This instruction manual contains information about installation, operation and
maintenance of the appliance and constitutes an important source of information
and reference guide. The knowledge of all operational and safety instructions
included in this manual is a prerequisite for safe and proper handling of the
appliance. Additionally, accident prevention, occupational health and safety, and
legal regulations in force in the area the appliance is used apply.
Before you start using the appliance, especially before turning it on, read this

1 Safety
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with technical standards
currently in force. However, the appliance may be a source of hazards if used
improperly or contrary to its intended purpose. All persons using the appliance must
consider information included in this instruction manual and observe safety

Electrical Current
• Too high a mains voltage or incorrect installation may cause electric shock.
• The appliance may be connected only if data on the rating plate correspond with
the mains voltage.
• To avoid short-circuit, the appliance should be kept dry.
• If there are malfunctions during operation, disconnect the appliance from the
power supply.
• Do not touch the appliance’s plug with wet hands.
• Never take hold of the appliance if it has fallen into water. Immediately

regulations in force, current level of technical engineering knowledge as well as our
expertise and experience, developed over the years. If special models or additional
options are ordered, or state-of-the-art technical solutions were implemented, the
actual scope of delivery of the appliance may, in some circumstances, differ from
descriptions and numerous drawings in this instruction manual.
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages nor faults stemming from:

Transport, Packaging and Storage

3 Transport, Packaging and Storage
3.1Delivery Check
Immediately upon reception, check the delivery for completeness and possible
shipping damage. In the case of visible transport damage refuse to accept the
appliance or accept it conditionally. Mark and note the scope of damage in shipping
documents/consignment list of the shipping company and lodge a complaint.
Concealed damage must be reported immediately upon its discovery, as
compensation claims may only be filed within applicable time limits.
If you find that parts or accessories missing, please contact our Customer Service
Department.
3.2 Packaging
Do not dispose of the appliance cardboard box. It may be used to store the
appliance when relocating or when shipping the appliance to our service point in the
case of any damages.
The packaging and its elements are made of recyclable materials. Particularly,
these are: plastic films and bags, cardboard box.
When disposing of the packaging, observe applicable domestic regulations.
Recyclable packaging materials should be recycled.
3.3 Storage
Leave the packaging closed until installation of the appliance; observe external
indications concerning method of placing and storage. Store the packaging in the
following conditions only:
– in closed rooms;
– in dry and dust-free surrounding;
– away from aggressive agents;
– in a location protected against sunlight;
– in a location protected against mechanical shocks.
In the case of extended storage (over three months), make sure you check the
condition of the packaging and the parts regularly. If needed, replace the packaging
with a new one.

5 Installation and operation
5.1Installation
Unpacking / Positioning
• Unpack the appliance, remove all external and internal packaging elements and
shipment safeguards.
• If the appliance is covered with a protective film, remove it. Remove the film
slowly, so no glue residues are left. Remove any glue residues with the use of a
suitable solvent.
• Be careful not to damage the rating plate and warning labels fixed on the
appliance.
• Never place the appliance in humid or wet environment.
• Place the appliance in a way making the connections easily accessible, so that
they may be quickly disconnected if such a need arises.
• The appliance should be placed on surfaces that are:
– even, with sufficient bearing capacity, resistant to water, dry and resistant
to high temperatures;
– sufficiently large, and thus enabling usage of the appliance with no
problems;
– easily accessible;
– well ventilated.
• Maintain sufficient clearance from table edges. The appliance might turn over
and fall down.
• Leave at least 20 cm clearance from flammable walls and items.

CAUTION!
If the transport protection is not removed or if it is not fully removed,
this may lead to the appliance being damaged.
Before starting the appliance, remove entire transport protection.
Keep all elements for re-use if the appliance is to be transported again or
moved to another location.
– lift the cover of the appliance,
– undo the fastening knob (A) and remove
the cover (B) (Fig. 3),
– remove fastening rods (C),
– before using the appliance make sure you
re-fit the cover (B) for closing the drying
bowl,
– before starting the appliance make sure
you re-fit the cover.
– re-fit the cover (B) and tighten it securely with the fastening knob (A).

Transport Protection Removal
In order to remove the transport protection, proceed in the following way:
Power supply connection
• Verify if technical data of the appliance (see rating plate) correspond with the
local electric power grid specification.
• Connect the appliance to a single, properly grounded mains socket with
protective contact. Do not connect the appliance to a multi-socket.
• The power cord should be laid in a way preventing anyone from threading on it
or tripping against it.

When the appliance is switched on, it indicates that the

When the appliance is switched on, it indicates that the
maize granulate has an optimum operating temperature.

When the appliance is switched on, it indicates that
maize granulate is being heated up.
When the appliance is switched off, it indicates that the
maize granulate has an optimum operating temperature.

Operation Description
Switch-On Phase
1. Plug the appliance into a suitable single socket.
2. Press the ON/OFF switch (2) to switch the appliance on.
The cutlery polishing machine is ready for operation.
3. Press the 'START' key (3) to start the appliance.
Drying Cycle
1. Wait for the appliance to reach the operating temperature.
The 'Operating Temperature Reached' LED indicator light (6) will light up
concurrently with the 'Heating' LED indicator light (7).
2. Operate the appliance as described in section 'Loading the Cutlery Polishing
Machine'.
Switch-Off Phase
1. After using the appliance, press the END key (3) to start the appliance’s switch-
off phase.
The appliance is switched off after approx. 10 minutes, whereas 'Power' / 'Cycle
Switch-Off' LED indicator light (5) is flashing.
When this time elapses the appliance stops and the 'Power' / 'Cycle Switch-Off'
LED indicator light (5) remains on in continuous mode for the remaining duration of
the drying cycle.
The switch-off phase is necessary to allow for full drying of the maize granulate.
Loading Appliance with Maize Granulate
1. Switch the appliance on by pressing the ON/OFF switch (2) and then press the
START key (3).
2. Slowly fill the cutlery input opening to the right side or at the top with appropriate
maize granulate.
NOTE!
Always add the exact quantity of the maize granulate, as presented in the
'Technical Data' table for a given appliance.

CAUTION!
Never leave the cutlery polishing machine on if the drier's drum has not
been filled with the maize granulate to avoid overheating and damaging
the housing of the drier's drum.
Loading the Cutlery Polishing Machine
1. Switch the appliance on by pressing the ON/OFF switch (2).
2. Press the 'START' key (3) to start the appliance.
3. Before you put the cutlery in the cutlery input opening wait for the 'Heating' LED
indicator light (7) to light up.
CAUTION!
Load the appliance with properly cleaned cutlery (no fat or oil residues)
only, to avoid damaging the surface of the drier’s drum.
4. Place the supplied cutlery collection basket (Art. No.110431, Fig. 7) or cutlery
collection sieve (Art. No. 110432, Fig. 8) under the cutlery output opening.
5. Place the cutlery for drying into the cutlery input opening at the side (Art. No.
110431, Fig. 5) or on the top (Art. No. 110432, Fig. 6)
NOTE!
Load the cutlery to the cutlery input opening adding them gradually to
avoid mixing them up.

In the upper area of the cutlery output
opening there is a blower which prevents
the granulate from leaving the appliance
with cutlery.
Moreover, the UV lamp installed there
disinfects cutlery (Fig. 9).

Cutlery Drying / Cutlery Output
Cutlery goes into the drier’s drum with the maize granulate and is dried there (Fig.
10).
After the drying phase, cutlery leaves the cutlery polishing machine through the
cutlery output opening and go to the cutlery collection basket (Fig. 7) or to the
cutlery collection sieve with the cutlery collection basket (Fig. 8).

1. If a cutlery piece is stuck in the
appliance and it blocks the transport
channel, open the appliance cover.
As soon as the cover is opened, a microswitch in the cover disconnects the motor
and heating element.
2. Remove the cover of the transport
channel to diagnose the malfunction and
troubleshoot it (Fig. 10).

3. Reinstall removed elements, close the cover and continue the drying process.
Switching the Appliance Off
1. If the appliance is not to be used any more, it should be switched off with the
START/END key.
The appliance continues to work for approx. 10 min. and dries the granulate. As
soon as the time elapses, the appliance switches off.
2. Unplug the appliance.
Maize Granulate Replacement
ATTENTION!
Electronic counter counts the operating hours of the appliance. After
reaching the number of operating hours set by the manufacturer, alarm
indicator lights start flashing (see section 7 'Possible Malfunction'), which
signal a need to replace the maize granulate.
A warning light remains active in stand-by mode of the appliance, until
resetting of the hour counter. The fact that the set number of operating
hours is reached does not block further operation of the appliance.

The method of replacing the maize granulate:
1. Remove the plug from the socket.
2. Open the cover of the appliance (Fig. 11).
3. Undo the fastening knob (A) of the drier's drum cover.
4. Remove the drier's drum cover (B).
5. Remove the maize granulate from the drier’s drum as much as possible, by
hand or using a small dustpan. The rest may be removed with a vacuum
cleaner.
6. Clean the inside of the drier’s drum and dry it thoroughly.
7. Always fill with the exact quantity of the maize granulate (see 'Technical Data'
table) directly into the drier's drum of the appliance (Fig. 12).
8. To end with, attach the drier's drum cover using the fastening knob (A).
9. Close the cover of the cutlery polishing machine.
Resetting Hour Counter
1. With the appliance on, press and hold the START/END key (3) and operate the
ON/OFF switch (set to 'I' position).
2. Release the START/END key (3).
The red Alarm 1 (8) and ALARM 2 (9) LED indicator light blink for 5 seconds. Next,
the hour counter is reset to zero and the appliance is ready for operation again.

6 Cleaning
6.1Safety Instructions for Cleaning
• Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
• Leave the appliance to cool down completely.
• Make sure water does not enter the appliance. Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids during cleaning. Do not clean the appliance with a
pressurized water jet.
• Do not use any sharp or pointed, nor metal implements (knife, fork, etc.). Sharp
or pointed implements may damage the appliance, and when in contact with live
parts, they may cause electric shock.
• For cleaning, do not use any scouring agents that contain solvents nor corrosive
cleaning agents. They may damage the surface.
6.2Cleaning
Cleaning from Inside and Outside
1. Clean the appliance daily from the outside with warm water and a soft, damp
cloth.
2. Dry surfaces thoroughly with a soft cloth.
3. Clean the inside of the appliance (drier’s drum) each time when the maize
granulate is replaced. Follow the instructions in section 'Replacing Maize
Granulate'.
UV Lamp Cleaning
1. Remove the plug from the socket.
2. Open the cover of the appliance (Fig. 11).
3. Use the enclosed spanner to undo the top side fixing bolts of the appliance's
front plate and remove it.

4. Loosen the bottom side bolts (Fig. 13).
5. Use a soft cloth and carefully wipe dust
off of the fluorescent tube that might
have accumulated, for example, during
operation.
NOTE!
If possibly, try not to touch the
fluorescent tube with your hands.

6. After cleaning of the UV lamp, re-bolt the front plate.
7. Close the appliance cover.
UV Lamp Replacement
1. Remove the plug from the socket.
2. Use the enclosed spanner to undo the top side fixing bolts of the appliance's
front plate and remove it.
3. Loosen the bottom side bolts (Fig. 13).
4. Dismantle the fluorescent tube by turning it by 90° and carefully removing it.
5. Install a new fluorescent tube.
ATTENTION!
Handle the fluorescent tube carefully and, if possible, do not touch it with
bare hands not to soil the surface during installation.
6. Finally, re-bolt the front plate of the appliance.
7. Close the appliance cover.
ATTENTION!
In order to ensure proper operation, the UV lamp (fluorescent tube) should
be always replaced after 8,000 operating hours.
