INSTRUCTIONS
Read all instructions carefully, even if you are familiar with the appliance.
• To protect against the risk of electric shock, DO NOT IMMERSE power cord or plug in water or any other liquid
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory and mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety
• Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance
• Always unplug the unit when not in use
• Do not operate unit with a damaged
power cord or plug, or after a malfunction, has been dropped or is damaged in any manner. Return the unit to an authorised service facility for examination
• Do not run the power cord under
carpeting or cover the power cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange the power cord away from traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over
• Do not place the power cord over any
part of the unit
• To disconnect the unit set main switch to
OFF then remove the plug from the outlet
• This unit has hot electrical parts inside
DO NOT use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock, fire or could damage the unit
• Use the unit only as described in this booklet Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons
• Always uncoil the power cord before
applying power
• This product must always be used AND STORED in the upright position
• Do not use this unit with a programmer,
timer or any other device that switches
the unit on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the unit is covered or positioned incorrectly
• If it is necessary to move the unit after the water has been added, move gently to the required position
• Do not move the machine when it is in use
• Always ensure that there is water in the tank when in use for cooling
• Do not block air circulation
• Do not use hot water
• Place the machine on a level surface
• Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning
WARNING
If the supply power cord is damaged it must be replaced by a Tevo Service Centre to avoid hazards. This product has not been designed for any uses other than those specified in this booklet.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Insert Stem into Mist Generator Body and fas­ten with size19 lock screw. Do not over-tight-
en the lock screw.
STEP 2:
Remove Lower Power Cable Cover and attach cable. Match correct cable colours (blue+blue and brown+brown). Place Lower Power Cable Cover back into position.
STEP 3:
Attach Back Grille to the Motor Body using 4 x supplied screws. Ensure handle is correct.
Do not over-tighten screws.
STEP 5:
Attach Misting Outlet Cover to Front Grille with the 4 x supplied screws.
STEP 6:
Loosen the Grille Clamp to its widest. Place over edge of Back Grille and insert Front Grille. Tighten clamp over both grilles. Place cover over the screws.
STEP 4:
Secure Blades to rotating rod. Do not bend blades. Hold centre of blades when tightening screw.
STEP 7:
Place Motor Body onto Stem. Fasten with supplied screw.
STEP 8:
Remove Upper Power Cable Cover and attach cable. Match correct cable colours (blue+blue and brown+brown). Place Upper Power Cable Cover back into position.
STEP 9:
Ensure that the Water Release Plug is in place.
STEP 11:
Fasten Mist Tube to Mist Generator Body and the Mist Outlet Cover.
TURNING ON THE FAN
• Plug the power cord into the mains power supply (see rating label on unit for details)
• Turn switch on Motor Body to desired speed.
• Turn on misting function by flipping on switch located on Mist Generator Body.
SPEED CONTROL
• Select 1,2 or 3 to select speed.
SWING CONTROL
• Press the Oscillating Switch for swing control
found on Mist Generator Body.
STEP 10:
Remove water tank. Fill up with water until full. Place water tank back into position.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
• Make sure that the fan is OFF and unplugged
• Remove Water Tank from fan base.
• Turn the Water Tank over and open the Valve Body Cover
• Fill the Water Tank with water
• Close the Valve Body Cover Tightly
• Replace the Water Tank in the Mist Generator Body
USING THE COOL MIST FUNCTION
The Cool Mist function may only be used with the fan blades in operation. Before using the Cool Mist function check that there is sufficient water in the Water Tank. Turn the fan blades on first. Then turn on the misting function. When the water runs out, the self-protect mechanism engages and the mist generator will switch off. The lights on the Mist Generator Body will turn red.
CARE AND CLEANING
To clean your Misting Fan, first disconnect the power cord from the mains. Remove the Front Guard and the blades, taking care not to drop the blades. First use a soft cloth with a mild detergent to clean off oil stains, then wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth. Never use polish or any corrosive liquid that will damage the paint, metal or plastic. Replace the blades and lock the guard securely before use.
Never spray with liquids or submerge the Misting Fan in water or any other liquid.
Do not fill the water tank with water over 45°C, to avoid discoloration or deformation.
For regular maintenance, remove Mist Generator Body cover (as shown below) by unscrewing the 4 screws and gently clean the white mist release ports (as shown below) every 60 days (based on heavy use) with a wet cloth.
When ambient temperature is near or below 0°C, remove all water from in and around the tank to prevent ice forming, which could damage components.
Do not fill water anywhere other than the water tank. Mop up any spills immediately.
WARNING: Unplug from electrical supply source before cleaning or filling / emptying the water tank. After servicing, any safety device (including grilles and blades) must be reinstalled or remount­ed as previously installed.
CONSUMER GUARANTEE
The Bennet Read Outdoor Misting Fan has a 12 month product guarantee from Tevo (PTY) ltd.
Tevo will replace or repair, at Tevo’s option, any defective or malfunctioning part due to manufacturing defect, free of charge from the date of purchase by the original purchaser for 12 months.
This guarantee applies to product used for personal or domestic use only, and specifically excludes any malfunction or defect arising from commercial use.
This guarantee does not apply to routine maintenance components. Damage or malfunction caused by negligence, abuse, neglect, unauthorized repair, or use not in accordance with the user guide is not covered.
Tevo is not liable for incidental or consequential damages of any nature associated with the use of this product. Tevo’s liability will not exceed the purchase price of this product.
