SAFETY WARNINGS

The PRESSURE CHEF cooks under pressure. Do not attempt to remove the lid while the appliance is operating. Improper use may result in burns or injury

Before using your PRESSURE CHEF for the first time, remove and dispose of all packaging with a local recycling program. Keep packaging out of reach of children

Only use the PRESSURE CHEF for its intended use

For home use only, not for commercial use

For indoor use only. Do not use outdoors

Keep the PRESSURE CHEF out of reach of children. Not for use by children

To clean the PRESSURE CHEF outer body, wipe with a damp cloth. Never submerge the outer body or power cord in water

Do not place any of the PRESSURE CHEF parts in a dishwasher

To avoid electrical shock or damage to the PRESSURE CHEF, keep the unit away from water. If the PRESSURE CHEF outer body falls into water while plugged in, do not touch it. Unplug the machine first before attempting to remove it

Make sure your hands are dry when operating switches or removing the plug

To unplug, grip the plug to remove from the wall socket. Never pull on the power cord

Check that the voltage indicated on the rating label (220-240V) corresponds with the mains voltage in your home

Take precautions to avoid hot surfaces or sharp edges damaging the power cord

Do not operate if any part of your PRESSURE CHEF or power cord is damaged

Always place your PRESSURE CHEF on a solid, flat, dry, heat-proof surface

Do not place on newspaper, foam, or any other material that may block the vent at the bottom

Do not leave your PRESSURE CHEF unattended while using it to sauté

Do not operate if any part of the appliance or power cord is damaged

Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the PRESSURE CHEF

Unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning. Wait for the parts to cool before removing or replacing them

Be aware that parts of your PRESSURE CHEF such as the stainless steel lid will be hot during and after use. Do not touch hot surfaces, even after the PRESSURE CHEF is switched off

Only lift the lid by the handle

To avoid burns from escaping steam, use caution when adjusting the steam vent

Do not place flammable items such as paper or plastic in the pot

Do not move the appliance when in use

Do not handle or dispose of oils or other liquids while still hot. Allow to cool first

Do not pour cold liquid into the pot while it is still hot

Do not use the removable pot on any source of direct heat other than the PRESSURE CHEF

Do not overfill the removable pot because food such as rice or vegetables may expand during cooking. Overfilling the removable pot may result in developing more pressure or clogging the vent pipe

Be aware that certain foods, such as applesauce, cranberries, pearl barley, split peas, noodles, or rhubarb can foam, froth and sputter causing the steam vent to clog. These foods should not be cooked in a pressure cooker

Do not use this cooker for pressure frying with oil

Always check the pressure release vent for clogs before use

Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter. Keep cord away from hot surfaces

Do not use under hanging cabinets as escaping steam may cause damage

If a long extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must comply with the electrical rating of the appliance. The longer cord must not drape over any surface where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over

Only use attachments supplied and assemble only as instructed. Do not use attachments or parts from other products with the PRESSURE CHEF
