Special Notice
This document describes your Access Stack Node (ASN) memory upgrade kit. The kit contents are similar whether you are upgrading your ASN memory to 8 MB or to 16 MB. Check the shipment contents, referring to Table 1.

Labeling the ASN

Labeling the ASN
After you perform the DRAM SIMM upgrade, you must label the rear panel of the ASN with a new Order number label, and the ASN motherboard with a new DRAM order number label. Labeling the ASN with the new labels is important because future repairs and upgrades will require that you identify the correct memory configuration of your ASN. To properly label your ASN, complete the following steps.
1. Identify the existing Order number label by looking at the rear panel of the ASN. See Figure 1.

2. Apply the new Order number label (which will read 30001, 30002, or 30003) over the existing Order number label on the ASN.
