USDA Cooking Guidelines
A meat thermometer should always be used to gauge internal temperature. The thermometer should be inserted into the thickest portion of meat, away from bones or fatty areas.
The United States Department of Agriculture recommends that meat and poultry be cooked to the following internal temperatures to be sure any harmful bacteria has been killed. Ground turkey and chicken should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165° F and ground beef, veal, lamb and pork be cooked to an internal temperature of 160° F. Chicken and turkey should be cooked to an internal temperature of 170°F for white meat and 180° F for dark meat. Goose and duck should be cooked to an internal temperature of 180° F. Fresh beef, veal and lamb, etc. should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 145°F. Freshpork should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 160° F. When re-heating
meat and poultry products, they should also be cooked to an internal temperature of 165° F.
To Use as a Full Grill/Griddle (Open Position)
1. Place the 8-IN-1 Grill Station on a at, level sur face. Make sure there is ample available space to
accommodate the full opened Grill Station.
2. Open the lid to 90º.
3. Install 2 reversible grill/griddle plates; choose cooking plates/surfaces to suit your cooking needs.
NOTE: Use the ribbed grill plate(s) to cook a combination of foods of varying thickness, for bone-in
chops thicker than 1”, larger cuts of meats or sausages, delicate sh or unevenly cut larger vegetables where grill marks are desired. Use the at, non-stick griddle(s) surface to prepare pancakes, French toast, eggs, potatoes, fried rice, small delicate sh, or small chopped vegetables.
4. Grasp the handle and lift the upper cooking plate up (Figure 5) and open to create a full cooking
surface. (See Figure 6.)
Figure 5 Figure 6
5. Following recipe directions, turn the temperature control dial from 350°F to 425°F.

Press Grill or Griddle: Hints for Best Results
Grilling Meats/Poultry/Fish
• To ensure moist and delicious grilled meats, always allow meats to rest 10 to 20 minutes before cutting.
• Use cuts of meat thick enough to touch the top and base plate when the 8-IN-1 Grill Station is closed.
• Tougher cuts such as ank steak should be tenderized by marinating for few hours or overnight.
Wine or vinegar will help to break down the connective tissue before grilling.
• Drain excess marinade and dry meat well before placing on the grill plate.
• Avoid using marinades that contain high sugar levels that can burn on the grill plate when cooked.
• To ensure a tender piece of grilled meat, do not salt meat before cooking.
• Do not overcook meat.
• To avoid tough and dry meats, never cut or pierce meats while cooking. Use scratch-proof tongs to add
or remove meat from grill plates.
• Use griddle plates when cooking delicate pieces of sh. Use a heat-resistant sh spatula to remove sh
from the hot griddle. DO NOT OVERCOOK!
Panini Maker: Pressed Sandwiches
425ºF, 5 to 7 minutes
1. Install 2 reversible panini/omelet plates; panini cookside up.
2. Following recipe directions, turn the temperature control dial to 400ºF or 425°F.
3. Prepare your sandwiches as the appliance heats. Panini can be prepared ahead of time,
sealed with plastic wrap, and refrigerated; then grilled as needed.
4. Wearing oven mit ts, carefully open the lid. Before rst use, if desired, lightly oil the plates.
IMPORTANT: Do not use non-stick sprays as they can cause build-up on the cooking plates.
Use vegetable or olive oil instead.
5. When the blue READY light illuminates, carefully center 1 or 2 sandwiches on the lower plate.
IMPORTANT: Do not overload the cooking plate.
6. Use the oating hinge when preparing Panini and other thick sandwiches. To set up the oating hinge,
follow detailed instructions previously described in the section titled “To Use as a Contact Grill.” (See Figures 7 and 8.)
7. Close the lid so that the upper plate lies evenly on the top of the food. Use the top handle to press
down on the sandwiches while grilling.
8. Check cooked Panini after 5 minutes. Wearing oven mitts, remove pressed Panini from the cooking
plate using a heat-proof rubber spatula.
WARNING: Never use a sharp or metal object as it may damage the non-stick surface of the
paniniplates.
9. If additional food is to be cooked, close the 8-IN-1 Grill Station to retain heat.
10. When all Panini are cooked, turn the temperature control dial to 250ºF. Remove the plug from the
wall outlet.
WARNING! ALWAYS UNPLUG UNIT WHEN COOKING IS FINISHED. OTHERWISE, THE 8-IN-1 GRILL
STATION WILL CONTINUE TO HEAT UNTIL UNIT IS UNPLUGGED.
11. Allow 8-IN-1 Grill Station to cool completely before removing cooking plates or to clean the unit.

Panini Maker: Hints for Best Results
• It is customar y to prepare panini using a hearty loaf of bread. However, panini made from store-bought
sliced breads or rolls can be delicious and simple to prepare. Have fun and experiment with a variety of breads, tortillas, atbreads, even pitas.
• For health-conscious cooks, the non-stick coating of the cooking plates assures crisp and delicious
toasting without the use of oil or butter.
• While it is not necessary to butter or oil the outside of the bread, spreading a small amount
of butter or olive oil is recommended to encourage even browning of the bread.
IMPORTANT: Do not use non-stick sprays as they can cause build-up on the cooking plates.
Use vegetable or olive oil instead.
• Have all ingredients at hand before preparing panini.
• When using soft or liquid llings, use thicker-sliced breads. Try removing the insides of soft rolls
to create a cup in which lling can be added.
• Most fruits release juice when heated. Drain and pat fresh or canned fruit dry with a clean paper towel.
• Avoid using processed cheeses, as they tend to “run” under high temperatures.
• Dessert Paninis are delicious! A teaspoon of sugar sprinkled on the buttered side makes grilled
panini crispier and adds avor when using sweet llings.
• Whole grain and sweet breads will grill faster than white breads and should be grilled for less time.
• After you have removed nished panini, close the upper grill plate to retain heat while assembling
more sandwiches.
• To avoid food contamination, wearing oven mitts, use a soft, absorbent paper towel and a dab of
vegetable oil to wipe the grill plates clean af ter each use.
Omelets and Poached Eggs
Omelets 350ºF, 4 to 5 minutes Poached Eggs 300ºF, 3 minutes HINT: Use the 8-IN-1 Grill Station to cook omelet ingredients, if desired. Making omelets is a great way to
use leftovers.
1. Install 2 reversible panini/omelet plates; omelet cookside up.
2. Following recipe directions, turn the temperature control dial to 350ºF.
3. Omelet ingredients should be pre-cooked and cut into small pieces. Suitable llings for the omelets
include shredded cheese, small cooked, chopped vegetables such as thawed, frozen peas, blue onions, mushrooms, fresh or thawed and pressed spinach, drained chopped tomatoes, thinly sliced pieces of cooked bacon, sausage, meats or poultry.
CAUTION: Do not use any foods with bones or pits.
4. Place 2 fresh eggs in a small bowl. Whip well.
5. When the blue READY light illuminates, add 1/4 of the whipped eggs into each mold. Add lling
ingredients to both molds. Top each mold with the remainder of the eggs.

Wafe Maker
Wafe Maker, Bakes 4 Wafes
400ºF, 6 - 7 minutes
1. Install 2 wafe plates.
IMPORTANT! The waf e plates are marked “UPPER” and “ LOWER” on the backside of the plates. NOTE: To avoid wafe batter from spilling over, the “BOTTOM” plate has larger overow channels.
2. Before baking the rst wafes of the day, pour a teaspoon of vegetable oil to both the upper and
lower cooking plates. Spread with an absorbent kitchen towel and wipe off any excess oil.
3. Following recipe directions, turn the temperature control dial to 400°F.
NOTE: When preparing wafes, it is necessary that the wafe plates are up to temperature. Be sure
to add wafe batter af ter unit is preheated and the blue READY light has illuminated.
4. Pour 1/4 cup wafe batter onto the center of each of the 4 wafe molds on the lower cooking
plate. If necessary, spread slightly to ll the entire area. Try not to overll, batter will expand when cooked.
NOTE: It is not necessary to ll all 4 molds.
5. Close the top lid and allow the Waf e Maker to cook for 6 to 7 minutes, or according to recipe
directions.
NOTE: Wafe recipes will vary in cook time and brownness; batters with more sugar will brown
quicker. Note the perfect cook times for each bat ter recipe for future use.
6. Wipe the Grill Station base with a clean paper towel or cleaning cloth if necessar y.
7. At the end of the cook time, lift the top lid gently; if it pulls, continue baking for 30 seconds and
test again. If the wafes need to bake to a darker nish, close the lid and continue cooking until the desired color is achieved.
8. Wearing oven mit ts, remove 1 to 4 baked wafes from the cooking plate(s) using a heat-proof
rubber spatula.
WARNING: Never use a sharp or metal object as it may damage the non-stick surface of the
wafeplates.
9. If additional wafes are to be baked, clean and oil wafe plates after removing nished wafes.
Close the 8-IN-1 Grill Station to retain heat. Always wait until the blue READY light illuminates before baking more wafes.
10. When all wafes are nished cooking, turn the temperature control dial to 250ºF. Remove the plug
from the wall outlet.
WARNING! ALWAYS UNPLUG UNIT WHEN COOKING IS FINISHED. OTHERWISE, THE 8-IN-1 GRILL
STATION WILL CONTINUE TO HEAT UNTIL UNIT IS UNPLUGGED.
11. Allow 8-IN-1 Grill Station to cool completely before removing the cooking plates or to clean the unit.

Wafe Maker: Hints for Best Results
• Most recipes can be easily halved or doubled.
• Do not open the Wafe Maker during the rst minute of baking or the waf e will separate.
Completely cook the wafe before removing.
• When a wafe is done, the upper lid should lift easily. Lift gently; if it pulls, continue cooking for 30
seconds and test again.
• When preparing wafe batter, do not over-mix or waf es will be tough. Stir batter only until large
lumps of dry ingredients disappear. Some lumps are ok.
• The optimal amount of batter to produce a full-shaped wafe, without overowing, will vary with
different wafe batters.
• For more evenly shaped wafes, spread thick batters to the outer edge of the lower cooking plate
using a heat-proof rubber spatula or other non-metallic utensil before closing the lid.
• Cake-based wafes are more tender than regular wafes, and may require more care when
removing from the Waf e Maker. Wearing oven mitts, use a spatula to support wafes when removing from the Wafe Maker.
• To retain crispness, move baked wafes to a paper napkin or a wire cooling rack to absorb any
condensation. To keep wafes hot, place in an ovenproof dish on an oven rack and warm at about 200-250°F (90 -120°C). Wafes will keep for about 20 minutes before they begin to dry out.
• Cooled wafes can be re-warmed and re-crisped individually by returning to hot Wafe Maker.
Place wafes on lower cooking plate so grooves match; close lid and heat for 1 to 2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
• Baked wafes freeze well. Cool wafes completely on a wire rack. Store in a sealed freezer bag or in
a covered container, separating wafes with wax paper.
• Reheat frozen wafes in a toaster oven, 300ºF oven or wide-mouth toaster until hot and crisp.
For lower sugar wafes and/or toppings:
• Use sugar substitutes.
• Use organic agave nectar.
• Use low-sugar preserves, marmalades or jellies.
• Use macerated dried fruits such as gs, dates, prunes.
• Use apple or mango sauce.
• Use sugar-free maple syrup.
For lower fat, lower cholesterol wafes:
• Use skim milk, almond milk, coconut milk, soy milk, etc.
• Adapt recipes by eliminating egg yolks.
• Always use liquid vegetable oils such as canola, corn or sunower, instead of butter.
For higher ber wafes:
• Substitute half of the recipe white our with whole-wheat our.
• Substitute one-quarter of the recipe white our with wheat or oat bran.
• Use macerated high-ber dried fruits such as gs, dates, baby prunes

1. Install both the lower and upper quesadilla plates.
2. Following recipe directions, turn the temperature control dial to 425ºF.
3. Prepare your quesadillas the appliance heats. Place the rst tortilla onto a clean plate. Add
approximately 1/2 cup shredded cheese plus no more than 1/4 cup of lling.
IMPORTANT: Always prepare quesadillas using previously cooked foods.
4. Cover with the second tor tilla.
5. Quesadillas can be prepared ahead of time, sealed with plastic wrap, and refrigerated; then grilled
as needed.
IMPORTANT: Do not use non-stick sprays as they can cause build-up on the cooking plates. Use
vegetable or olive oil instead.
6. When the blue READY light illuminates, place quesadilla in the center of the lower cooking plate.
Close the lid and grill for approximately 5 to 7 minutes, depending on the lling.
WARNING: Over-grilling will cause lling to seep out the sides of the tortillas.
7. When your quesadilla is ready, wearing oven mitts, gently open the lid and remove quesadilla from
the cooking plate using a heat-proof rubber spatula.
WARNING: Never use a sharp or metal object as it may damage the non-stick surface of the
quesadilla plates.
8. If additional quesadillas are to be cooked, close the 8-IN-1 Grill Station to retain heat.
9. When quesadillas are nished cooking, turn the temperature control dial to 250ºF. Remove the plug
from the wall outlet.
WARNING! ALWAYS UNPLUG UNIT WHEN COOKING IS FINISHED. OTHERWISE, THE 8-IN-1 GRILL
STATION WILL CONTINUE TO HEAT UNTIL UNIT IS UNPLUGGED.
10. Allow 8-IN-1 Grill Station to cool completely before removing cooking plates or to clean the unit.
Quesadilla Maker: Hints for Best Results
IMPORTANT! The Quesadilla Maker cannot cook foods. Ingredients must be cooked.
This Quesadilla Maker is used to melt cheese and warm ingredients.
• When preparing quesadillas, use fresh, 8-inch our tortillas. Various avored tortillas can be used
for a variety of interesting tastes and a fun, colorful presentation.
• Suitable llings for traditional quesadillas include shredded or sliced cheese, refried beans, thinly
sliced pieces of cooked meats sausages, cooked ground or pulled meats and poultry, and/or pre-cooked vegetables.
IMPORTANT: Do not use any foods with bones or pits.
• Do not over-stuff the quesadillas as the lling may leak into the reservoir. The lling should be
spread evenly up to a 1/2 inch on the tortilla. Generally, 1/2 cup of shredded cheese will work well.
• Quesadillas should be slightly crisp but not overdone. Do not grill for more than 7 minutes.
• To reheat previously grilled quesadillas, match up the triangle shapes to those on the cooking
plates. Reheat for 1 to 2 minutes.
• Use a pizza cutter or a sharp, serrated knife to slice the quesadilla for serving.
