welches höchste Anforderungen an Funktionalität und Design
entspricht.
Lesen Sie die hier enthaltenen Informationen, damit Sie mit Ihrem
Gerät schnell vertraut werden und seine Funktionen in vollem
Umfang nutzen können.
Ihr Gerät dient Ihnen viele Jahre lang, wenn Sie es sachgerecht

Informationen zu dieser Bedienungsanleitung
Diese Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil des Samowar/Wasser& Teekochers der 3000 Serie (nachfolgend als Gerät bezeichnet)
und gibt Ihnen wichtige Hinweise für die Inbetriebnahme, die
Sicherheit, den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch und die Pege
des Gerätes.
Die Bedienungsanleitung muss ständig in der Nähe des Gerätes
verfügbar sein. Sie ist von jeder Person zu lesen und anzuwenden, die mit der Bedienung, Störungsbehebung und/oder Reinigung des Gerätes beauftragt ist.
Bewahren Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung auf und geben Sie
diese mit dem Gerät an Nachbesitzer weiter.

Dieses Gerät ist vorwiegend für den nicht gewerblichen Gebrauch
in geschlossenen Räumen zum Erwärmen von Wasser und Tee
bestimmt. Achten Sie bei gewerblicher Nutzung auf eine Änderung der Garantiezeit.
Eine andere oder darüber hinausgehende Benutzung gilt als nicht
bestimmungsgemäß.

In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Sicherheitshinweise im
Umgang mit dem Gerät.
Dieses Gerät entspricht den vorgeschriebenen Sicherheitsbestimmungen. Ein unsachgemäßer Gebrauch kann jedoch zu Personen- und Sachschäden führen.
Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die
folgenden, grundlegenden Sicherheitshinweise sowie die in den
einzelnen Kapiteln separat aufgeführten Hinweise:
Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere ■
sichtbare Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes Gerät nicht
in Betrieb.
Entfernen Sie das Typenschild und eventuelle Warnhinweise ■
nicht.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien. ■
Stellen Sie das Gerät außer Reichweite von Kindern. ■
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht für längere Zeit unbeaufsichtigt. ■
Personen, die aufgrund ihrer körperlichen, geistigen oder ■
motorischen Fähigkeiten nicht in der Lage sind das Gerät
sicher zu bedienen, dürfen das Gerät nur unter Aufsicht oder

Tauchen Sie das Gerät, das Stromkabel oder den Netzstecker ■
niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät und die Zubehörteile nicht im Ge- ■
schirrspüler.
Ziehen Sie die Anschlussleitung immer am Netzstecker aus ■
der Steckdose, nicht am Stromkabel.
Tragen Sie das Gerät nicht am Stromkabel. ■

Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von autorisierten Fach- ■
händlern oder vom Werkskundendienst durchführen. Durch
unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren
für den Benutzer entstehen. Zudem erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
Eine Reparatur des Gerätes während der Garantiezeit darf ■
nur von einem vom Hersteller autorisierten Kundendienst vorgenommen werden, sonst besteht bei Schäden und nachfolgenden Schäden kein Garantieanspruch mehr.
Defekte Bauteile dürfen nur gegen Original-Ersatzteile ausge- ■
tauscht werden. Nur bei diesen Teilen ist gewährleistet, dass
die Sicherheitsanforderungen erfüllt werden.
Gefahr durch elektrischen Strom

Beim Kontakt mit unter Spannung stehenden Leitungen
oder Bauteilen besteht Lebensgefahr!
Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise um eine Gefährdung durch elektrischen Strom zu vermeiden:
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Stromkabel oder ►
der Netzstecker beschädigt sind.
Lassen Sie vor der Weiterbenutzung des Gerätes eine neue ►
Anschlussleitung durch eine autorisierte Fachkraft installieren.
Öffnen Sie auf keinen Fall das Gehäuse des Gerätes. ►
Werden spannungsführende Anschlüsse berührt und der
elektrische und mechanische Aufbau verändert, besteht
Stromschlaggefahr.

Verbrennungsgefahr
WARNUNG
Das Gerät und die darin erhitzten Flüssigkeiten werden
sehr heiß!
Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise um sich oder
andere nicht zu Verbrennen oder zu Verbrühen:
Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Wasserbehälters nicht, wenn ►
das Wasser kocht.
Fassen Sie den Wasserbehälter während des Betriebes ►
nicht an.
Nehmen Sie die Teekanne vorsichtig ab. Heißer Dampf ►
entweicht aus dem Deckel des Wasserbehälters und kann
zu Verbrühungen führen.
Befüllen Sie das Gerät nur bis zur Maximalmarkierung. Bei ►
einer Überfüllung kann heißes Wasser herausspritzen.
Lassen Sie das Gerät vor jeder Reinigung abkühlen. ►
Sicherheitseinrichtungen
Das Gerät ist mit einem Trockenlaufschutz ausgerüstet.
HINWEIS
Sollten Sie einmal vergessen Wasser nachzufüllen, wird ►
durch einen Sicherheitsschalter die Heizung automatisch
abgeschaltet.
ACHTUNG
Um die Sicherheitseinrichtung nicht unbeabsichtigt zu deaktivieren:
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht mit einer Zeitschaltuhr oder ►
einer ähnlichen Einrichtung.

werden. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.
Beachten Sie die Hinweise zu den Anforderungen an den ►
Aufstellort sowie zum elektrischen Anschluss des Gerätes
um Personen- und Sachschäden zu vermeiden.
Lieferumfang und Transportinspektion
Das Gerät wird standardmäßig mit folgenden Komponenten geliefert:

Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtba- ►

Auspacken
Zum Auspacken des Gerätes gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Entnehmen Sie die Teekanne, den Deckel des Wasserbehäl-
ters, den Wasserbehälter und die Tropfschale mit der Abdeckung aus dem Karton.
Entfernen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial.
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die
Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt und deshalb
recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart
Rohstoffe und verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie
nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich
geltenden Vorschriften.
HINWEIS
Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während ►
der Garantiezeit des Gerätes auf, um das Gerät im Garantiefall ordnungsgemäß verpacken zu können. Transportschäden führen zum Erlöschen des Garantieanspruchs.
Anforderungen an den Aufstellort
Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes muss der
Aufstellort folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:
Das Gerät muss auf einer waagerechten, hitzebeständigen ■
und stabilen Oberäche aufgestellt werden.
Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in einer heißen, nassen oder sehr ■
feuchten Umgebung oder in der Nähe von brennbarem Material auf.
Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine Unterlage mit wasserunemp- ■
ndlicher Oberäche. Herausspritzendes Wasser könnte
Schäden verursachen.

Wählen Sie den Aufstellort so, dass Kinder nicht an heiße ■
Oberächen des Gerätes gelangen können.
Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht unter einen Hängeschrank. ■
Die Steckdose muss leicht zugänglich sein, so dass das ■
Stromkabel notfalls leicht abgezogen werden kann.
Elektrischer Anschluss
Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes sind
beim elektrischen Anschluss folgende Hinweise zu beachten:
Vergleichen Sie vor dem Anschließen des Gerätes die ■
Anschlussdaten (Spannung und Frequenz) auf dem Typenschild mit denen Ihres Elektronetzes. Diese Daten müssen
übereinstimmen, damit keine Schäden am Gerät auftreten. Im
Zweifelsfall fragen Sie Ihre Elektro-Fachkraft.
Die Steckdose muss mindestens über einen 10A-Sicherungs- ■
schutzschalter abgesichert sein.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Stromkabel unbeschädigt ist ■
und nicht über heiße Oberächen und/oder scharfe Kanten
verlegt wird.
Das Stromkabel darf nicht straff gespannt sein oder in Kontakt ■
mit dem heißen Gerät kommen.
Verlegen Sie das Stromkabel so, dass keine Stolpergefahr ■
besteht.
Das Gerät darf nur über eine Mehrfachsteckdosenleiste mit ■
einem Kabelquerschnitt von 1,5 mm² angeschlossen werden.
Die ■ elektrische Sicherheit des Gerätes ist nur dann gewähr-
leistet, wenn es an ein vorschriftsmäßig installiertes Schutzleitersystem angeschlossen wird. Der Betrieb an einer Steckdose ohne Schutzleiter ist verboten. Lassen Sie im Zweifelsfall
die Hausinstallation durch eine Elektro-Fachkraft überprüfen.
Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Verantwortung für Schäden,
die durch einen fehlenden oder unterbrochenen Schutzleiter
verursacht werden.

Am Wasserbehälter bendet sich oberhalb des Ablasshahns ein

In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung
des Gerätes.
Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG
Beim unsachgemäßen Betrieb des Gerätes können Perso-
nen- und Sachschäden auftreten!
Beachten Sie zusätzlich zu den grundlegenden Sicherheits- ►
hinweisen alle in diesem Kapitel aufgeführten Hinweise, um
Gefahren zu vermeiden.
Erhitzen Sie mit dem Gerät keine Milch oder schäumende ►
Flüssigkeiten.
Befüllen Sie das Gerät nur bis zur Maximalmakierung. Bei ►
einer Überfüllung kann heißes Wasser herausspritzen.
Öffnen Sie nicht den Deckel des Wasserbehälters, wenn das ►
Wasser kocht, um Verbrühungen zu vermeiden.
Vor dem Erstgebrauch
Machen Sie sich anhand dieser Bedienungsanleitung mit dem ■
Gerät und den Zubehörteilen vertraut, bevor Sie das Gerät
zum ersten Mal in Betrieb nehmen.
Reinigen Sie vor der ersten Verwendung das Gerät und die ■
Zubehörteile wie im Kapitel Reinigung und Pege beschrieben.
Montieren Sie die Tropfschale wie im Kapitel ■ Tropfschale
montieren beschrieben.

Tropfschale montieren
Vor Verwendung des Gerätes muss die Tropfschale (11) montiert
werden. Zur Montage der Tropfschale gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Positionieren Sie die Tropfschale so vor dem Gerät, dass der
Markierungspfeil auf der Tropfschale und der Markierungspfeil an dem Gerätesockel übereinstimmen.
Heben Sie das Gerät etwas an.
Schieben Sie die Tropfschale so unter das Gerät, dass sich
die Nut an der Tropfschale unter dem Rand des Geräteso-
ckels bendet.
Lassen Sie das Gerät herab, die Tropfschale wird unter dem
Rand eingeklemmt.
Legen Sie die Abdeckung (12) auf die Tropfschale.
Ablasshahn bedienen
Um Wasser aus dem Wasserbehälter zu entnehmen gehen Sie
wie folgt vor:
Tipp-Betrieb
Drücken Sie den Hebel (17) nach unten. Der Ablasshahn (16)
öffnet sich. Um den Ablasshahn wieder zu schließen, lassen Sie
den Hebel los.

Kippen Sie den Hebel (17) ganz nach hinten. Er rastet in dieser
Stellung ein. Der Ablasshahn (16) öffnet sich. Um den Ablasshahn wieder zu schließen, kippen Sie den Hebel nach vorn.
Wasserbehälter mit Deckel verschließen
Der Deckel (19) des Wasserbehälters (7) ist mit einer Arretierung
ausgestattet. Um den Wasserbehälter mit dem Deckel zu verschließen gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Setzen Sie den Deckel so auf den Wasserbehälter, dass sich
die Markierung am Deckel über dem Symbol am oberen
Rand des Wasserbehälters bendet.
Lassen Sie den Deckel auf den Wasserbehälter absinken,
drehen Sie ihn anschließend im Uhrzeigersinn bis sich die
Markierung über dem Symbol bendet. Der Deckel ist
verriegelt.

HINWEIS
Um den Deckel abzunehmen, drehen Sie den Deckel erst ►
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn in Richtung des Symbols zum
Entriegeln und heben dann den Deckel nach oben ab.
HINWEIS
Die Deckelverriegelung gilt nur für die Modellreihen 3005, ►
3006 und 3008.
Gerät in Betrieb nehmen
Füllen Sie frisches Wasser in gewünschter Menge, maximal
bis zur Max. Füllstandsmarkierung, in den Wasserbehälter.
Setzen Sie den Deckel auf den Wasserbehälter (siehe Kapitel
Wasserbehälter mit Deckel verschließen).
Setzen Sie die Teekanne darauf.
HINWEIS
Versichern Sie sich, dass der Drehknopf bis zum Anschlag ►
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn gedreht ist. Stecken Sie erst dann
den Netzstecker in die Steckdose.
Drehen Sie den Drehknopf im Uhrzeigersinn bis Sie die ge-
wünschte Einstellung erreicht haben.
Das Thermostat ermöglicht die stufenlose Einstellung der Wassertemperatur. Sie haben die Wahl zwischen folgenden Einstellungen: warm, heiß, kochen (intervallkochen).
Warm/Heiß
Wenn Sie den Drehknopf auf die Positionen oder
stellen, wird das Wasser bis auf die entsprechende Temperatur
erhitzt und auf dieser Temperatur gehalten.
Kochen
Wenn Sie den Drehknopf bis zum Anschlag auf die Position
drehen, wird das Wasser schnell zum Kochen gebracht. Belassen
Sie den Drehknopf in dieser Position, so kocht das Wasser ununterbrochen, bis es komplett verdampft ist.

Intervallkochen
Stellen Sie den Drehknopf, nachdem das Wasser kocht, soweit
zurück, bis die Kontrollleuchte erlischt. Damit schalten Sie
das Gerät auf Intervallkochen. Das Thermostat schaltet erst wieder ein und heizt erneut auf, wenn die Temperatur des Wassers
absinkt. So regelt das Thermostat die Energiezufuhr nach Bedarf
und spart somit viel Energie. Im Zyklus des Thermostates schal-
tet die Kontrollleuchte an und aus.
Gerät ausschalten
Zum Ausschalten des Gerätes gehen Sie folgt vor:
Drehen Sie den Drehknopf (8) gegen den Uhrzeigersinn bis
zum Anschlag auf die Position , überwinden Sie dabei den
leichten Widerstand. Die Kontrollleuchte erlischt.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose, wenn Sie
das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzen.
Wasser nachfüllen
WARNUNG
Verbrennungsgefahr durch heißen Wasserdampf!
Beim Auffüllen des heißen Wasserbehälters kann Wasserdampf
entweichen und zu Verbrennungen führen.
Lassen Sie das Gerät einige Minuten abkühlen bevor Sie ►
Wasser nachfüllen.
Zum Wasser nachfüllen gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.
Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.
Füllen Sie frisches Wasser in den Wasserbehälter.

Teezubereitung nach dem „Samowar Prinzip“
Schwarzer Tee
Tee ist nicht gleich Tee. Streng genommen ist Tee ausschließlich
ein wässriger Aufguss der Teepanze Camellia sinensis. Dieser
Aufguss kann schwarzer oder grüner Tee sein. Davon zu unterscheiden sind teeähnliche Erzeugnisse, die sogenannten Kräuterund Früchtetees.
Tee kochen ist somit auch nicht gleich Tee kochen. Um wertvolle
Inhaltsstoffe und den Geschmack zu erhalten, werden Tees mit
unterschiedlich heißem Wasser aufgegossen und unterschiedlich
lange ziehen gelassen. Grüner Tee wird z.B. bevorzugt mit 85°C
heißem Wasser zubereitet. In jedem Fall sollte man die Zubereitungsangaben auf der Verpackung einhalten.
Für die Zubereitung von Tee nach dem „Samowar Prinzip“ gehen
Sie wie folgt vor:
Füllen Sie das Teesieb der Teekanne mit Teeblättern (pro
Tasse ca. 1 Teelöffel) oder die Teekanne (ohne Sieb) mit
Teebeuteln (1 Teebeutel für ca. 1-2 Tassen).
Verschließen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit dem Deckel (siehe
Kapitel Wasserbehälter mit Deckel verschließen) und setzen Sie anschließend die Teekanne darauf. So wird gleichzeitig die Teekanne vorgewärmt.
Bringen Sie das Wasser im Wasserbehälter zum Kochen.
Nehmen Sie die Teekanne vom Wasserbehälter ab.
WARNUNG
Verbrennungsgefahr durch heißen Wasserdampf!
Beim Abnehmen der Teekanne kann heißer Wasserdampf
entweichen.
Benutzen Sie Topappen und nehmen Sie die Teekanne ►
vorsichtig ab.

Es kann etwas Kondenswasser vom Teekannenboden ►
tropfen.

Halten Sie die Teekanne unter den Ablasshahn und über-
brühen Sie den Tee mit dem kochenden Wasser aus dem
Wasserbehälter (siehe Kapitel Ablasshahn bedienen).
HINWEIS
Füllen Sie max. 1,2 Liter/1,5 Liter (je nach Modell) in die ►
Teekanne. Informationen über die Teekannengröße entnehmen Sie bitte dem Kapitel Technischen Daten im Anhang.
Je mehr Teeblätter oder Teebeutel und je weniger Wasser ►
Sie in die Teekanne füllen, desto stärker wird das Teekon-
zentrat (Pros genießen den Aufguss mit exakt 2,86 g Tee
pro Tasse). Nehmen Sie lieber etwas mehr Tee, damit auch
tatsächlich ein Konzentrat in der Teekanne entsteht.
Setzen Sie die Teekanne mit dem Teekonzentrat wieder auf
den Wasserbehälter. Der im Wasserbehälter aufsteigende
Dampf hält den Tee in der Teekanne auf exakt der Temperatur, die er zum „Ziehen“ braucht.
Nach der gewünschten Ziehzeit entnehmen Sie den Tee aus
der Teekanne. Haben Sie das Teesieb verwendet, entnehmen
Sie den Tee mit dem Teesieb.
WARNUNG
Verbrennungsgefahr!
Das Teesieb ist heiß.
Benutzen Sie Topappen und entnehmen Sie das Teesieb ►
vorsichtig.
Gießen Sie aus der Teekanne das entstandene Konzentrat
in Ihr Teeglas (in beliebiger Menge), und füllen anschließend
Ihr Glas mit dem Wasser aus dem Wasserbehälter auf. So
können Sie Stärke und Geschmack Ihres Tees variieren.
HINWEIS
Die Teekanne können Sie auf dem Wasserbehälter stehen ►
lassen, während das Gerät in Betrieb ist, damit Sie jederzeit
wieder heißen Tee und Wasser nachgießen können.
Stellen Sie den Drehkopf auf Intervallkochen (siehe Kapitel
Intervallkochen).

Grüner Tee
Auch grüner Tee kann im Samowar zubereitet werden. Er sollte
in der Regel nicht mit sprudelnd kochendem Wasser übergossen
werden, er schmeckt dann eventuell leicht bitter. Je nach Sorte
liegt die ideale Wassertemperatur bei 50 – 70 °C. Die meisten
Grüntees entfalten den optimalen Geschmack bei ca. 70 °C. Je
hochwertiger der Grüntee, desto niedriger die optimale Wassertemperatur. Hochwertigste Tees werden mit 50 – 60 °C heißem
Wasser gebrüht.
Normale Grüntees müssen etwa 1 - 3 Minuten ziehen, während
hochwertige Grüntees nur etwa 1 - 1½ Minuten ziehen müssen.
Grüner Tee wird grundsätzlich schwächer dosiert als schwarzer
Tee.
Für die Zubereitung von grünem Tee gehen Sie wie im Kapitel
Schwarzer Tee beschrieben vor. Folgende Änderungen sind zu
berücksichtigen:
Dosierung:
Füllen Sie das Teesieb der Teekanne mit Teeblättern (etwa
1 g pro 100 ml oder etwa 1 gestrichener Teelöffel auf 200 ml
Wasser) oder die Teekanne (ohne Sieb) mit Teebeuteln (dosieren Sie bitte nach den Angaben des Herstellers).
Nachdem das Wasser gekocht hat:
Wärmen Sie die Tassen vor, indem Sie etwas heißes Wasser
einfüllen (die Teekanne ist durch Ihre Platzierung auf dem
Wasserbehälter während des Kochvorganges bereits vorgewärmt).
Drehen Sie den Drehknopf auf die Position zurück
und lassen Sie das Wasser ca. 5-6 Minuten abkühlen. Den
Tee dann mit dem heißen Wasser aus dem Wasserbehälter
überbrühen.

Kräutertee
WARNUNG
Gesundheitsrisiko durch Keime!
Bei falscher Zubereitung besteht durch Keime in Kräuterteemischungen ein Gesundheitsrisiko.
Kräuter-, Früchte-, Rooibusch- und Gewürztees (lose und ►
Teebeutel) immer mit sprudelnd kochendem Wasser aufgießen und mindestens 5 - 10 Minuten ziehen lassen! Nur so
erhalten Sie ein sicheres Lebensmittel!
Aufgegossenen Kräutertee nicht über mehrere Stunden ►
stehen lassen.
In Kräuterteemischungen können in seltenen Fällen Keime
enthalten sein, die durch Erhitzen über einen längeren Zeitraum
abgetötet werden. Bei falscher Zubereitung können diese zu
einem Gesundheitsrisiko vor allem für Säuglinge, kleine Kinder
und Kranke werden.
Aufgegossener Tee darf nicht über mehrere Stunden stehen gelassen werden, denn durch das kochende Wasser werden zwar
die Keime abgetötet, im Tee vorhandene Sporen jedoch nicht.
Diese können im warmen Wasser auskeimen.
Trockenlaufschutz zurücksetzen
Durch die rote Kontrollleuchte wird angezeigt, dass der
Trockenlaufschutz ausgelöst wurde. Um den Trockenlaufschutz
zurückzusetzen, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.
Füllen Sie frisches Wasser in den Wasserbehälter.
Warten Sie etwa 5-10 Minuten, bis das Gerät abgekühlt ist.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät wieder in Betrieb.

Entkalken
Der Wasserbehälter muss, je nach Benutzungshäugkeit und
Wasserqualität, etwa alle 1 - 2 Wochen entkalkt werden.
Entleeren Sie das Gerät nach jeder Benutzung. ■
Reinigen Sie das Gerät und alle Zubehörteile danach mit ei- ■
nem feuchten Tuch und eventuell mit etwas handelsüblichem
Spülmittel.
Spülen Sie die Teekanne und den Wasserbehälter mit klarem ■
Wasser gut aus.

Zum Entkalken des Wasserbehälters gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter mit Wasser und etwas Entkal-
kungsmittel oder Essigessenz und lassen Sie die Mischung
kurz aufkochen.
Lassen Sie die Entkalkungsmischung einige Zeit einwirken.
Schwenken Sie den Behälter einige Male aus und gießen Sie
die Entkalkungsmischung mit den gelösten Kalkrückständen
aus. Lassen Sie einen Teil der Entkalkungslösung durch den
Ablasshahn ablaufen, um auch diesen von Kalkrückständen
zu befreien.
Spülen Sie mit klarem Wasser nach, und lassen Sie dieses
ebenfalls durch den Ablasshahn ablaufen.

Lagerung
Sollten Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benötigen, reinigen Sie
das Gerät wie im Kapitel Reinigung und Pege beschrieben, um
Schimmelbildung zu vermeiden. Schimmelpilze können Flecken
und Beschädigungen am Gerät herbeiführen, die sich nicht mehr
entfernen lassen.
Entsorgung
Dieses Produkt darf innerhalb der Europäischen Gemeinschaft
nicht im normalen Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät gemäß der Elektro- und Elektronik

Wir garantieren für die einwandfreie Beschaffenheit dieses Qualitätsprodukts. Innerhalb der Garantiezeit beheben wir kostenlos
alle Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler.
Für dieses Produkt beträgt die Garantiezeit 2 Jahre.
Bei einer gewerblichen oder gleichzustellenden Nutzung z.B. in
Hotels, Pensionen oder Gemeinschaftsanlagen, oder wenn der
Kunde kein Verbraucher im Sinne des Bürgerlichen Gesetzbuchs
ist, beträgt die Garantiezeit 6 Monate. Der Gewährleistungsausschluss bleibt hiervon unberührt.

Improper use can, however, result in personal injury and/or appliance damage.
Fundamental safety precautions
For safe use of the appliance, observe the following fundamental
safety precautions and the precautions described separately in
the individual chapters:
Inspect the appliance for visible signs of damage before use. ■
Do not use a damaged appliance.
Do not remove the rating plate or any warning signs on the ■
appliance.
Do not use the appliance outdoors. ■

Do not use the appliance if the connecting lead or mains ►

On no account should the housing of the appliance be ►

Do not open the lid of the water tank when the water is ►
boiling.

Take off the teapot carefully. Hot steam escapes from the lid ►
of the water tank and can cause scalding.
Fill the appliance only up to the Max. mark. Overlling can ►
cause hot water to splash out.
Always allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning. ►
Safety installations
The appliance is equipped with dry running protection.
NOTE
Should you forget to rell the appliance with water, a safety ►
switch will automatically turn off the heater.

In order not to unintentionally deactivate the safety device:
Do not operate the appliance with a timer or similar device. ►

Unpacking
Proceed as follows when unpacking the appliance:
Remove the teapot, the lid of the water tank, the water tank
and the drip tray with cover from the box carton.
Remove the packaging material.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport
damage. The packaging materials have been selected according
to environmental and waste disposal aspects and can therefore
be recycled.
The return of the packaging to the material cycle helps conserve
raw materials and reduces the production of waste. When no
longer required, dispose of the packaging materials in accordance with the local regulations in force.
NOTE
Keep the original packaging, if possible, during the warranty ►
period in order to be able to pack the appliance properly in
the event of a warranty claim. Transport damage will void all
warranty claims.
Demands on the installation location
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the installation location must satisfy the following requirements:
The appliance must be set up on a horizontal, heat-resistant ■
and stable surface.
Do not install the appliance in a hot, wet or very humid envi- ■
ronment or in the vicinity of inammable materials.
Stand the appliance on a water-resistant surface. Splashing ■
water can cause damage.

Select the installation location such that children cannot come ■
into contact with hot surfaces of the appliance.
Do not install the appliance under a wall cabinet. ■
The plug socket must be easily accessible so that the mains ■
plug can be easily pulled out in an emergency.
Electrical connection
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the following
instructions must be observed for the electrical connection:
Before connecting the appliance, check the connection data ■
(voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your
mains power supply. This data must correspond in order to
avoid damage to the appliance. If in doubt, ask a qualied
electrician.
The plug socket must be protected by at least a 10 A circuit ■
breaker.
Ensure that the connecting lead is undamaged and is not laid ■
over hot surfaces or sharp edges.
The connecting lead must not be strained or come into contact ■
with the hot appliance.
Lay the connecting lead in such a way that it does not pose a ■
tripping hazard.
The appliance may only be connected to a multiple plug ■
socket with a cable cross-section of 1.5 mm².
The ■ electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when
it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE)
conductor system. Connection to a plug socket without PE
conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, have the house installation
checked by a qualied electrician.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage
caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.

Fitting the drip tray
The drip tray (11) must be installed before using the appliance.
Proceed as follows to install the drip tray:
Position the drip tray in front of the appliance so that the ar-
row on the drip tray and the arrow on the appliance base are
aligned.
Lift the appliance slightly.
Push the drip tray under the appliance so that the groove in
the drip tray ts under the edge of the appliance base.
Lower the appliance again and the drip tray is clamped under
the edge of the base.
Place the cover (12) onto the drip tray.
Operate delivery tap
To draw water from the water tank, proceed as follows:
Touch mode
Press the lever (17) downwards. The delivery tap (16) opens. To
close the delivery tap again, simply release the lever.

Continuous mode
Press the lever (17) completely to the rear. It locks in this position.
The delivery tap (16) opens. To close the delivery tap again, pull
the lever forwards.
Close water tank with lid
The lid (19) of the water tank (7) has a locking mechanism. To
close the water tank with the lid, proceed as follows:
Place the lid onto the water tank so that the mark on the lid
is aligned with the symbol on the upper edge of the water
tank.
Lower the lid onto the water tank, then turn it in clockwise
direction until the mark on the lid is above the symbol . The
lid is locked.

NOTE
To remove the lid, rst turn the lid in anti-clockwise direction ►
towards the symbol to unlock the lid and then simply lift
off the lid.
NOTE
The lid locking device is installed only on the model series ►
3005, 3006 and 3008.
Switch on appliance
Fill the water tank with the required amount of water, but not
higher than the Max. mark on the tank.
Place the lid onto the water tank (see chapter Close water
tank with lid).
Place the teapot on the water tank.
NOTE
Ensure that the rotary knob is turned completely in anti- ►
clockwise direction. Only then insert the plug into the plug
socket.
Turn the rotary knob in clockwise direction until the desired
setting is reached.
The thermostat permits a stepless setting of the water temperature. You have the choice between the following settings: warm,
hot, boiling (intermittent boiling).
Warm/hot
If you turn the rotary knob to position or , the water will
be heated to the corresponding temperature and then held at this
temperature.
Boiling
If you turn the rotary knob completely in clockwise direction to position , the water will be boiled quickly. If you leave the rotary
knob in this position, the water will boil continuously until it has
completely evaporated.

Intermittent boiling
When the water is boiling, turn the rotary knob back until the
indicator light goes out. This switches the appliance to
intermittent boiling. The thermostat switches on and the water is
heated again only when the temperature of the water drops. The
thermostat thus regulates the power supply as necessary and
saves a great deal of energy. As the thermostat switches on and
off, so the indicator light comes on and goes out.
Switch off appliance
Proceed as follows to switch off the appliance:
Turn the rotary knob (8) completely in anti-clockwise direction
up to the position , thereby overcoming the slight resist-
ance. The indicator light goes out.
Remove the mains plug from the plug socket if the appliance
is not used for prolonged periods.
Rell with water
WARNING
Risk of burns from hot steam!
When lling the hot water tank, steam can escape and cause
burns.
Allow the appliance to cool down for a few minutes before ►
relling with water.
Proceed as follows to rell the appliance with water:
Switch off the appliance.
Allow the appliance to cool down.
Fill the water tank with fresh water.

Tea making using the "Samovar principle"
Black tea
Tea is not just tea. Strictly speaking, tea is exclusively a watery
infusion of the tea plant camellia sinensis. This infusion can be
black or green tea. A distinction must be made between this and
tea-like products, the herbal and fruit teas.
Making tea is therefore not always the same thing. In order to retain the precious constituents and the taste, teas are brewed with
water at different temperatures and allowed to steep for different
lengths of time. Green tea, for example, is preferably made with
the water at 85 °C. In all cases the preparation instructions on the
pea package should be observed.
To prepare tea following the "Samovar principle", proceed as follows:
Fill the tea strainer of the teapot with tea leaves (roughly 1
teaspoon per cup) or place tea bags (1 tea bag for roughly
1-2 cups) into the teapot (without strainer).
Close the water tank with the lid (see chapter Close water
tank with lid) and then place the teapot on the water tank.
The teapot is thus preheated at the same time.
Allow the water in the water tank to boil.
Take the teapot off the water tank.
WARNING
Risk of burns from hot steam!
Hot steam can escape when removing the teapot.
Use pot cloths and take off the teapot carefully. ►
NOTE
Some condensation may drip off the bottom of the teapot. ►

Hold the teapot under the delivery tap and pour the boiling
water from the water tank over the tea (see chapter Operate
delivery tap).
NOTE
Pour max. 1.2 litres/1.5 litres (depending on the model) into ►
the teapot. Information on the teapot size can be found in
chapter Technical data in the Annex.
The more tea leaves or tea bags and the less water you ►
use in the teapot, the stronger the tea concentrate will be
(professionals enjoy the infusion with exactly 2.86 g of tea
per cup). Use by preference slightly more tea so that a real
concentrate is produced in the teapot.
Place the teapot with the tea concentrate on the water tank
again. The steam rising from the water tank keeps the tea in
the teapot at exactly the temperature it needs to "steep".
After the desired steeping time, serve the tea from the teapot.
If you have used the tea strainer, take out the tea strainer
with the tea.
WARNING
Danger of burns!
The tea strainer is hot.
Use pot cloths and take out the tea strainer carefully. ►
Pour the concentrate produced in the teapot into your tea
glass (as much as desired), and then ll up your glass with
the water from the water tank. This allows you to vary the
strength and taste of your tea.
NOTE
You can leave the teapot standing on the water tank while ►
the appliance is in operation so that you can add hot tea
and hot water again at any time.
Turn the rotary knob to intermittent boiling (see chapter Inter-
mittent boiling).

Green tea can also be prepared in the samovar. It should not
normally be infused with still boiling water, as it may then taste
slightly bitter. Depending on the type, the ideal water temperature is 50 – 70 °C. Most green teas develop the optimum taste at
around 70 °C. The higher the quality of the green tea, the lower
the optimum water temperature. The highest quality teas are
brewed at a water temperature of 50 – 60 °C.
Normal green teas have to steep for around 1 - 3 minutes, while
high-quality green teas have to steep for only around 1 - 1½
minutes.
Green tea is always prepared less strong than black tea.
To prepare green tea, proceed as described in the chapter Black
tea. Observe the following differences:
Dosing:
Fill the tea strainer of the teapot with tea leaves (roughly 1 g
per 100 ml or roughly 1 level teaspoon for 200 ml water) or
place tea bags (dosage according to the producer's instructions) into the teapot (without strainer).
When the water has boiled:
Preheat the cups by lling them with some hot water (the
teapot has already been preheated by placing it on the water
tank during the boiling process).
Turn the rotary knob back to position and allow the water
to cool down for approx. 5-6 minutes. Then pour the hot water
from the water tank over the tea.

Herbal tea
WARNING
Health risk from germs!
If incorrectly prepared, the germs in herbal tea mixtures can
create a health risk.
Always pour boiling water over herbal, fruit, rooibos and ►
spice teas (loose and in tea bags) and allow to steep for at
least 5 - 10 minutes! Only then can you be sure that the tea
is safe!
Do not allow prepared herbal tea to stand for several hours. ►
In rare cases, herbal tea mixtures may contain germs that are
killed off by heating for a prolonged period. If incorrectly prepared,
these can become a health risk for babies, small children and sick
people.
Brewed tea must not be allowed to stand for several hours, because although the germs are killed off by the boiling water, the
spores in the tea are not. These can germinate in the warm water.
Reset the dry running protection
The red indicate light signals that the dry running protection
has tripped. To reset the dry running protection, proceed as follows:
Switch off the appliance.
Fill the water tank with fresh water.
Wait around 5-10 minutes for the appliance to cool down.
Switch on the appliance again.

Descaling
Depending on the frequency of use and the water quality, the
water tank has to be descaled roughly every 1-2 weeks.
Empty the appliance after every use. ■
Then clean the appliance and all accessories with a damp ■
cloth, if necessary with a little commercial detergent.
Rinse out the teapot and the water tank well with clear water. ■
NOTE
For regular care and also for removal of stubborn stains, we ►
recommend the use of INOX METAL POLISH from Beem.
This polish returns the original gloss to your appliances. It is
available in tubes and is suitable not only for cooking utensils, but also for all other objects of stainless steel, chrome,

To descale the water tank, proceed as follows:
Fill the water tank with water and a little descaling agent or
vinegar essence and allow the mixture to boil briey.
Allow the descaling mixture to work for a short time.
Swirl the tank a few times and then pour out the descaling
mixture with the removed scale residues. Allow some of the
descaling mixture to run through the delivery tap to clean this
of scale residues, too.
Rinse out with clear water and allow this also to run through
the delivery tap.

latest manufacturing methods.
We guarantee the perfect condition of this quality product. Within
the warranty period, we will remedy any faults due to material
aws or manufacturing faults free of charge.
The warranty period for this appliance is 2 years.
For commercial or equivalent use, e.g. in hotels, guest houses
or communal premises, or if the customer is not a consumer as
dened by the German Civil Code, the warranty period is 6
months. This does not infringe the warranty disclaimer.
Warranty disclaimer: The warranty does not cover faults caused
in particular by improper use, failure to observe the instruction
manual and safety precautions, use of force, modications, unauthorised attempted repairs and attempted repairs by unqualied
third parties. Also excluded are faults caused by normal wear.
If we are obliged by law to provide a warranty we will – to the
exclusion of the right to cancellation or price reduction – meet
this obligation – at our discretion – by repairing or replacing the

Déballage
Veuillez procéder comme suit pour déballer l'appareil :
Sortez du carton le pot à thé, le couvercle du réservoir d'eau,
le réservoir d'eau et la cuvette de propreté avec le capot.
Retirez les matériaux d'emballage.
Elimination de l'emballage
L'emballage protège l'appareil contre les dommages dûs au
transport. Les matériaux d'emballage sont sélectionnés selon des
aspects écologiques et techniques d'élimination, c'est pourquoi ils
sont recyclables.
La remise en circulation de l'emballage dans le circuit de matériel
économise des matières premières et elle réduit la production
de déchets. Eliminez les matériaux d'emballage non nécessités
conformément aux directives locales en vigueur.
INDICATION
Si possible, conservez l'emballage original pendant la ►
période de garantie de l'appareil an de pouvoir l'emballer
de manière conforme en cas de garantie. Tous dommages
survenus pendant le transport entraînent l'extinction du droit

Branchement électrique
An que l'appareil fonctionne de manière sûre et sans défaut, il
convient de respecter les consignes suivantes lors du branchement électrique :
Avant de brancher l'appareil, comparez les données de rac- ■
cordement (tension et fréquence) sur la plaque signalétique
avec celles de votre réseau électrique. Pour qu'aucun dommage ne se produise sur l'appareil, ces données doivent être

Monter la cuvette de propreté
Avant l'utilisation de l'appareil, la cuvette de propreté (11) doit
être montée. Pour le montage de la cuvette de propreté, veuillez
procéder comme suit :
Positionnez la cuvette de propreté devant l'appareil de
manière à ce que la èche de marquage sur la cuvette de
propreté et celle sur le socle de l'appareil coïncident.
Levez un peu l'appareil.
Poussez la cuvette de propreté au-dessous de l'appareil de
manière à ce que la rainure sur la cuvette se trouve au-dessous de la bordure du socle de l'appareil.
Abaissez l'appareil, la cuvette de propreté est bloquée au-
dessous de la bordure.
Posez le capot (12) sur la cuvette de propreté.
Utiliser le robinet de vidange
An de prélever de l'eau du réservoir d'eau, veuillez procéder
comme suit :
Fonctionnement par impulsion
Appuyez le levier (17) vers le bas. Le robinet de vidange (16)
s'ouvre. Pour refermer le robinet de vidange, relâchez le levier.

Basculez complètement le levier (17) vers l'arrière. Il s'encrante
dans cette position. Le robinet de vidange (16) s'ouvre. Pour

Fermer le réservoir d'eau avec le couvercle
Le couvercle (19) du réservoir d'eau (7) est équipé d'un blocage.
An de fermer le réservoir d'eau avec le couvercle, veuillez procéder comme suit :
Mettez en place le couvercle sur le réservoir d'eau de ma-
nière à ce que le marquage sur le couvercle se trouve au
dessus du symbole sur la bordure supérieure du réservoir
d'eau.
Abaissez le couvercle sur le réservoir d'eau, puis tournez-le
ensuite dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce
que le marquage sur le couvercle se trouve au dessus du

INDICATION
Pour retirer le couvercle, commencez par le tourner dans ►
le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre dans la direction
du symbole pour le débloquer puis soulevez ensuite le
couvercle vers le haut.

Le verrouillage du couvercle est uniquement valable pour les ►
séries de modèles 3005, 3006 et 3008.
Mettre l'appareil en service
Versez de l'eau fraîche en quantité souhaitée dans le réser-
voir d'eau, mais au maximum jusqu'au marquage maximal du
niveau de remplissage.
Remettez le couvercle sur le réservoir d'eau (voir le chapitre
Fermer le réservoir d'eau avec le couvercle).
Mettez en place le pot à thé dessus.
INDICATION
Assurez-vous que le bouton tournant est vissé jusqu'à la ►
butée dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre.
Branchez alors la che réseau dans la prise.
Tournez le bouton tournant dans le sens des aiguilles d'une
montre jusqu'à ce que vous ayez atteint la position souhaitée.
Le thermostat permet le réglage continu de la température de
l'eau. Vous avez le choix entre les réglages suivants : chaud, très
chaud, bouillant (chauffe par intervalles).
Chaud/Très chaud
Si vous mettez le bouton tournant aux positions ou ,
l'eau est réchauffée jusqu'à la température respective et maintenue à cette température.
Chauffe
Si vous tournez le bouton tournant jusqu'à la butée à la position
, l'eau va chauffer rapidement. Si vous maintenez le bouton
tournant dans cette position, l'eau bout de façon ininterrompue
jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit complètement évaporée.

Chauffe par intervalles
Une fois que l'eau bout, retournez en arrière avec le bouton
tournant jusqu'à ce que le voyant de contrôle s'éteint. Vous
mettez ainsi l'appareil en chauffe par intervalles. Le thermostat se
remet seulement en marche et recommence à chauffer lorsque
la température de l'eau baisse. Le thermostat régule de cette
manière l'alimentation en énergie selon les besoins, économisant ainsi beaucoup d'énergie. Durant le cycle du thermostat, les
voyants de contrôle s'allument et s'éteignent.
Arrêter l'appareil
Veuillez procéder comme suit pour arrêter l'appareil :
Si vous tournez le bouton tournant (8) dans le sens inverse des
aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à la butée à la position , vous
surmontez alors la résistance facile. Le voyant de contrôle

Préparation de tizanes selon le « principe Samowar »
Thé noir
Toutes les infusions ne sont pas du thé. Pour les puristes, le thé
est uniquement une infusion aqueuse de la plante du thé Camellia sinensis. Cette infusion peut donner du thé noir ou du thé vert.
Il faut distinguer de cette boisson les produits similaires au thé,
comme les infusions aux herbes ou aux fruits.
Par conséquent, faire une infusion ne signie pas automatiquement faire du thé. An de conserver les substances précieuses et
le goût, les thés infusent avec des eaux chaudes de températures
différentes, dans lesquelles ils macèrent pendant des durées
différentes. Par exemple, le thé vert sera préparé de préférence
avec de l'eau chaude à 85 °C. En tous les cas, il convient de
respecter les indications de préparation sur l'emballage.
Veuillez procéder comme suit pour la préparation de thé selon le
« principe Samowar » :
Remplissez le ltre du pot à thé de feuilles de thé (par tasse
env. 1 cuillère à café rase) ou le pot à thé (sans ltre) de
sachets de thé (1 sachet de thé pour env. 1 à 2 tasses).
Remettez le couvercle sur le réservoir d'eau (voir le chapitre
Fermer le réservoir d'eau avec le couvercle) et remettez
ensuite le pot à thé dessus. Le pot à thé sera ainsi réchauffé
à l'occasion.
Faîtes bouillir l'eau dans le réservoir d'eau.
Retirez le pot à thé du réservoir d'eau.
AVERTISSEMENT

En retirant le pot à thé, de la vapeur d'eau très chaude peut se
dégager.
Utilisez des gants de cuisson et retirez le pot à thé avec ►

Mettez le pot à thé au-dessous du robinet de vidange et suré-
chaudez le thé avec l'eau bouillante du réservoir d'eau (voir
le chapitre Utiliser le robinet de vidange).
INDICATION
Remplissez 1,2 litres/1,5 litres maxi (selon le modèle) dans ►
le pot à thé. Pour toute information sur les formats de pots à
thé, veuillez consulter le chapitre Données techniques en
annexe.
Plus vous mettrez de feuilles ou de sachets de thé et moins ►
vous mettrez d'eau dans le pot à thé, plus le concentré de
thé sera fort (les professionnels apprécient l'infusion avec
exactement 2,86 g de thé par tasse). De préférence, prenez
un peu plus de thé an d'obtenir aussi un concentré dans le
pot à thé.
Remettez le pot à thé avec le concentré de thé sur le réser-
voir d'eau. La vapeur montant dans le réservoir d'eau main-
tient le thé dans le pot exactement à la température qu'il faut
pour qu'il « infuse ».
A l'issue du temps d'infusion souhaitée, retirez le thé du pot à
thé. Si vous avez utilisé le ltre, retirez le thé avec le ltre.
AVERTISSEMENT
Risques de brûlure !
Le ltre est très chaud.
Utilisez des gants de cuisson et retirez le ltre avec précau- ►
tion.
Versez le concentré obtenu du pot dans votre verre à thé (en
quantité voulue) puis remplissez ensuite complètement votre
verre avec l'eau du réservoir d'eau. De cette manière, vous
pouvez faire varier la force et la saveur de votre thé.
INDICATION
Vous pouvez laisser le pot à thé sur le réservoir d'eau ►
pendant que l'appareil est en marche, an de pouvoir faire
l'appoint à tout moment de thé très chaud et d'eau.
Mettez le bouton tournant en chauffe par intervalles (voir

Thé vert
L'appareil Samowar permet aussi de préparer du thé vert. En
règle générale, il ne faut pas verser dessus d'eau bouillante à
ébullition, il risque sinon de prendre un goût légèrement amer.
Selon le type, la température idéale de l'eau est de 50 à 70 °C.
La plupart des thés vert déploient leur saveur optimale à env.
70 °C. Plus la qualité du thé vert est bonne, plus la température
optimale de l'eau sera basse. Les thés de très haute qualité sont
préparés avec de l'eau chaude de 50 à 60 °C.
Les thés verts normaux doivent infuser pendant env. 1 à 3
minutes, pendant que les thés verts de haute qualité doivent
seulement infuser pendant env. 1 à 1½ minutes.
En règle générale, le thé vert est dosé plus faible que le thé noir.
Pour la préparation de thé vert, veuillez procéder de la manière
décrite au chapitre Thé noir. Les modications suivantes doivent
être prises en compte :
Dosage :
Remplissez le ltre du pot à thé de feuilles de thé (env. 1 g
pour 100 ml ou env. 1 cuillère à café rase sur 200 ml d'eau)
ou le pot à thé (sans ltre) de sachets de thé (veuillez doser
selon les indiactions du fabricant).
Après que l'eau ait bouilli :
Préchauffez les tasses en y versant un peu d'eau très chaude
(le pot à thé est déjà préchauffé puisqu'il a été placé sur le
réservoir d'eau pendant la chauffe).
Remettez le bouton tournant à la position et laissez re-
froidir l'eau env. 5 à 6 minutes. Suréchaudez alors le thé avec
l'eau chaude du réservoir d'eau.

Infusions
AVERTISSEMENT
Risques pour la santé du fait de germes !
Une préparation erronée entraîne un risque pour la santé du fait
de la formation de germes dans les mélanges d'infusions aux
herbes.
Laissez toujours infuser les infusions aux herbes, aux fruits, ►
au thé rouge et aux condiments (en vrac et en sachet) avec
de l'eau bouillante à ébullition pendant au moins 5 à 10
minutes ! Ce n'est qu'ainsi que vous obtiendrez un produit
alimentaire sûr !
Ne pas laisser reposer pendant plusieurs heures les infu- ►
sions aux herbes.
Dans de rares cas, les mélanges d'infusions aux herbes peuvent
contenir des germes qui sont tués par un réchauffement sur une
période prolongée. En cas de préparation erronée, ceux-ci
peuvent impliquer un risque pour la santé, notamment des nourrissons, des jeunes enfants et des malades.
Il est interdit de laisser du thé infusé macérer pendant plusieurs
heures, puisque l'eau bouillante tue peut-être les germes, mais
pas les spores présentes dans le thé. Celles-ci peuvent germer
dans l'eau chaude.
Réinitialiser la protection contre le fonctionnement à sec
Le voyant de contrôle rouge indique que la protection contre
le fonctionnement à sec a été déclenchée. Veuillez procéder
comme suit pour réinitialiser la protection contre le fonctionnement à sec :
Arrêtez l'appareil.
Versez de l'eau fraîche dans le réservoir d'eau.
Attendez env. 5 à 10 minutes jusqu'à ce que l'appareil soit
refroidi.
Remettez l'appareil en service.

Veuillez procéder comme suit pour détartrer le réservoir d'eau :
Remplissez le réservoir d'eau avec de l'eau et un peu de dé-
tartrant ou d'essence de vinaigre et faîtes bouillir brièvement
le mélange.
Laissez agir le mélange détartrant quelques instants.
Faîtes pivoter le réservoir plusieurs fois et videz le mélange
détartrant avec les résidus de calcaire décollés. Laissez une
partie de la solution détartrante s'écouler à travers le robinet
de vidange pour le libérer aussi des résidus de calcaire.
Rincez à l'eau claire et laissez celle-ci également s'écouler
par le robinet de vidange.

Rangement
Si vous n'utilisez pas l'appareil pendant une période prolongée,
nettoyez-le de la manière décrite au chapitre Nettoyage et en-
tretien an d'éviter la formation de moisissures. Les moisissures
peuvent entraîner des taches et des dommages impossibles à
éliminer sur l'appareil.
Elimination
A l'intérieur de l'Union européenne, ce produit ne doit pas être
mis aux ordures ménagères normales.
Eliminer l'appareil selon la directive CE 2002/96/DEEE sur les
appareils usagés électriques et électroniques (Déchets d'Equipements Electriques et Electroniques). En cas de question, veuillez
vous adresser au service compétent de votre commune pour la
collecte des déchets.
Veillez à ce que votre appareil usagé soit rangé hors de portée
des enfants avant son ramassage.
