INTRODUCTION
pg. 2
The ADVANTAGE rack-space graphic equalizers. The mEQ152 provides two independent
pg. 3
channels of true 2/3-octave frequency control. The mEQ301 provides a single channel of true 1/3-octave frequency control. The use of Constant-Q
pg. 4
technology guarantees precise room tuning with less filter interaction, better filter combining, and constant filter bandwidth at any setting. This design also produces a more accurate front panel graphic representation of the actual equalization 'curve', so tuning a room becomes an easier process. Best of all, the mEQ152 & mEQ301 deliver unmatched performance at an excellent price.
mEQ152 features include:
2/3-octave stereo 15-band graphic EQ (25Hz~16kHz)
front panel switchable ±12dB or ±6dB filter range
front panel +15dBu LED peak indicators
balanced input & output on plug-in barrier strips
front panel EQ bypass switch for each channel
RFI filtering for protection from radio interference
FET output muting to prevent turn on/off transients
Constant-Q filter design for more precise equalization
incorporates AES recommended grounding practices
covered by Five-Year ‘Gold Seal’ Warranty
mEQ301 features include:
1/3-octave 30-band graphic EQ (25Hz~20kHz)
front panel switchable ±12dB or ±6dB filter range
front panel +15dBu LED peak indicators
balanced input & output on plug-in barrier strips
front panel EQ bypass switch for comparison
RFI filtering for protection from radio interference
FET output muting to prevent turn on/off transients
Constant-Q filter design for more precise equalization
incorporates AES recommended grounding practices
covered by Five-Year ‘Gold Seal’ Warranty

Range Swiches (12dB / 6dB): These switches select the boost/cut range of the filter slide controls for the respective channels. When released (out), these switches select the 12dB range. When depressed (in), these switches select the 6dB range.
Peak Indicators: These red LEDs indicate signal levels of at least +15dBu (9dB below clipping) are present in the respective channels.
EQ Bypass Switches (In / Out): These switches activate or bypass the Filter Controls and Master Gain Control for the respective channels. When released (out), these switches bypass the equalization. When depressed (in), these switches activate the equalization. Use EQ Bypass to compare equalized signals to un-equalized signals.

AC Power Cord: The external power transformer provides 27 Volts AC to the equalizer, and is detachable via a 5-pin DIN connector. The equalizer has two internal ‘self-resetting’ fuses (there are no user servicable parts inside the unit). If the internal fuses blow, they will attempt to re-set after a short period. However, this may be an indication that the equalizer requires service.

Filter Controls: These slide controls adjust the gain in each of the filter bands (25Hz~16kHz/channel). There are 15 bands per channel. Each control has a range of ±12dB or ±6dB boost/cut depending upon the position of the channel Range Switch. The controls have a center detent (flat).
Master Gain Controls: These slide controls adjust the overall gain of the repective channels only when the EQ Bypass Switches are depressed (in). They have a range of ±12dB. Use these controls to compensate for changes in gain due to filter adjustments.

Outputs: These plug-in barrier strip connectors provide balanced output from the respective channels. For unbalanced output, connect to the Outputs with high to (+) and ground to ( leaving (-) unconnected. Signal levels will be reduced by 6dB when the Outputs are unbalanced.
Inputs: These plug-in barrier strip connectors provide balanced input to the respective channels. For unbalanced input, connect to the Inputs with high to (+) and ground to both (-) & (
