for WIN200CW<P/ME OS. You don’t need to install the driver. Just connect the player to the PC and download audio files following these steps:
(1) Remove the USB cover to reveal the
USB connector.
(2) Attach the USB connector of the
player to the USB port of the PC.
When you open “My Computer“, you see a removable disk which represents the player. Now you can use the removable disk as a normal local disk drive, copying audio files from or to the removable disk.
Removing the player from the PC safely

For Windows2000/XP: (1) Left click the ^ icon at the right hand comer of the taskbar. (2) Click the pop-up mini-window with message of “Stop the USB Mass Storage
Device - Drive PQ". (3) When you are prompted to remove the device, pull out the MP3 player.
For Win98, please make sure the data transfer is completed before unplugging the MP3 player. Installing Battery (1) Press and push the battery cover in the direction of the arrow. (2) Remove the cover and insert one AAA-size battery irtto the battery compartment. (3) Close the cover.

Advanced Features

* Using the Menu
Press and hold the 0 key to enter the
main menu.
Push the © key leftwards or rightwards
to select the menu item and press the
© key to confirm the selected item. Press the >11 button to return. Or, do not press any key it will return in a few seconds automatically..
* Using the Navigation Function
In the music or voice mode, shortly
press the © key to enter folder navigator
mode.
To navigate through the folders: (1) Push the © l«y left or right to select
folder.
0 Press the © key to enter the selected
folder.
{3) Push the ® key left or right to select
track that you want to play. Press the © key to play the selected track if necessary.
(4) Press the Ml button to close the
current folder and return to the higher level.
* A-B Repeat
To repeat specified section of the
current track,
(1) Press the i&=li button during
playback to select the start point of the repeat.
(2) Press the ^=11 button again at the
desired point to specify the end point of the repeat. The section
between the start point and the end point begins to be played repeatedly.
(3) Press the A=ll button shortly to stop

Normal - Play all tracks in order and
stop after playing all
Repeat One - Keep repeating the Repeat AI - Play all tracks in order and
Shuffle - Play all fracks randomly and Shuffle Repeat - Keep repeating all Folder - Play all files in the current
Repeat Folder - Repeat all files in the Preview - PnaMew the first ten seconds
To select the play mode: (1) In the Music or Voice mode, press
and hold the © key to show the main menu.
(2) Select ’ M ■ and press the ® key to
show the provided options.
(3) Select “Repeat" and press the ©
key to confirm.
(4) Push the 0 key leftwards or
rightwards to select the desired repeat mode, and press the© key to confirm or press the key to cancel and return.
• Select preset EQ mode You can play the tracks In different
sound effect. The device provides 6 preset B3 modes: Normal, Rock, Jazz, Classic, Pop and Bass.
To set the EQ mode:
(1) In the Music or Voice mode, press
and hold the © button to show the main
menu.

(1) In the Music mode, press and hold
the button to start voice recording.
(2) When you see the following screen,
speak into the built-in microphone.
(3) To stop recording, press the
button again. A voice file named as VOOY.WAV (where Y is the
sequence number) Is created. Now,
you can press the Wll button to play the voice file that you just recorded.
• Play Voice RIe (1) On the main menu, select the "Voice'

On the main menu, select * SI' and press the Menu key to turn on the FM radio.
• Auto-Search Broadcasting Station
(1) Shortly press the ® button to show
the submenus.
(2) Select "Scan Staton" and then press
the® button to confirm.
(3) The radio automatically searches
for stations from 87.6 MHz to 108 MHz, The received stations will be
saved as preset stations automatically.
• Search Broadcasting Station Manually
(1) When you see 'Staiion' displayed,
steps:
(1) Shortly press the ® button to enter
the folder navigation mode.
(2) Select the folder or track that you
want to delete. (3) Press the button to delete it. (4) Push the ® button leftwards to
select the ’Yes" option and press
the ® button again to confimn
deletion, or press the >ll button to
cancel deletion.

(1) When you receive a station, press
the 0 button shortly to show the submenus.
® Select "Save Station* and press the
© button to confirm.
(3) Push the © button leftwards or
rightwards to choose a location for the station, and press the © button to confirm
Note: For the same location, the new saved station will replace the original one.
• Delete Broadcasting Station (1) In the "Station" mode, push the ©
button left or right to select the station that you want to delete.
(2) Press the © button shortly to show
the submenus.
EH S^tem Settings
To customize the player settings: (1) On the main menu, select the * iS"
item arKi press the ® button to enter the system setting mode.
(3) Select 'Delete Station* and press
the © button to continue.
(4) Press the © button to cortfirm deletion or press the >i button to cancel deletion.
• Encode the FM program You can record the FM programs
broadcasted by the station into WAV file.
(1) When you are listening to the
program, shortly press the button to start recording.
(2) Press the button again to stop
recording. The recorded file is named as FOOY.WAV (Where Y is the sequence No.). You can go to the FM folder, search the file and play it.
(2) Push the © button leftwards or
rightwards to select setting item and press the © button to confirm or press the WO button to cancel/retum.

Check System Information
To check system version or memory information, (1) On the main menu, select “System”
and press ® button to continue.
(2) Select “Memory/FW” and press ©
button to confirm.
Load system settings to defaults
You can load the system settings to factory default settings. (1) On the main menu, select "System”
(2) Select “Load default” and press ©
button to confirm.
(3) Press the © button leftwards to setect
“YES” and press © button to confirm. The device will power off automaticalty. You need to restart it manually.
Note: Once you've loaded settings to
defaults, you are prompted to specify
language when restarting the device.

Driver Installation

For Windows 98/SE, you are required to install the driver first before connecting it to the computer. (1) Insert the driver CD into the CD-ROM
and execute the Setup.htm file on it.
(2) Click the player picture with comect
model.
(3) Select “Run this program from its
current location” in order to execute Setup.exe program at once, and
then click “OK” to continue. (4) Click “Yes” to start installation. (5) Click “Next” to continue.
T roubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
The OLED displays nothing when the Ml
kev is Dressed.
Press the Ml key after turning on, while the player has no response.
No sound when playing music or voice file.

The player cannot be connected to the PC.

2. The USB interface is not supported by PC's motherboard.
The bit rate of the MP3 file
is changing during playback
The player Is disconnected
from the PC abrupt^ while transferring files.
Part of memory Is used to store programs and display characters.
The MP3 file is compressed by a standard, such as MPEG
I Layer 1 or Layer 2 that the player does not support.

Notice

• Plug & Play is only available for WIN2000/XP. It is not supported by WIN98 and WIN98SE under which a driver needed to be installed.
• Push the Hold switch to the unlocked position to enable all keys before operation.
• Please replace the battery immediate^ when the display indicates low battery, or the device will be powered off automatically.
• Please unplug the player properly to avoid data losing.
• The transfer rate displayed on the PC may be different depending on the operating system. Exact transfer rate should be subject to the player's
indication.
• When the recorded voice file is too large, it is normal that the response of the device may be slow.
