Scope
These instructions describe how to replace the bladder bag in the Portable Monitor shown in Figure 1.
It is assumed that the user is familiar with the operation of the appropriate monitor. If necessary, refer to the instruction manual for
detailed operation and maintenance information. Table 1 provides a list of the appropriate instructions for each model.

• Replacement Bladder Bag Kit - PN 3015-5325 (includes bladder bag, Velcro loop, Velcro hook, and instruction sheet)
• Medium Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Small Flat Blade Screwdriver
• Tubing cutter

Disassembling the Chassis
Gain access to the bladder bag by disassembling the monitor’s metal chassis as follows:
1. Unplug battery pack from monitor.
2. Remove monitor and its battery pack from the soft carrying case.
3. Remove a total of 10 screws from the locations shown in Figure 2.
4. Carefully separate the metal chassis, being careful not to puncture the purge-air bag.

Replacing the Bladder Bag
1. Remove the tubing connection that connects the T-fitting to the bladder bag. Remove tubing from both connection points
and lay aside.
2. Remove the old bladder bag by separating the Velcro pieces on the bladder bag from those on the metal chassis.
3. Ensure that the valve on the new bladder bag is opened properly. Grasp main body and rotate valve body with a clockwise
rotation until fully closed. Then open the valve body one and one half (1.5) full turns counter-clockwise. Also, ensure that
the septum cap is snug.

4. Place the supplied Velcro directly on top of the Velcro attached to the inside of the rear panel of chassis (2 places). Remove
the adhesive release paper from the back of the attached Velcro.

5. To place bladder bag in position, fold bag in half lengthwise and insert the folded edge into the corner of the rear panel.
Hold seam in corner and open the fold to contact the adhesive side of the two Velcro pieces. Press bag firmly into place.

6. Take tubing removed in Step 1 and trim approximately ¼ inch off the stretched end of the tubing where it was connected to
the T-fitting.
7. Secure the tubing separated in step 1 by reinserting it over the T-fitting first and then over the valve opening.
8. Reassemble the chassis.
9. Perform a function check by running the “Fill Bag” and “Empty Bag” cycles several times to ensure proper operation.
