SAFETY MEASURES
When using your appliance, the following basic
safety precautions should always be followed: Before using for the first time, check that the appli-
ance voltage is the same as your local supply.
Only use the appliance for the purposes stipulated
by the instructions.
To avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the appliance, plug
or power cord in water or any other liquids. Do not place
the appliance where it could come into contact with water or other liquids. If the appliance comes in contact with water, immediately disconnect it from the mains. Do not use the machine again until it has been serviced by an authorized service center.
Do not let children use the appliance without supervision.
If the power cord plug does not fit to your wall socket,
consult a qualified electrician.
Use of various adapters may result in damage to the
appliance and termination of warranty.
Always supervise the equipment while in use.To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate any other high voltage
equipment on the same circuit.
Always unplug before moving the appliance from one
place to another, cleaning and storing.
Never pull the cord to disconnect the appliance, instead grasp the
plug and pull it to disconnect.
Do not allow the cord or the machine itself to come in contact with
hot surfaces.
Position the appliance and the cord so that nobody can acciden-
tally overturn it.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, or it has a dam-
aged power cord or plug. Do not modify or repair the machine yourself.
Do not dismantle the appliance as improper assembly might result
in an electric shock during the subsequent use of the equipment.
Repairs should only be done by authorized service centers.
Do not use the device in areas where combustible gas mixtures or
inflammable liquid vapors could present in the air, or in areas with inflammable air-borne dust or fibers.
This equipment is intended for household use only, not for com-
mercial or industrial use.
Please follow all the requirements of this guideDo not use the appliance if it has mechanical defects (dents, cracks
etc.), get it checked by the nearest authorized service center.
Only use attachments supplied with the equipment.
IMPORTANT SAFETY
MEASURES
Make sure that the water level is between the mini-
mum and maximum level before turning the kettle on. Do not overfill the kettle; otherwise it can overflow while boiling. Please, remember that the minimum water level should be higher than the minimum allowed level.
Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.
Do not touch the outer surfaces of the kettle with the exception of the heat insulated handle, when water is boiling or with hot water inside the device.
Allow kettle to cool prior to cleaning and storing.Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before stor-
age, filling it with water/emptying it or moving it from one place to another.
The appliance should always be placed on and used on a heat
resistant, horizontal and dry surface.
To avoid being burnt by hot vapor always close the lid tightly be-
fore use. Avoid exposure to hot vapor. WARNING! Never open
the lid immediately before or after boiling temperature is reached.
The kettle is protected against overheating and if switched on with-
out water, an automatic safety cut out device will switch it off. If the safety device is activated, allow the kettle to cool down prior to boiling water in it. The kettle will not switch on if it’s too hot.
WARNING! Frequent switching the kettle on without water might result in the safety device failure, that is why prior to switching the kettle on always check the water level. Always make sure the water level in the kettle is not too low.
Always switch the kettle off prior to lifting it from the base.Use the kettle only with the supplied base.Do not fill a hot kettle with cold water or vice versa. WARNING!
Avoid sharp temperature fluctuations when filling the kettle with water.
Connect the device only to an electrical supply with a protective
earthing. If your socket has no protective earthing, contact a qualified specialist. Do not modify the plug and do not use cord adapters. WARNING! Electric shocks might occur if the kettle is
plugged into an unearthed power supply.
Clean the heating element of the kettle often to de-scale it. Re-
member that use of a heavily scaled kettle might result in its malfunction. WARNING! De-scale the kettle using only spe-
cially designed cleaning agents.
Before turning the kettle on, make sure that the lid is closed; other-
wise the kettle will not turn off after boiling.
After use of the appliance, the base of the kettle might be wet. It is
a normal condition of operation, caused by escaping steam, used to activate the kettle’s automatic turning off function.
Do not tilt the filled kettle backwards, since water can spill through
the steam vent. If this happens, the kettle should be wiped before turning it on.
ENGLISH

BEFORE USE
Remove all packing materials from appliance;
make sure that there are no foreign items in it.
Wash internal surface of kettle with warm soapy water, rinse carefully and wipe dry. In case of unusual odor fill the kettle up to a maximum level with vinegar solution (1 element of 9 % vinegar
an hour. Then wash out the kettle with tap water, boil water in the kettle and pour it out.
per 20 elements of water), let the kettle soak for
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Place the kettle with power base on dry horizontal surface.
2. Lift the kettle off the base (7), open the lid (2) and fill the kettle with water.
Note: The kettle lid can be fixed in the vertical position for your convenience. To
open the lid push the lid button slightly to fix it (see Fig. B).
3. Make sure the water level stays between the minimum and the
maximum marks on the water gauge (4). Do not switch on an empty kettle.
4. Close the lid (2) and replace the kettle on the base (7).
5. Plug to AC outlet with the voltage corresponded to the information on the product label.
6. Switch the kettle on by the on/off switch (5). The indicator light will go on showing that the water is being boiled.
7. When the water has boiled the appliance will switch off automatically. Disconnect the kettle from the outlet. You may also manually switch the kettle off before the boiling process is complete using the on/off switch (5).
8. When pouring water from the kettle tilt it slightly and gradually. Do not forget it holds hot water inside.
9. If the water-cools down, and you wish to boil it or heat it again, just switch the kettle on again.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the kettle and wait until it cools down completely before cleaning or storing.
2. In order to avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the kettle’s housing (1), its base (7) and electric cord into water. These components of the device can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth without any cleansers.
3. In order to clean the filter (3) remove it and wash with running
water. The filter needs to be washed irrespective of scale formation on it.
4. Refit all the parts when they are completely dry.
USEFUL RECOMMENDATIONS
It is necessary to remove the scale from the kettle on a regular basis especially in areas with high water hardness as this will keep it in working order. Excessive scale build-up can result in the malfunction of you’re appliance. The frequency of scale cleaning depends on the level of water hardness and on the frequency of the use of the kettle (for example, one clean-
ing after 200 times use). If your water has a high level of hardness, our advice is to use a water filter, as that will decrease the scale build-up.
2 methods to remove scale:
1. Using 9% white vinegar:
– Fill the kettle with 0.5 liter of hot water and add 2 table-spoons
of 9% white vinegar. – Let the kettle soak for 1 hour without boiling. – Stir the liquid in the kettle from time to time. – Pour out the liquid and wash it out 2-3 times with cold clean
water.
2. Using citric acid:
– Mix 25 g of citric acid with 0.5 liter of hot water in the kettle. – Let it soak for 15 minutes. – Stir the water from time to time. – Pour out the liquid and wash it out 2-3 times with cold clean
water. – Repeat the procedure again if required. All other maintenance works should be performed at an autho-
rized service center.
Do not store the kettle whilst hot or plugged to the mains. If you
don’t intend using the kettle again store it when it has cooled down. Always store it in a box in a safe, dry place out of reach of children.
