence
of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention
while operating power tools may result in serious personal
injury.
b. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye
protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal
injuries.
c. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in
the off-position before connecting to power source
and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or
energising power tools that have the switch on invites
accidents.
d. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning
the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a
rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at
all times. This enables better control of the power tool in
unexpected situations.
f. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.
g. If devices are provided for the connection of dust

Intended use
Your Black & Decker multi-purpose tool has been designed for
a wide range of DIY applications.
Using the drill/screwdriver head, this tool is intended for
screwdriving applications and for drilling in wood, metal and
plastics.
Safety instructions
General power tool safety warnings

Warning! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions listed below may result in electric
shock, re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains
operated (corded) power tool or battery operated (cordless)
power tool.
1. Work area safety
a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark
areas invite accidents.
b. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of ammable liquids, gases
or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
c. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a
power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2. Electrical safety
a. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify
the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs

connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can
reduce dust-related hazards.
4. Power tool use and care
a. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power
tool for your application. The correct power tool will do
the job better and safer at the rate for which it was
designed.
b. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it
on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with
the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the
battery pack from the power tool before making any
adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power
tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the power tool accidentally.
d. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or
these instructions to operate the power tool. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e. Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the power tools
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained power tools.
f. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less
likely to bind and are easier to control.
g. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in
accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power tool for operations different
from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5. Battery tool use and care
a. Recharge only with the charger specied by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of
battery pack may create a risk of re when used with
another battery pack.
b. Use power tools only with specically designated
battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create
a risk of injury and re.
c. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws, or other small metal objects, that can
make a connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns
or a re.
d. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
6. Service
a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair
person using only identical replacement parts. This
will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

u Wear ear protectors with impact drills. Exposure to
noise can cause hearing loss.
u Use auxiliary handles supplied with the tool. Loss of

may contact hidden wiring. Cutting accessory contacting
a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the power
tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock

may be hot.

have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not

u Injuries caused by touching any rotating/moving parts.
u Injuries caused when changing any parts, blades or ac-
cessories.
u Injuries caused by prolonged use of a tool. When using
any tool for prolonged periods ensure you take regular
breaks.
u Impairment of hearing.
u Health hazards caused by breathing dust developed when
using your tool (example:- working with wood, especially
oak, beech and MDF.)

Electrical safety
#
Your charger is double insulated; therefore no
earth wire is required. Always check that the
mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the
rating plate. Never attempt to replace the charger
unit with a regular mains plug.
u If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or an authorised Black & Decker Service
Centre in order to avoid a hazard.

Safety Warnings and Instructions
Warning! Shock hazard. When drilling or drving into walls,
oors or wherever live electrical wires may be encountered,
DO NOT TOUCH ANY METAL PARTS OF THE TOOL! Hold
the tool only by the plastic handle(s) / housing to prevent
shock.
u Do not lock the tool ON when drilling by hand. Refer to
Operating Instructions-Switching On and Off.
u Hold drill rmly with both hands to control the twisting ac-
tion of the drill. If your drill is equipped with a side handle,
always use the side handle.
Warning! Drill may stall (if overloaded or improperly used)
causing a twist. Always expectthe stall. Grip the drill rmly to
control the twisting action and prevent loss of control which
could cause personal injury. If a stall does occur, release the
trigger immediately and determine the reason for the stall
before re-starting.
u Always unplug the drill when attaching or removing ac-
cessories. When attaching accessories in the drill chuck,
hand tighten the keyless chuck rmly.

Operating Instructions
Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury,
read, understand and follow all safety warnings and instructions prior to using tool.
Warning! It is important to support the work properly and
to hold the drill rmly to prevent loss of control which
could cause personal injury.
Warning! Do not attempt to tighten drill bits (or any other
accessory) by gripping the front part of the chuck and
turning the tool on. Damage to the chuck and personal injury
may occur when changing accessories.
Warning! To reduce the risk of injury, always unplug drill
from power supply before making any adjustments or changing accessories.
Warning! To reduce the risk of injury, let the tool work at its
own pace. Do not overload.
Operating: Power Unit
Trigger Switch & Forward/Reverse Slider
The forward/reverse slider (1) is used to control the direction
the chuck (6) spin - foward to drive scres, reverse to remove
screws. It is located above the variable speed trigger (2). To
reverse the motor, release the trigger FIRST, then push the
slider to the right hand side of the tool when viewing from the
rear. After any reversing operations, return lever to the forward

position. Never change the direction of rotation while the
motor is running.
u The Power Unit is turned ON and OFF by pulling and
releasing the trigger. The farther the trigger is depressed,
the higher the speed of the Power Unit.
u A forward/reverse control slider determines the direction of
the tool.
u To select forward rotation, release the trigger switch and
depress the forward/reverse control button to the left.
u To select reverse, depress the forward/reverse control
button to the right.
Note: When changing the position of the control button, be
sure the trigger is released.
Installing And Removing Tool Attachments (g. C)
Warning! Shock hazard. Under no circumstances should
this product be used near water.
Warning! Burn hazard. Moving parts within the Power Unit
become hot during use. Avoid contact with moving parts within
Power Unit when removing and installing accessories.
Warning! : To reduce the risk of injury, turn off and unplug
the tool before making any adjustments or removing or
installing attachments or accessories. Remove any accessory
from the tool attachment before removing or installing the
attachment.
Warning! To reduce the risk of injury, do not place ngers
or any other object inside the Power Unit, other than the attachments designed to work with the Power Unit.
u To remove an attachment, depress the release button (3)
and take the attachment off the tool.
u To t an attachment, line it up with the tool as shown and
pushit onto the Power Unit until it snaps into place and an
audible click is heard.
u Ensure attachment is securely attached by gently pulling it
away from the Power Unit.
Note: Only use attachments that are specically designed for
and compatible with the Power Unit.
Note: Refer to individual attachment instruction manuals for
specic safety warnings and operating instructions before
operating attachments with the Power Unit.
Operating: Drill/Screwdriver Attachment
Fitting And Removing A Drill Bit Or Screwdriver Bit
The drill/screwdriver attachment (5) is tted with a keyless
chuck (6) to allow for an easy exchange of bits.
u Unplug the Power Unit before installing or removing at-
tachments.
u Open the chuck by turning the front part clockwise with
one hand while holding the rear part with the other.
u Insert the bit shaft into the chuck.
u Firmly tighten the chuck by turning the front part counter-
clockwise.
u To remove the screwdriver bit from the holder, lift the bit
from the recess.
u To store the screwdriver bit, rmly push it into the holder
(4).
Screw Driving
u Always use the correct type and size of screwdriver bit.
u If screws are difcult to tighten, try applying a small
amount of washing liquid or soap as a lubricant.
u Always hold the tool and screwdriver bit in a straight line
with the screw.
u For driving fasteners, the reversing button should be
pushed to the left. Use reverse (button pushed to the right)
for removing fasteners. When moving from forward to
reverse, or vice versa, always release the trigger switch
rst.
Keyless Chuck (g. D)
Warning! Make certain the Power Unit is unplugged to
prevent switch actuation before installing or removing attachments.
Warning! Do not attempt to tighten or loosen drill bits (or any
other accessory) by gripping the front part of the chuck and
turning the tool on. Damage to the chuck and personal injury
may occur when changing accessories.
To insert a drill bit or other accessory:
u Grasp the rear half of the chuck (6) with one hand and use
your other hand to rotate the front half in the counterclockwise direction, as viewed from the chuck end.
u Insert the bit or other accessory fully into the chuck, and
tighten securely by holding the rear half of the chuck and
rotating the front portion in the clockwise direction as
viewed from the chuck end.
Torque Control (g. E)
This tool is tted with a torque adjustment collar (7) to select
the operating mode and to set the torque for tightening
screws. Large screws and hard workpiece materials require
a higher torque setting than small screws and soft workpiece
materials.
u For drilling in wood, metal and plastics, set the collar to
the drilling position symbol .
u For screwdriving, set the collar to the desired setting. If
you donot yet know the appropriate setting, proceed as
follows:
- Set the collar to the lowest torque setting.
- Tighten the rst screw.
- If the clutch ratchets before the desired result is
achieved, increase the collar setting and continue
tightening the screw. Repeat until you reach the correct
setting. Use this setting for the remaining screws.

On-Board Bit Storage
A bit storage slot (4) is built-in to the handle of the Power Unit
for easy bit storage and access.
Drilling
u Use sharp drill bits only.
u Support and secure work properly, as instructed in the
Safety Instructions.
u Use appropriate and required safety equipment, as
instructed in the Safety Instructions.
u Secure and maintain work area, as instructed in the Safety
Instructions.
u Run the drill very slowly, using light pressure, until the hole
is started enough to keep the drill bit from slipping out of it.
u Apply pressure in a straight line with the bit. Use enough
pressure to keep the bit biting but not so much as to stall
the motor or deect the bit.
u Hold the drill rmly with two hands to control its twist-
ing action.
u DO NOT CLICK THE TRIGGER OF A STALLED DRILL
OFF AND ON IN AN ATTEMPT TO START IT. DAMAGE
TO THE DRILL CAN RESULT.
u Minimize stalling on breakthrough by reducing pressure
and slowly drilling through the last part of the hole.
u Keep the motor running while pulling the bit out of a drilled
hole. This will help reduce jamming.
u Make sure switch turns drill on and off.
Drilling In Wood
Holes in wood can be made with the same twist drill bits used
for metal or with spade bits. These bits should be sharp and
should be pulled out frequently when drilling to clear chips
from the utes.
Drilling In Metal
Use a cutting lubricant when drilling metals. The exceptions
are cast iron and brass which should be drilled dry. The cutting
lubricants that work best are sulfurized cutting oil or lard oil.
Accessories
The performance of your tool depends on the accessory used.
Black & Decker and Piranha accessories are engineered to
high quality standards and designed to enhance the performance of your tool. By using these accessories you will get the
very best from your tool.
Maintenance
Your Black & Decker corded/cordless appliance/tool has been
designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum
of maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends
upon proper tool care and regular cleaning.
Warning! Before performing any maintenance on corded/
cordless power tools:
u Switch off and unplug the appliance/tool.
u Or switch off and remove the battery from the appliance/
tool if the appliance/tool has a separate battery pack.
u Or run the battery down completely if it is integral and then
switch off.
u Unplug the charger before cleaning it. Your charger does
not require any maintenance apart from regular cleaning.
u Regularly clean the ventilation slots in your appliance/tool/
charger using a soft brush or dry cloth.
u Regularly clean the motor housing using a damp cloth. Do
not use any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner.
u Regularly open the chuck and tap it to remove any dust
from the interior (when tted).
Protecting the environment

Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you nd one day that your Black & Decker product
needs replacement, or if it is of no further use to you, do not
dispose of it with household waste. Make this product available for separate collection.

Separate collection of used products and packaging allows materials to be recycled and used again.
Re-use of recycled materials helps prevent
environmental pollution and reduces the demand
for raw materials.
Local regulations may provide for separate collection of electrical products from the household, at municipal waste sites or

安全警告及指示
警告！觸電危險。在牆上、地板或可能會遇到帶電
電線的地方鑽孔或打洞時，不要接觸工具的金屬部
分！僅握住工具的塑膠手柄／外殼以防觸電。
u 用手動鑽孔時,請不要啟動工具。請參閱說明
書——操作:電動工具。
u 使用雙手緊握電鑽以控制電鑽的旋轉動作。如果
您的電鑽配有側手柄一定要使用它。
警告！電鑽可能失速（如果過載或不當使用）而導
致扭曲。一定要有失速的心理準備。緊握電鑽以控
制旋轉動作，並預防可能會造成人身傷害的失控。
如果真的發生失速，立即鬆開開關並在重新啟動之
前確定失速原因。
u 安裝或卸下配件時一定要拔下電鑽插頭。在電鑽
夾頭安裝配件時，用手扭緊快速夾頭。

操作說明書

操作：電動工具
觸發開關和正／反轉開關
正／反轉開關 (1) 用來控制夾頭的方向 (6) 旋轉——正
轉以鎖緊螺釘，反轉以卸下螺釘。它位於變速開關
的上方 (2)。為了讓電動機反轉，首先鬆開開關，然後
在看到電動機後面時把開關推向工具的右側。完成
所有反轉操作後，把手桿回復到正轉位置。當電動
機運行時，請勿變更旋轉方向。
u 拉動和鬆開開關來開啟和關閉電動工具。您愈
用力擠壓開關，電動工具便會以愈快的速度運
轉。
u 正反轉控制開關確定工具的方向。
u 若要選擇正轉，請鬆開變速開關，然後按下正／
反轉控制按鈕並移向左側。
u 若要選擇反轉，請按下正／反轉控制按鈕並移向
右側。
注意：要改變控制按鈕的位置時，請確定開關已經
鬆開。
安裝和卸下工具附件（圖 C）
警告！觸電危險。使用本產品絕對不可接近水。
警告！燒傷危險。電動工具的活動部件在使用過程
中會變熱。卸下和安裝配件時避免接觸電動工具的
活動部件。
警告！:為了降低受傷的風險，在進行任何調整或卸
下或安裝附件或配件之前，關閉工具並拔下插頭。
卸下或安裝附件之前，卸下工具附件的所有配件。
警告！為了降低受傷的風險，不要將手指或其他任
何物件放進電動工具，除了專為電動工具所設計的
附件以外。
u 為卸下附件，按下釋放按鈕 (3) 並取下工具的鑽
頭。
u 為安裝鑽頭，將它與如圖所示的工具對齊，並
將其推進電動工具，直到卡入定位並聽到卡嗒
聲為止。
u 將鑽頭從電動工具中輕輕拉出以確定其安裝牢
固。
注意：只使用專為電動工具設計並與其相容的附件。
注意：操作電動工具附件之前，有關特殊安全警告
和操作說明，請參閱個別附件使用手冊。
操作：電鑽／電鑽起子附件
安裝和卸下鑽頭或電鑽起子頭
電鑽／電鑽起子附件 (5) 配備無鎖匙夾頭 (6) 允許輕
鬆安裝鑽頭。
u 安裝或卸下附件之前，請先拔下電動工具的插
頭。
u 用一隻手握住後面部分，然後用另一隻手順時針
轉動前面部分以打開夾頭。
u 將鑽頭軸插入夾頭。
u 逆時針轉動前面部分以緊固夾頭。
u 若要從起子頭固定器上卸下電鑽起子頭，請從凹
槽提起起子頭。
u 若要存放電鑽起子頭，請穩固地將它推到固定器
中 (4)。

u 始終使用正確類型和尺寸的電鑽起子頭。
u 如果螺釘難以鎖緊，請嘗試用小量洗滌液或肥皂
作為潤滑劑。
u 始終使工具和電鑽起子頭與螺釘成一直線。
u 為了鑽入扣件，應將反轉按鈕推向左側。使用反
轉以卸下扣件（往右側推的按鈕）。由正轉向反
轉卸下時，一定要先鬆開觸發開關，反之亦然。
快速夾頭（圖 D）
警告！安裝或卸下附件之前，確定電動工具的插頭
未接上以防止開關啟動。
警告！不要試圖以握住夾頭的前面部分並啟動工具
來扭緊或鬆開鑽頭（或其他任何配件）。更換配件
可能會發生夾頭損壞和人身傷害。
插入鑽頭或其他配件：
u 以一隻手握住夾頭的後半部 (6) 並使用另一隻手
以逆時針方向旋轉前半部，直到看見夾頭末端
為止。
u 將鑽頭或其他配件完全插入夾頭，握住夾頭後半
部並以順時針方向旋轉前半部，直到看見夾頭末
端為止，如此便可牢固地將其扭緊。
扭矩控制（圖 E）
本工具備有扭矩調整環 (7)，為扭緊螺釘選擇操作模
式並設定扭矩。大螺釘和堅硬工件材料，比小螺釘
和柔軟工件材料需要更高的扭力設定。
u 為了在木材、金屬和塑膠上鑽孔，請將調整環設
定到鑽孔位置符號 。
u 若要執行螺旋操作，請將調整環設定到所需設
定。若您尚未知道應用設定，請執行下列操作：
- 將調整環設定到最低的扭矩設定。
- 鎖緊第一顆螺釘。
- 如果在達到預期的扭矩值之前離合器已鎖緊，
請提高調整環設定並繼續鎖緊螺釘。重復直到
您達到正確設定為止。對其餘螺釘使用此設
定。
上架鑽頭儲存裝置
為了讓鑽頭便於儲存和存取，鑽頭儲存槽 (4) 以內建
方式來處理電動工具。
鑽孔
u 只使用鋒利的鑽頭。
u 依照安全指示，適當地支撐和固定工件。
u 依照安全指示，使用適當和所需的安全設備。
u 依照安全指示，固定和維護工作場地。
u 慢慢地讓電鑽運轉，輕輕地施壓，直到所鑽的洞
足以讓鑽頭滑出為止。
u 以與鑽頭成一直線的方式施加壓力。使用足夠的
壓力讓鑽頭持續穿透，但不要太用力以致讓電動
機失速或鑽頭偏斜。
u 兩手緊緊握住電鑽以控制其旋轉動作。
u 不要按下又鬆開失速電鑽的開關以試圖啟動它。
會導致電鑽損壞。
u 減輕壓力並慢慢鑽過洞的底部，以便將失速穿透
的可能性降至最低。
u 將鑽頭從已鑽好的洞拔出時，讓電動機保持運
轉。這將有助於降低卡住的可能性。
u 確定開關可以將電鑽啟動和關閉。
在木材上鑽孔
以用於金屬的同一螺旋鑽頭或扁鑽頭，可在木材上
鑽洞。這些鑽頭應該很鋒利，且在鑽入凹槽的明顯
碎片時應該頻繁地拔出。
在金屬上鑽孔
在金屬上鑽孔時使用切削潤滑劑。鑄鐵和黃銅是例
外，它們應保持乾燥而直接鑽孔。效果最佳的切削
潤滑劑，是硫化切削油或豬油。
配件
工具效能視所使用的配件而定。Black & Decker 和 Pira-
nha 配件依據高品質標準進行規劃，並設計用於增強
電動工具的效能。透過使用這些配件，您將可以獲
得工具的最佳效能。
維護
您的插電／充電式器具／工具採用卓越的設計，能
夠長時間使用，並且只需最少的維護。若要持續獲
得滿意的操作效果，需進行正確的工具維護和定期
的清潔。
警告！在插電／充電式電動工具上執行任何維護工
作之前：
u 請關閉電源並拔下器具／工具的插頭。
u 或者，若器具／工具使用獨立電池組，請關閉電
源並將電池從器具／工具卸下。
u 或者，若電池屬於內建電池，請使電池完全放
電，然後再關閉電源。
u 清潔之前請拔下充電器的插頭。您的充電器除了
定期清潔之外，並不需要執行任何維護操作。
u 請定期使用軟刷或軟布清潔器具／工具／充電器
內的通風槽。
u 請定期使用濕布清潔電動機外殼。請勿使用任何
研磨性或基於溶劑的清潔劑。
u 請定期打開夾頭並輕敲以清除內部的任何塵埃
（如安裝）。
