Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your hotplate stirrer.
In order to ensure the safe operation of the equipment, please read this manual in its entirety
before use.

Installation
Place the Digital Hotplate Stirrer on a fl at, level surface, with at least a 4 inch (10 cm)
clearance on all sides. Attach provided power cord to rear of unit and plug into a grounded
outlet of appropriate voltage.
Warning! Do not store or operate this instrument near a sink or water source as
contact with water could cause electrical shock.
Warning! The outlet voltage must match the voltage listed on the label on rear of
instrument. Failure to supply appropriate power may damage instrument and void
the warranty.
Note: Place the instrument so that the power cord is readily accessible and can be pulled
out of the electrical outlet easily.

Control Panel
A) Hot surface indicator light:
illuminates when instrument is
powered on and the surface
temperature is above 50°C.
B) LCD Display: top line displays
the stir speed in RPM. Bottom line
displays the temperature in degrees
Celsius. At right, a symbol shows
the on/off state of the stir and heat
functions.
C) Temperature selection keys: increase or decrease the set point.
D) Selection knob (dial and button): press the button to start/stop the heat and stir
functions. Rotate the dial to adjust stir bar speed (rpm).

Operation
•
Power on the instrument by setting the power switch (rear of instrument) to the “I” position
• Set the stir speed by turning the dial. The stir speed will appear at the top of the LCD
display. To operate without stirring, set the stir speed to zero and turn the dial
counterclockwise until the stirring stops
Set temperature by using the up ▲ and down ▼ keys below the display. The temperature

you set will appear at the bottom of the display. To operate without heating, set
temperature to zero
• Once the desired stir speed and temperature are set, press the selection knob to
begin stirring and heating. The stir speed and temperature will begin to adjust to the set
parameters

• To clean the body and surface plate of the instrument, unplug the unit and allow the
instrument to completely cool to room temperature. When the unit has cooled, use
a lint-free rag to wipe down all surfaces

Do not immerse in water or spray cleaner directly on the instrument.
