Quick Setup Guide

Congratulations on purchasing your
second audio Microphone Pod for
Avaya Scopia XT Series. This brings
an additional audio source for your
videoconference, for optimal audio
quality in both small and large
conference rooms. The Microphone Pod
can be used as single 3-way mic for
the XT Executive and XT4000 Series,
or as second cascaded mic on XT7000
Series.

Setting Up this Device

Connect the cables as detailed in the diagram overleaf,
then follow the steps below to complete the setup of the
Avaya Scopia Premium XT 3-way Microphone Pod. For
details on how to use the system after setup, see the User
Guide for Avaya Scopia XT Series.

If the POD must be connected to a XT7000 Series
endpoint, the procedure is as follows:

Step 1.

Check if the first Premium 3-way POD is correctly
connected to the rear panel of the Scopia XT7000 codec.

Step 2.

Use the cable supplied with the new POD to connect
one of the two ports on the bottom panel of the new
microphone POD to the available port of the first
microphone POD.

Step 3.

Fasten the cables to the device with the cable hooks
located on the bottom of the POD. To obtain an optimal
audio capture and post processing, place the two PODs
at a distance of at least two meters one each other.

If the POD must be connected to a XT4000 Series
endpoint or XT Executive 240, the procedure is as follows.

Step 1.

Connect the new Microphone Pod output to to the
microphone input on the rear panel of the Scopia XT
endpoint.

Step 2.

Fasten the cable to the device with the cable hook
located on the bottom of the POD

Step 3.

Place the POD in the middle of the table.

The optional Scopia XT Premium 3-way POD can be used as single POD for Scopia XT Executive 240 and Scopia XT4000
Series, or as cascaded second POD for Scopia XT7000 Series. It cannot be cascaded to the Scopia XT 3-way POD provided
with Scopia XT5000 Series.
