Congratulations on purchasing your Portable Digital TV.
On June 12, 2009 the conversion to digital television broadcasting will be complete throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Your portable digital television is designed to pick up both the older analog signals as well as the new digital signals. In addition, you can use your digital TV to view movies from a VCR or DVD player.
Use your portable digital TV at work or take it on vacation and relax with your favorite TV programs anywhere. Please read these instructions carefully to get the most from your new digital TV. WARNING: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
Important Safety Instructions

9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

16) CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
17) Warning: the battery pack or batteries installed shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
18) Install in accordance with the manufacture’s instructions.Do not use any cover over the TV,or enclose the AC/DC adapter,with any objects like a cloth or box which blocks the vents.This will cause the TV to overheat and present a fire hazard.Always leave sufficient space around the product for ventilation.
19) Apparatus does not have wall/ceiling mount function.
The MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric to persons.

Antenna
The TV unit is supplied with a telescoping antenna that will provide good reception in most situations. Be sure to keep the TV stationary when trying to receive a signal. Any movement of the TV can result in loss of the digital signal.
Note: You can also connect your own antenna cable to any suitable TV antenna or cable system to improve reception. For Cable TV, see section
Channel Setup for setting the antenna option to Cable.

Getting Started
Your device is also supplied with an external antenna that can be located at a short distance away from the TV to improve reception.
Simply remove the telescoping antenna by positioning the antenna vertical to the TV and gently pull up. Insert the external antenna plug and position the antenna for best reception.
AC Po we r Adapt er
The TV unit is supplied with a 120V AC Power Adapter for charging the internal battery and for powering the unit. Plug the adapter into the wall socket and plug the small DC plug into the DC jack adjacent to the power switch.
About Rechargeable Battery
Your portable TV device comes with a built-in rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. Charge the battery fully before initial use. Charging time is normally about 3 hours. A fully charged battery delivers about 2 hours to use.
When charging the battery, the charge light will turn red. When charging is complete, the light will turn blue.
When the battery is weak, an indication symbol will appear on the LCD screen and the unit will power off automatically after a few minutes.

OPEN
! If the remote controller does not operate properly, you may need to replace the battery. When the remote controller is not being used for extended periods of time, remove the battery to avoid possible damage from battery leakage.
Caution: The remote control uses a CR2025 button battery. Do not recharge, disassemble, or heat the battery. Misuse of the battery may result in leakage that will damage the remote control.

Getting Started
External DVD or VCR Connection
You can also use the TV to display a program using a DVD player or VCR.
Use the included AV cable and connect as shown.
Pay careful attention to the color codes. Yellow is for the video signal. The Red and White plugs are for the audio right and left.
Note: To change from broadcast TV mode to external Audio/Video mode.
Connecting to Earphones
You may connect stereo earphones to the headphone jack for private listening.
When earphones are connected, the speakers will automatically turn off.
Caution:
Loud volume can damage your hearing. Decrease the volume before connecting earphones, and then raise the volume back to a comfortable level.

Press the ▲▼ buttons to select adjust the internal clock when Daylight Savings Time is in effect. If your region does not observe Daylight Savings Time, turn this feature off. Press the ◄ ► buttons to select ON or OFF.

Clock
When a digital signal is present, choosing this option will display the system time.

Channel Setup
Each region has different broadcast channels. Your portable TV will scan for all the channels in the area and remember each location. You can then go through and add or delete channels individually as you prefer. When completed, pressing the up / down channel buttons will take you through all of your selected channels in sequence. Note: If you scan for broadcast channels (Air) and then switch to Cable TV, you will need to re-scan. Your TV tuner can receive both analog and digital signals.

Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Start to Scan. Press the button to start scan. The unit will automatically memorize the available channels in sequence. When completed the unit will tune the first scanned channel. To stop scanning, press Menu.

Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer service, review the steps below to solve simple problems. If you still suspect something wrong with this unit, immediately turn the power off, disconnect the power connector from the unit, and contact Customer Service.

Information
What the warranty covers:
America Action, Inc. (“AXN”) warrants your AXN products against defects in material and workmanship during the warranty period from the original date of purchase, subject to the following terms and conditions. If a product proves to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, AXN will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product with a similar product provided the purchaser adheres to certain return authorization procedures and guidelines.
How long the warranty is effective:
AXN products are warranted for one (1) year for parts and ninety (90) days for labor, starting from the original date of purchase/invoice.
What brand(s) can be covered under the warranty:
Any “ACTION” and “AXION” branded products sold by America Action, Inc.
Whom the warranty protects:
The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser within the continental of USA.
What the warranty does not cover:
1. Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
2. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from: A. Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, unauthorized product modification, or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product. B. Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by AXN. C. Any damage of the product due to shipment. D. Removal from or installation to the product. E. Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuations or failure. F. Use of supplies or parts not meeting AXN’s specifications. G. Normal wear and tear. H. Battery Leakage. I. Any other cause which does not relate to a product defect.
3. Cosmetic damage by purchaser, such as markings, discoloration, scratches, dents, gouges or any other defacement.
4. Physically damaged products by purchaser, such as broken PCB, Housing, damaged LCD

5. No Defect Found (product returned to AXN as defective but failure is not duplicated by AXN’s test method).
6. Customer instruction, installation, set up adjustments, or signal reception problems.
7. Rechargeable batteries.
8. Product without proof of purchase. (The proof of purchase should be one of the following documents: purchase receipt, gift receipt, sales invoice, and packing list that contains the product model number, price, vendor, and purchase date.)
9. Ninety (90) days after the original purchase date of the AXN product, the customer is responsible for the shipping fees incurred for the product delivery to and from AXN service center.
How to get service:
1. For additional information on obtaining an extended warranty service, contact your AXN dealer or AXN’s Customer Service Department by e-mailing to customerservice@axionzone.com To obtain warranty service, you will be required to do one of the following: fill out an online 1-909-869-5545, or call AXN’s Customer Service number at 1-909-869-6600. You will be asked to provide the following information: A. Customer information (name, day-time phone number, and/or residential address). B. Proof of your purchase (purchase receipt, gift receipt, sales invoice, and/or packing list). C. Product model number. D. Product serial number. E. A description of the problem. F. Payment information (If any payment is required, you will be asked to provide this information beforehand. Currently, we only accept personal check, money order or cashier’s check. The time for us to clear a personal check is approximately 20 days; 10 days for any money order or cashier’s check.

2. AXN will contact the customer upon receipt of the RMA Request Form, and will issue an RMA number if the RMA Request Form is completed and delivered as requested.
3. Please take or ship RMA product to AXN or any AXN authorized service center with RMA number clearly and marked on the outside of the packing. All RMA products should be returned in secured packaging, preferably in the original package, with the complete set of accessories. We recommend that you insure the package in case of loss or damage during shipping.
4. Upon receiving the RMA product, if the correct RMA number is clearly marked on the packaging, and if the repair payment is pre-paid or is enclosed with the package, depending on the condition of the defects, AXN will repair or replace all RMA products, and ship the product back to the customer.
5. For additional information or the name of the nearest AXN service center, please contact your AXN dealer or AXN Customer Service.

In many cases, your product may not need repair. Before contacting us, please consult the troubleshooting section in your user’s guide or AXN’s FAQ webs page to see if you can easily remedy the problem yourself.

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE CONSUMER. AXN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BYAPPLICABLE LAW, ANYIMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.
