DYNAMICS COMPRESSOR DC9
Classic Dynamics Compressor
Thank you for show ing your condence in us by purchasing the BEHRINGER DYNAMICS COMPRESSOR DC9.
This ultimate eects pedal is spec ically designed to give a stable dynamics and an endless sustain to your
guitar by evening out the signal without degrading the or iginal sound. You can also use the DC9 to b oost
the overall volume of your instr ument for solo parts.
A compresso r limits the dynamic ran ge of a signal by attenuating si gnal peaks exceeding a ce rtain threshold le vel.
The amount of gain reduction is determined by the compression ratio. The result of compression is an attenuation
of the diere nce between loudes t and softest playi ng which achieves a more powe rful and punchy tone.

(1) The SENSITIVITY control determines the compression ratio. The higher you set the
SENSITIVITY value, the more the compression intensies. In other words, as you increase
the SENSITIVITY, you reduce the level dierence betwe en softest and loude st playing.
(2) The OUTPUT control adjusts the output level. Use it to compensate the gain reduction resulting
from the compression or to b oost the output level of your instrument.
(3) The LED illuminates when the ee ct is activated. It als o serves as a batter y level indicator.
(4) Depress the footswitch to activate/deactivate the eect.
(5) Use this ¼" TS IN connector to plug in the ins trument cable.
(6) The ¼" TS OUT connector s ends the signal to your amp.
Use the DC IN connection to plug in a 9 V power supply (not included).
To install or replace the 9 V batter y, remove the bottom side of the uni t taking the four screws o.
◊ The DC9 has no on /o switch. A s soon as you connect the jack to the in connec tor, the DC9

the battery life.
The SERIAL NUMBER is located on t he bottom side of the device.
