sustai n. Thanks to it s high-per formance f eatures you ca n compress lo ud
and boost low signals without degrading the original sound.
A compre ssor limits t he dynamic ran ge of a signal. Thi s means that
signal pe aks will be at tenuated and t he level dier ences betwe en
loudes t and softe st playing are r educed. This r esults in a mor e powerful
and pressure-rich tone.
1. Controls
(1 ) The LEVEL control adjusts the output level.
(2 ) Turn up the TONE con trol to achie ve more presen ce and
soundcl arity.
(3 ) The ATTA CK contro l determines h ow fast the com pressor rea cts
on the inp ut signal. The at tack time is s weepable be tween slow
and fas t.
(4 ) The SUSTAIN control determines the amount of compression that
results in long-lasting tones.
(5 ) The ON /BATT L ED illumin ates when the e ect is act ivated. It als o
serve s as a batter y level indica tor.
(6 ) Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the eect.
(7 ) Use this ¼" TS IN con nector to plu g in the instr ument cable.
(8 ) The ¼" TS OUT conne ctor sends th e signal to your am p.
Use the DC IN c onnectio n at the front of t he unit to plug in a 9V p ower

The BATTERY COMPARTMENT is located u nderneath t he pedal cover.
To install o r replace the 9 V bat tery, press t he hinges wit h a ballpen and
remove th e pedal cover. Be ca reful not to sc ratch the unit .
◊ ◊ The CS400 has no on/o switch. As soon as you insert the
jack into the in connector, the CS400 begins running. When
not using the CS400, remove the jack from the in connector.
This ex tends the li fe of the bat tery.
The SERIAL NUMBER is locat ed at the botto m.

Un compre sseur rédui t la dynamique d es signaux en ab aissant le

ist speziell entwickelt, um druckvolle Kompression und endloses Sustain
zu erzeu gen. Dank zahl reicher Feat ures ist es D ir möglich, lau te Signale zu
komprimieren und leise Signale hervorzuheben, ohne die Klangqualität
des Originalsignals zu beeinträchtigen.
Ein Kompressor reduziert den Dynamikumfang eines Signals.
Lautstärkespitzen werden abgesenkt, wodurch der Unterschied
zwischen den lautesten und leisesten Passagen eines Signals verringert

alti ed evidenziare segnali silenziosi senza pregiudicare la qualità sonora
del segnale originale.
Un compre ssore riduc e il volume dinam ico di un segnal e. I picchi di
volume vengono abbassati riducendo così la dierenza tra i passaggi più
alti e silenziosi di un segnale. In questo modo si ottiene un suono molto
più corp oso e sostan zioso.

mogelij k, harde signa len te comprim eren en zachte s ignalen naar vo ren
te laten komen, zonder de klankkwaliteit van het originele signaal te
beïnvloeden.
Een compressor reduceert de dynamiekomvang van een signaal.
Geluidspieken worden verlaagd, waardoor het verschil tussen de luidste
en zacht ste passag es wordt verm inderd. Op die m anier krijgt m en een
behoorlijk mooier en vollere klank.
1. Bedieningselementen
(1 ) De LEVEL-regelaar bepaalt het uitgangsvolume.
(2 ) Met de TONE-r egelaar kun je h et signaal mee r presentie e n
duidelijkheid geven.
(3 ) Met de AT TACK-reg elaar bepaal je, h oe snel de compr essor op het
ingangs signaal reage ert. DeAtt ack-tijd is tra ploos regel baar.
(4 ) De SUSTAIN-rege laar regelt de i ntensiteit va n het Sustain -eect.
(5 ) De ON/ BATT-L ED is verlicht, z odra het ee ct geacti veerd is.

(6 ) De voet schakelaar di ent voor het ac tiveren/deac tiveren van

(7 ) De 6,3-mm IN -monostekkerbus dient voor de aansluiting van het

je versterker.
De DC IN-aansluiting dient voor de aansluitin g van een 9 V adapter
(behoo rt niet tot de le vering).

te plaats en of te vervan gen, moet u de sc harnieren vo orzichtig m et een
ballpoi nt samendru kken en het peda al verwijde ren. Let erop, da t u geen
krassen achterlaat.
◊ ◊ De CS400 h eeft geen O n/O-scha kelaar. De CS4 00 is klaar
voor geb ruik, zodr a er een kabel i n de IN-bus zit . Trek de
stekke r uit de IN-bus , wanneer de CS 400 niet in g ebruik is.
Op die ma nier verlen gt u de levensd uur van de bat terij.
Het SERIENUMMER bevindt zich aan de onderzijde van het apparaat.

Niet gebruiken in de buurt van water of warmtebronnen. Gebruik
uitsluitend geautoriseerde uitbreidingen/originele accessoires. Probeer
