UEFI BIOS Setup
Introduction
The purpose of this manual is to describe the settings in the AMI UEFI BIOS Setup
program on this motherboard. T he S etup program allows users to modify the basic
system configuration and save these settings to NVRAM.
UEFI BIOS determines what a computer can do without accessing programs from a
disk. This sys t em co ntrols most of the input and output d ev ices s uch as ke ybo a rd,
mouse, s erial ports and dis k drives. BIOS act ivates at the first stage of the booting
process, lo ad ing and executing the op era t ing system. Some add itional featu res, such
as vir us and pass word p rotectio n or chipset fine-tuning op tions are also inc lud ed in
UEFI BIOS.
The rest of this manual will to guide you through the options and settings in UEFI
BIOS Setup.
