Installation Instructions

Important Safety Instructions

Always follow these basic safety precautions when installing the
Model 90A Attenuator:

1. Read and understand all instructions.

2. Never touch uninsulated telephone wires or terminals, unless
the telephone line has been disconnected at the network
interface.

3. Use caution when installing this product on telephone lines.

4. DO NOT install this product on telephone wiring during a
lightning storm.

5. Never install this product in a wet location.

Save these instructions

Installation

1. Refer to the diagram below for placement instructions. Be
sure to use the 2-foot 4 conductor (D4BU) modular cord
supplied with the Attenuator (Comcode 107864456).

2. Connect one end of the 2-foot D4BU cord to a modular jack
on the Attenuator.
Connect the other end of the cord to a station jack on the
control unit.

3. Connect the modular cord from the modem to the other
modular jack on the Attenuator.
