4 Safety instructions
• Read all instructions.
• Ensure that the power cord never gets wet or moist during operation. Route the cable so that it cannot be pinched or otherwise damaged. Do not leave it dangling from the working surface. Should the power cord or the power plug be damaged, have them replaced by the Service before using the device again.
• Pull the plug from the socket when you do not use the device, before changing the attachments and before cleaning the device. Merely switching off is not sufficient since mains power is still connected to the device for as long as the power plug is inserted in the socket. In this way you will also prevent inadvertent switching on of the device.
• Do not allow children and frail persons to handle the device without supervision – since they might not always be able to properly judge possible dangers.
• Use only the supplied original accessories since these have been optimised for interaction with the device. Other parts might not be sufficiently safe either.
• Never switch on the device without there being ingredients in the vessels. Overheating hazard!
• The cutting edges are very sharp! Exercise special care when inserting and removing or cleaning the cutting blade!
• Keep hands and utensils away from moving blades or discs while processing food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food processor.
• Do not attempt to defeat the lid interlock mechanism.
5 Start-up
• Before starting the device ensure that ...
- the device and all accessories and the power plug and the power cord are in perfect condition and ...
- all packaging materials have been removed from the device.
• Prior to initial use clean all device components as described in the “Cleaning” chapter.
• Assemble the food processor and note that…
- the mixing bowl works only when the cover for the motor block, the mixing bowl and the lid for the mixing bowl have been properly fitted and engaged.
- the blender works only when the blender jug and the blender lid have been correctly fitted and engaged.
- when blender jug, mixer lid, mixing bowl and the lid of the mixing bowl have been fitted, only the blender will work.

6 Assembling the
food processor
Fitting the mixing bowl
• Place the cover on the motor block and turn anti-clockwise until it is seated tightly.
• Fit the mixing bowl. Hold the bowl by the handle and turn clockwise until it engages with a “click”.
Fitting the lid
Note: Always ensure that the lid is properly
engaged before switching on the device!
• Fit the lid on the mixing bowl so that the recesses of the lid match the slots of the bowl.
• Turn the lid clockwise until it engages with a “click”. The marks on the lid and the bowl must match. The lug of the lid now rests on the handle of the bowl.
Fitting the filling shaft and pusher
Caution: Never use your fingers, spatula,
spoon handles or similar objects for pushing foodstuff through the filling shaft!
• You can add liquid and solid food to the mixing bowl through the filling shaft. Use the pusher to close-up the filling shaft during operation to avoid splashing or dust from escaping (e.g. when processing flour).
• Use the pusher to force foodstuff through the filling shaft.
• The pusher is equipped with a measuring cup. If you remove it you can reduce size of the filling shaft. This can be useful when cutting or grating relative small food.
7 Working with the mixing bowl
The supplied accessories for the mixing bowl consist of 6 grating and cutting discs, a kneading blade and a chopping blade for versatile use of the mixing bowl: Grating or cutting, mixing or cutting, kneading or stirring.
7.1 Working with the cutting blade
Caution:
The cutting edges are very sharp! Exercise special care when inserting and removing or cleaning the cutting blade! The bowl must first be properly locked in position before inserting the cutting blade. Risk of injury! Never use your fingers, spatula, spoon handles or similar objects for pushing foodstuff through the filling shaft!
The cutting blade can be use to mix, chop or kneading dough. For instance for chopping meat, cheese, onions, herbs and nuts.
• Remove the cutting blade from the protective case.
• Fit the mixing bowl to the food processor.
• Fit the cutting blade on the retainer and place the latter on the drive shaft.
• Add the ingredients to the mixing bowl. Fit the lid to the bowl and insert the pusher in the filling shaft. Switch on the device by setting
the speed controller to the speed recommended in the table. If you are uncertain which speed should be used, use the fastest speed (3).
Hints:
• Cut the ingredients in approximately 3 cm large pieces before placing them in the bowl.
• The device chops the ingredients very fast so that you should only run it very briefly at a time.
• Do not operate the device for longer than 30 seconds.
• Should ingredients be trapped in the bowl or on the cutting blade:
- Switch off the device
- Remove the lid from the mixing bowl
- Remove the ingredients with a dough scraper / spatula.

7.2 Working with the cutting and grating discs
Caution: The cutting edges are very sharp!
Be particularly careful when inserting and removing or cleaning the discs! Never use your fingers, spatula, spoon handles or similar objects for pushing foodstuff through the filling shaft!
With the cutting and grating discs you can quickly slice or grate ingredients. The special chip disc allows you to quickly prepare homemade chips. With the potato pancake disc you can grate raw potatoes for the dough but also grate other vegetables or fruit finely.
• Fit the mixing bowl on the food processor.
S Select the appropriate
disc. Insert the disc with the guide edge (the side without marking) in the disc holder.
• Push the other side (marked with two circles at the corners) down until the disc engages with a “click”.
• Fit the retainer to the drive shaft. Insert thumb and index finger in the holes of the disc holder and place it on the retainer.
• Place the lid on the bowl.
• You can now fill ingredients through the filling shaft.
• For cutting and grating set the speed controller to speed 3 (maximum
speed). Should you wish to process soft fruit or vegetables you can also select a lower speed. Slowly and gradually push the ingredients in the filling shaft using the pusher.
• To remove the disc from the disc holder, remove the disc from the disc holder by pushing on the marked side in an upward direction.
Hints:
• Cut the food into pieces so that they fit through the filling shaft.
• Fill the filling shaft evenly and do not exert excessive pressure.
• If you wish to process large quantities of food do it in small batches and empty the mixing bowl in-between.
7.3 Working with the kneading blade
With the kneading blade you can knead bread dough and mix batter or cake mixture.
• Place the mixing bowl on the food processor.
• Place the kneading blade on the retainer and fit on the drive shaft.
• Add the ingredients to the mixing bowl.
• Place the lid on the bowl and the pusher in the filling shaft. Set the speed controller to the speed recommended in the Table.
Hints:
• Put liquid ingredients into the bowl last and start mixing at low speed to avoid splashing.
• Never fill the mixing bowl above the MAX. mark (1.5l).
• For mixing “water like” liquids only use the speed 1 with volume less than 1 l to avoid liquid spilling out.
8 Working with the blender
Caution
• Never switch on the blender when empty.
• Never insert the plug in the socket before the blender jug and the blender lid have been correctly assembled.
• Always pull the plug from the socket before removing the blender jug.
• Do not fill ingredients hotter than 80°C in the blender jug.
• To avoid splashing, never add more than
1.5l of liquid in the blender jug.
• Never remove the blender lid during operation.
• First remove the blender lid before removing the blender jug.
• Never run the blender continuously for more than 3 minutes.
You can use the blender to finely puree and mix ingredients. You can use the blender for preparing soups, sauces, milkshakes, baby food or process vegetables and fruit into a puree.
• First remove the cover for the motor block by turning it clockwise.

Page 6
• Place the blender jug in the opening and turn it anti-clockwise until seated tightly.
• Place the lid on the blender jug and turn it anti-clockwise until seated tightly.
• Fill the ingredients in the blender jug. Cut them into smaller pieces beforehand if required.
• If required, insert the splash protection cap and turn it anti-clockwise to secure.
• Switch on the blender by setting the speed controller to the desired speed.
• Then remove the blender jug by turning it clockwise.
Hints:
• You can add your ingredients to the blender jug through the opening in the lid during operation. To do so, simply remove the splash protection cap.
• If you process hot liquids, remove the splash protection cap to allow the steam to escape.
• Should ingredients be trapped in the blender jug during operation, proceed as follows:
- Switch off the device (speed controller to speed 0) and pull the plug from the socket
- Remove the splash protection cap and the lid
- Remove the trapped ingredients in the blender jug using the dough scraper.
- Ensure you do not damage the scraper with the blade!
9 Cleaning
• Pull the plug from the socket before every cleaning.
• Wipe the housing with a clean, moist cloth after each use.
• You can clean the mixing bowl and the lid in hot soapy water.
• None of the device components are suitable for use in a dishwashing machine! Neither should you use abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning device components.
• Clean all device components that have come in contact with foodstuff with detergent and hot water after use.
10 Malfunctioning
• Should the food processor suddenly stop:
- This means that the device has overheated and the integrated safety cut off has switched off the food processor.
- Pull the plug from the socket
- Set the speed controller to speed 0
- Allow the device to cool down for 15 minutes
- If the device has not cooled off completely after 15 minutes, it will not start. Wait another 15 minutes before switching it on again.
